We had a lovely stay and Helen was very helpful and friendly. All the rooms were lovely and comfy and plenty of space for the 6 of us and our dog. Hot tub was nice and warm, even though we stayed in December! The property was secure so the dog was always safe and the Christmas decorations and lights helped us get into the festive spirit.

Absolutely fabulous property with everything you need whether staying a weekend or a week or two. Well equipped kitchen with great sized oven, x2 fridges and decent freezer, super sized TVs to super soft linen. Plenty of seating for all, inside and out which is all topped off with the hot tub and sauna.

Helen was very welcoming and left the property with everything we needed for our stay, even a treat for the dog. The property was very comfortable and even on a rainy day had plenty to to from playing games, watching a box set on Netflix and relaxing in the hot tub and sauna. The enclosed garden was great as we could relax knowing the dog was safe. We would definitely recommend a visit.

The cottage had great facilities and everything that we needed for our stay and so lovely it had the hot tub and sauna to use also. Great location to explore Kent and the surrounding areas. The cottage had everything you could wish for. Helen was a truly wonderful host, She even lent us a pushchair for the week, for our 3 year old granddaughter. Location , perfect, supermarket only 5 minutes, large out of town shopping centre 7 minutes, train station, (for a day in London), 10 minutes. Also lots of nice pubs for food and drink within 15 minutes. We will definitely be staying here again. The Middleton family 16th to 23rd June 2023.

We had a wonderful time at Stone Cottage. Great facilities, plenty of kitchen and BBQ equipment, good garden furniture etc. All had been thoroughly thought out so guests could be super comfortable. Great dog walks through open fields right next to the house and a fab pub within walking distance that did excellent food and had a superb singer perfor ming at the weekend. Helen was a wonderful host, friendly and attentive.

Just home from a wonderful weeks stay at Stone Cottage. The cottage is beautiful, clean, well equipped & spacious. The views & garden are beautiful with plenty of space for kids to run around in safely as its all enclosed. My children loved watching all the birds. The hot tub & sauna was a big hit with all! Really enjoyed our stay & will definitely return. The garden was nice & secure for my little chihuahua to run free & a nice place to sit in the sun & BBQ. Its a great base to visit lots of places. Apologies for late review. We highly recommend this beautiful cottage. We were celebrating my daughters 30th birthday and the place was perfect; well equipped, clean and tidy. The cottage is secure and dog friendly, so we took our daughters dog with us. Helen lives next to the property and popped her head in to welcome us and say goodbye. She offer ed advice on places to eat and local dog walks. Just behind the cottage is a rural area perfect for a long walk. Thank you, Helen. 5 Stars from us

We had a very comfortable stay here (7 adults and 2 dogs). The accommodation and facilities worked really well for us. We could all sit and eat and sit and relax in comfortable chairs together. The kitchen was well equipped - all that we needed was provided. The enclosed garden worked well with the dogs whilst the local walks were great. Plenty to do and see in the area from culture to retail therapy (in the rain) and even the seaside is within easy reach. We would definitely recommend.

If you are thinking of booking a stay at Stone Cottage, then we would highly recommend that you do. The house was lovely, spacious and clean. The kitchen was so well equipped. It was lovely to have all the extras provided such as shower gel, hand-wash, toilet rolls and many other things. Also a lovely bottle of prosecco was left for us. The hot tub was a big hit with our group. It was always a lovely temperature and lovely to relax in. Helen was a lovely host and always very friendly.

We had a fantastic New Year's break at Stone Cottage with friends. Helen was so welcoming and friendly, showing us round the house and making sure we had everything we needed. She even left a bottle of bubbly! The house is such a great layout with multiple areas to hang out. The hot tub is huge with capacity for 8 people. Helen came round the back of the house in the morning to service it which was great. We took the footpaths to the King's Head in Shadoxhurst for dinner. Perfect stay - thanks!

I cant fault this property it had absolutely everything, the owner had thought of everything, and I mean everything, washing tablets, plenty of bin liners. I could go on, its beautifully maintained, very spacious, even towels for the hot tub were provided! Dont hesitate to book this you wont be disappointed!!! Loved our stay at Stone Cottage, the house was ideal. The bedrooms were all a really good size, and very comfortable. The entire house was cleaned to a high standard and there was everything that we could have needed in the kitchen. The hot tub was an extra bonus bringing a little bit of luxury to our weekend away. Our group included a toddler and a baby and the house had a travel cot, high chair and stair gates which all made our visit that bit easier. Would definitely recommend and revisit!

Beautiful cottage with a perfect layout, superbly furnished by David and Helen who were so helpful during our stay. It was great to relax in the hot tub and sauna after a day of exploring or shopping. Ideally located for Canterbury, Ashford outlet, swimming and Brands Hatch. Cook a meal in the fully equipped kitchen before relaxing in front of the log burner, then retire to the comfy beds with crisp linen and plenty of fluffy towels. We thoroughly recommend a stay at Stone Cottage. Excellent.

Beautiful cottage, plenty of space and ample equipment in the kitchen. Towels were provided for both bathroom use and jacuzzi use, which was good. The owners, who live next door, were very friendly and approachable. Nothing was too much trouble. Would definitely recommend staying at this property. We all had a great weekend break.

Extremely clean. 2 stair gates leading to the upstairs was very handy as we had a 1 year old trying to get everywhere. Working fireplace for a nice cosy evening. Very secure with the gated entrance. Owner was very welcoming. Close to shopping and attractions. Hot tub and sauna was a bonus. Would 100% recommend and we will be returning ourselves one day.

Great Kent attraction and actually the biggest play centre in Kent.  From babies right through to toddlers and juniors there is something to suit all ages.  For roddlers the under 5s play frame has a host of activities including a tube slide, ball pool and funny mirrors. Juniors will be attractoed to the Imagine Village where they can drive little cars on the specially designed roadway. If you live locally this is also a great place to meet people and make new friends.

Port Lympne - The Aspinall Wild Animal Experience in nearby Kent is one of the regions most popular attractions and should be top of your list if you have animal lovers in the family. The site is home to over 500 rare and endangered animals from all around the world including the beautiful Siberian Tigers and the largest breeding herd of Black Rhino outside of Africa. The park was set up to protect endangered species and while enjoying the experience visitors can learn about the dangers the animals face in the wild and the reasons for their decline. The centre aims to return animals to the wild wherever possible and the enclosures are designed closely match the animals natural habitat.

Brockhill Country Park once formed part of a large estate dating right back to Norman times. Today the old manor house is part of Brockhill School but the grounds are still open to the public and are a popular place to enjoy a picnic on a summer day. The park is abundant with wildlife including butterflies and birds.
Bodiam Castle - TN32 5UA

Bodiam Castle (National Trust) was built in 1385 and much of the exterior of the castle is still in tact although most of the interior was destroyed during the Civil War. The castle and grounds are a popular attraction in Sussex and have a children's activity area and a year round events programme including Bonfire night firework displays and Halloween spooky pumpkin parades. On selected date's visitor's cam meet real castle characters and get an insight into castle life.
Bedgebury National Pinetum & Forest - TN17 2SJ

Bedgebury National Pinetum & Forest is another very popular attraction and is great for families as there is loads of open space for children to run around. Bedgebury is home to the beautiful National Pinetum and a further 2000 acres of forest as well as an excellent adventure play trail. Families can explore the site via the miles cycling routes and for the more experienced rider there are also 12 km of mountain biking tracks. The specially designed play area features a butterfly climbing wall, a spider's web, a ship wreck and tree stump nest tunnels. Other activities include Go Ape aerial ropes and a brand new zip wire course.
Wildwood Trust - CT4 5EL

Wildwood Trust is well worth a visit if you are staying in the local area.  You can experience close encounters with native wildlife - all in a beautiful forest setting.  You will find this attraction between the coastal town of Herne Bay and the ancient city of Canterbury.  There is a wide variety of animals to see including badgers, foxes and otters. The Hop Farm offers fun for children of all ages and the fun starts as soon as you enter with Giant Jumping Pillows and huge Outdoor Play Area and Frame with Slides, Bridges, Towers and much more. There are also a number of rides including the gentle Victorian Carousel. A ride on a Shire Horse is a great way to explore the park and as you wander around you will find the fantastic Lost World Maze, the Magic Factory and the crazy 3D Great Goblin Hunt.

Adventure Island costs nothing to enter and there is an array of rides and attractions on offer. The Big Adventure rides include the Dragon's Claw, Rage and Vortex.  For younger children there is just as much fun on offer with rides like the Cow Jump, Over the Hill and Dragon.
