You will not find a better range of facilities, hot tub, sauna, log burner, dog friendly & lots of extra little touches from the owners. Wow, what a beautiful holiday home parlour barns is. We spent 7 truly amazing nights here celebrating our engagement along with our family and the memories we have created here will never be forgotten. This place has everything including the sauna, hot tub, all the kitchen appliances with the ice machine, all of the board games AND a huge games room that has its own karaoke machine and tuned piano that we spent many hours having fun. JO you were amazing and you catered for my family providing more towels and robes so thank you, such a wonderful friendly, polite and caring host. I could not fault this place and if youre looking at this wondering whether to book it or not BOOK IT you will not be disappointed. We will be back again next year for sure.

Parlour Barn is an exceptional barn conversion that is perfect in every way . Fantastic amenities both within and outside the property, all high quality and well maintained . The sauna , hot tub & games room were used by our family and provided space to spread out on rainy days . We highly recommend this property and wouldnt hesitate to make the 4 hour trip to get there . The owners have really thought of everything , even down to providing home cooked meals and pet sitting . If your thinking of booking this property, stop thinking and just book it you wont be disappointed .

Totally awesome property. Superbly equipped with everything we could possibly need. Great touches like the robes, spa towels and doggy towels. Love the tasteful decor and homely feel. Games room made the trip and allowed us to keep two 16 year olds entertained and off their phones!! Loved the whole experience and hope to return.

I couldn't have asked for a nicer destination for my hen party weekend. The Parlour Barn was simply stunning inside, it actually felt alot bigger than it looked in the pictures! And the whole house was spotless, I didn't see a single piece of dust or dirt anywhere. The views from the house are just amazing rolling hills and the sheep & lambs! The hot tub was perfect, clean and all set up ready to use, and under a cover in case of bad weather. The sauna was also lovely and clean too. We absolutely loved the games room! We spent the whole day in there and didn't get bored, we loved the karaoke machine and the bar with the saddle stools were so cool! There is plenty of space for 6 people, it didn't feel cramped at all and you could easily stay here for a week. Lots of nice touches like separate towels for showering and using the hot tub, and nice fluffy robes to use, also the welcome hamper was such a wonderful surprise! The garden is lovely too, plenty of space if you have dogs or children with you. Lots of local walks on your doorstep and a gorgeous spa only 30 mins away, and the local town is lovely with lots of choices of restaurants. I 100 wouldn't hesitate to stay here again! We're already looking at booking the bigger house to come and stay with family in the summer

Everything was fabulous. If I was nitpicking the lounge did smell a bit doggy but nevertheless still clean.

I had arranged a hen weekend at Parlour Barn and it was the perfect venue. The hens loved relaxing in the private sauna and hot tub, and all enjoyed some friendly competition in the games barn. We were a little nervous in the run up to the weekend due to a huge snowstorm, but the owner was so helpful and reassuring with travel updates that we all felt at ease. The amazing view at sunset over snowy hills on our first night more than made up for the travel nerves!

Parlour Barn is by far the best holiday let we have stayed in. Attention to detail 100. We stayed over Christmas and the barn was beautifully and tastefully decorated. Christmas plates and t towels. Fantastic stay at this lovely barn, superclean and comfortable,with everything you could want. Grandkids loved the playbarn, so much to do there, great fun for all.We had one of Jo the owners' homemade meals' first night, it was delicious! and very welcome after long day at Alton Towers, jacuzzi was lovely too with great views.Simply a great stay.

What an amazing house. Definately the best equipped, most comfortable, well thought out home we've stayed in. Nothing was too much trouble and in particular the help from the owners throughout the stay was invaluable great recommendations for places to visit, as well as stay. To give an idea of just how good they were.... despite being in the middle of the peak district and amazing for walks, our 'teens' were falling about and moaning end of the world that one of the playstation controllers was a bit slow. Just happened to mention it to Jo and less than an hour later a brand new controller was delivered personally, and in the little darlings hands. And they were quiet for an entire day. Bonus points. We were a family of 5 plus two v active boxer dogs who loved EVERYTHING, particularly being able to run around in the massive outdoor space and also dipping their noses into the jacuzzi!

We have just returned from a 7 night stay stay at Parlour Barn and we didnt want to come home! The setting and views are beautiful, the amenities for us and our guests were outstanding. We thoroughly enjoyed the hot tub watching the sun go down and the games shack was great fun. The cooking facilities were fab so my husband tells me and we couldnt have chosen a better property. Beautiful cottage in an amazing location with loads to see and do. We could have happily spent our fortnight without leaving the grounds the facilities were so good. Whilst feeling you are in the countryside, Leek is still close by with many choices of eateries and a vast array of shops.

The property and surroundings were absolutely stunning and equipped with everything we could possibly need. We enjoyed using the facilities on site and visiting the beautiful countryside nearby. It was wonderful to be local for a day at Alton Towers. We had a perfect holiday with our teenage children and dog.

We had the best holiday we could have wished for. Our kids loved the outdoor space and the games room& talking to the cows in the field. With the weather being so hot it was lovely to come in after a day exploring and being able to go downstairs to the coolness of the bedrooms. Highly recommended.

A very luxurious barn conversion with top spec equipment along side the hot tub, proper hot coal sauna and champagne hut all with lighting and heating. The beds were incredibly comfortable and the pillows were like nothing we had slept on before. Jo the host was good enough to share the make with us as it cured my bad back and my motherinlaw's arthritic pain! We had so much fun exploring and playing the games in the shed on the beautifully kept lawn which was ideal for the crochet and badminton. We had a lot of fun in the games hut especially when we used the cowboy bar with saddle stools. This aided our kareokee attempts. Jo cooked us two delicious meals that were of fascistic quality and satisfied even the fuzziest eaters. Gluten free was also no problem. The owners could not have been more accommodating. Nothing was too much bother. The barn was full of surprises and equipped like no other we have ever stayed in before. They're were 6 draws of games. We even had permission to book an animal party from Animal Magic in Buxton as our disabled son couldn't get out and about. That worked brilliantly. We aimed for a good holiday to make happy memories and we got that and at so much more! It was worth every penny and we'd happily return. What an absolute jem of a find.

The property is also extremely well located within 15mins drive of all amenities and activities like Alton Towers, a wildlife park and multiple great walks. Best of all the property is suitable for all age groups and mixes as you have access to a games room that can provide hours of entertainment for adults and children alike. I will be recommending the Property and the other 2 located on site to all family and friends.

Fantastic house with all mod cons and great facilities. Very comfortable and high spec. Had a fantastic weekend with friends celebrating a big birthday. Loved the hot tub, and little hut where we played cards. The play barn was great once we had worked out where it was. The views are beautiful, would recommend to all. We went into Leek for lunch and a walk round. The owner Jo was lovely and cooked us a great meal on the Saturday night.

We went to parlour barn for my mums 70th birthday. 5 adults and 1 child, there was ample amount of space and great facilities. The hot tub and sauna was truly amazing amongst the view. We ended up having the game shack to ourselves which was also made with great thought as there was a good choice of games. This is a great place if you just want to relax. May not be the most appropriate if you want to do some neighbourhood walks. We drove out to the nearest reservoir which had some good walking routes. Other than that, can not fault the place, the owners are very accommodating and the place is beautiful, definitely worth your time and money.

Myself, 5 friends and our dog stayed for the weekend at Parlour Barn part of Hollydale Barns and had the most amazing time. We all said that the facilities and decor had no expensives spared and we all spent a lot of time in the games barn, hot tub and even the sauna. The house was beautiful and very comfortableperfect for a time away with family or friends! The information folder was super useful and even had walk information which we used. But we cannot thank Jo and her husband enough as one of our party lost his watch whilst we were away and despite us looking there, we couldnt find it. We mentioned it as we left and the team there have spent a lot of time looking for it which, on its own, was above and beyond what they had to do! Days later, Jo has rang to say theyve found it and will spend it back to uswe cannot thank them enough for letting us stay in this gorgeous place but also returning the watch back. You are transported from the valley floor right up above where you can enjoy superb Dewent Valley Views. You can also stroll around 60 acres of wooded hillside on foot to see an array of birds and wildlife.

British Wildlife Rescue Centre - TN8 7AR

This is a really unique opportunity to see the fantastic work going on at this centre. The purpose of the British Wildlife Rescue Centre is to treat and care for injured wildlife which cannot be released into the wild. Many of the animals are brought to the centre by members of the public or the RSPCA. Gulliver's Kingdome - WA5 9YZ

The site is rather unique and features a huge array of rides including log flumes, roller coasters and pirate ships. The toddler time sessions take place during term times on week days from 9.30am until 2.30pm and are very popular.
