Meadowside Reviews

Excellent property. Very well equipped the owners have thought of everything. Comfy beds. Great location for exploring this area of Cornwall. Well definitely be visiting again.
We really enjoyed our recent stay, the actual home looked better than the pictures even though I didn't think that was possible. It was well equipped, the kitchen had everything you could possibly think of. The hot tub is a great touch too, lovely for relaxing after a day exploring. It is a very short drive from Perenporth which we visited a lot during our stay. The information guide was fab, a real personal touch to tell us about the history of the home & furnishings as well as need to know phone numbers, takeaway details and leaflets on things to do. I would definitely give this home a 1010
We could not have wished for anything better. So well equiped with good quality fixtures, fittings and equipment. Pictures are what you see is what you get. The whole house is so large. Nothing was too much trouble for the owner, who answered questions by text immediately. We can thoroughly recommend Meadowside.
Barbara
Great accommodation, hot tub definitely a bonus.
Robert
We had a fantastic weeks stay it was like home from home . Over the years we have stayed in many propertys this was by far the best congratulations to the owners
Abigail
Really lovely house with so much space felt like a home from home.
Amazing property, plenty of space all rooms are very spacious and although we were a group of 4, it can easily accommodate 8 with enough space to hide if needed. All rooms were well equiped especially the kitchen. All the showers performed well and the beds were comfortable. The village pub is good, with great food and the local store garden center provides good fresh produce the garden center has a fruit and veg shop restaurant. Well served by a bus route that goes to Perranporth Truro and Newquay The only thing I would say that goes against the listing was that the hot tub is overlooked from one side. One more thing, the house has lovely hosts that take care of the hot tub and obviously have a great deal of love for the property
The holiday home was second to none and would recommend to friends and relatives, we will definitely stay there again in the future when visiting that area. The listing of the property doesn't actually do it justice, it far outweighed our expectations. The arrival to fresh milk in the fridge and teacoffee meant we could have a nice drink before getting ourselves unpa ked after a long drive.
I have just spent the most incredible week at Meadowside in the Cornish sunshine. A group of us who are long time friends all met at Meadowside for a week of fun and reminiscing and the property was absolutely perfect for us. We had plenty of space for us all and the garden was stunning, we particularly enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub and sitting outside with a glass of wine in the sunshine. The accommodation was very clean and comfortable and was equipped with everything we could possibly need. We felt very welcomed at Meadowside and were greeted with lovely fresh flowers and a voucher for the local shop, which really is the best local shop I've come across! The location of this property is perfect for exploring Cornwall, it's close to many beaches such as Perranporth, Crantock and Newquay. We also visited the stunning towns of St Ives and Padstow which really aren't far away. There is a lovely local pub across the road which offered great food and entertainment. I would highly recommend Meadowside and we'll certainly be visiting again. Thank you to the owners Amanda and David, we all had a fantastic holiday.
We had an amazing stay at Meadowside. The property is the most well appointed we have ever stayed in and was spotless we were particularly taken with the Neff appliances! There was a welcome gift left which was a lovely surprise to find along with milk in the fridge. The children loved the gardens and the addition of the hot tub made their week. The property gave us space to mix and spread out alike. It is perfectly located for Perranporth beach and other local attractions but still quiet. Local amenities were spot on with a playground for the children, a lovely local shop and a pub that served amazing food. My only disappointment is that upon returning home to rebook for the same time next year the week had already gone! I have no doubt that we will be back at some point in the future at some point.

Just spent 7 nights here at meadowside and have no bad words to say, everything was perfect from start to finish. House was well equipped tidy and spacious and perfect for disabled wheelchair user will definitely return.
Sharon
The property exceeded our expectations. The amount of room the property gives is a big bonus, we were a family of 7 adults and a young baby. There is nothing we needed to ask for, it is home from home and over and above. Good location for travelling around and we would hope to return again. Thank you to the owners for a spotless home.

Easily one of the nicest, most wellequipped properties we've stayed in the UK. The kitchen especially had all the pots, pans and accessories that we needed to make the most out of a selfcatered holiday. The hot tub was also a lovely bonus to soak in after a long day of walking around the coast. The house was well located for us to travel to some very good beaches and places to visit and was very reasonably priced for the size and standard. Would definitely book again in the future if we visit Cornwall again. My only minor complaint was the front bedroom near the front door was uncomfortably warm all the time, like the heating was permanently turned on in it.
We had a fantastic time with the accommodation being immaculate, well stocked and in an ideal location. Would not hesitate to recommend.
Tracey
We had a lovely long weekend at Meadowside. The property was very spacious, clean and well equipped. It is in a great position, not far from Newquay. We would love to stay for longer next time.
Great holiday. The house is very well equipped and very spacious. Very well located for exploring Cornwall with beaches nearby. The house comfortably suited our family and we all loved the hot tub. The house was lovely and clean and we will definitely be coming again and recommending to our friends.
Overall a really good stay and we were really comfortable in the property. We had a couple of small issues when we first checked in the upstairs electrics had tripped and the underfloor heating was set too warm for our liking. Once notified, the owners came across quickly to resolve. However we didn't really master the heating and the downstairs rooms remained very warm through the stay. The property is really well appointed with lots of kitchen equipment, board games etc and is very spacious and comfortable. My once slight disappointment was that the log burner wasn't usable as this was something we had specifically searched for. Overall cleanliness was very good, although we did find some hair from the previous occupants on one of the bedroom carpets and tablecloth. Overall a really good stay and I would recommend
Wow... .is the word we would use for this place, exceeded expectations, beautiful comfortable, clean holiday home, with a home from home feel. The home owners provide absolutely everything you need and more, even the added touches of games and toys for the little ones, and fresh flowers on arrival, plus the added bonus of the hot tub which was a big hit. Close to the beach and 10 minutes away from Newquay. Thank you for having us! We will definitely be booking again!!
Shirley
Meadowside was as described, of very high quality, extremely spacious and very well equipped with everything you could possibly need a real home from home. In a good position for exploring the region, lovely garden and hot tub, good wifi, plenty of parking and close to local shop and pub. Appreciated the very organised applicance instruction folder and clear labelling no struggling with cooker or microwave in the middle of cooking dinner! Highly recommended.
Stephanie
The holiday home was lovely, very clean and homely. Went to Perranporth one evening on the bus which was a lovely place, tried to get a taxi back, but could not get hold of anyone, luckily bus runs until late.
EXCEPTIONALLY well equipped with excellent and prompt assistance from the owner should that be required. Large, spacious and well designed property, ideal for multigeneration family holidays.
Fab week in this house. Perfect location, facilities were everything you needed and more. Lovely and spacious and would highly recommend
Super holiday! The house was extremely spacious and the facilities were excellent! The owner could not have been more helpful!
Lovely large luxury home with lots of parking space. Large garden, patio and hot tub allow you to make the mos of the outdoors. The house is sited in a handy spot for travelling to all parts of Cornwall, only 5 minutes drive or 15 mins cycle to Perranporth beach and town. The pub opposite does excellent food and local Londis 1 minute walk has a fantastic fresh pasty and cake section! Would recommend.

We had an amazing holiday in Cornwall. Meadowside is a beautiful home from home furnished to the highest standard. To be honest the photographs do not do it justice. Very spacious and comfortable, equipped with absolutely everything. large garden where we enjoyed family BBQ's and relaxing in the hot tub was just splendid. Amanda the owner was on the other end of the telephone and very helpful and friendly. Meadowside house is suitable for everyone. Our family are older but non the less they had such a fantastic stay they wish to return. The house is not far from beaches and alot of activities available for all ages. Our family enjoyed various meals out however the local New Inn just at the corner of the street was lovely. Very friendly and food was nice. The house is a great base to visit surrounding areas which we did. This house was worth the long drive from Scotland and honestly we would return in a heartbeat. Thank you Amanda we just loved your house and the extra finishing touches especially a bit of night time reading of your family history ...just beautiful x This holiday home is a must and we will return. Thank You again Elaine & Patrick Erskine
The house was brilliant. It was spacious with plenty of room for two families as well as being kitted out with everything you might possibly need. A nice touch was the children's toys that were provided. The location was excellent and we found the local shop really useful, especially for fresh bakery items.
Natasha
Meadowside is a beautiful, expansive property and our family of 3 generations had a wonderful stay there. The property is thoughtfully decorated and furnished to a very high spec. The kitchen is fantastically well equipped and there was even a BBQ provided which was perfect for the heatwave we were experiencing. I would also add that back garden was enormous and the 11 year old in our group was able to amuse himself for hours. We would have no hesitation in going back to Meadowside for a future visit.
