These four fine detached holiday properties with breathtaking views over Cardigan Bay, are furnished to a very good standard and are just 100 yards from the cliff top. Gwbert-on-Sea is a small, quiet hamlet on the eastern shore of the mouth of the Teifi Estuary, just a couple of miles outside Cardigan. The settlement takes its name from a wandering saint. St Gwbert is said to have landed here and sheltered in a cave.

The shoreline is marked by rugged cliffs and small shingle bays, with large stretches of sandbank exposed at low tide, and the area gives superb views over a diverse and scenic landscape. The ancient oak woodland of the Teifi Valley, the tidal marshes of the estuary, and the boundary of the Pembrokeshire Coast National Park can all be appreciated from here. The 18-hole golf course, the home of Cardigan Golf Club, also offers fine views of the estuary and sea, and from the headland you can look across to Cardigan Island. The mud and sand flats of the estuary attracts a great variety of birds.

In the autumn such waders as the redshank, oystercatcher and curlew can be seen feeding here, along with several species of migrating duck. The headland of Craig y Gwbert is the site of an Iron Age Fort. Pieces of pottery have also been found near Gwbert, and are now on display in Cardigan museum. Shops 31/2 miles, pub 100 yards.

Was a lovely size cottage, enough space for large families and if you needed some me time you can go in to a different room to watch telly. I would highly recommend this cottage to anyone! I would buy the cottage to live in if I could! The only thing was the hot tub was locked on a setting so we couldnt turn the temperature up when it got cold on the evening but even that was ok Just could of done with it being up a little more. Its very quiet, so you can relax! And about 10 minutes drive to local shop and beach!

We were a family with 5 adults and 4 children. We found plenty to do, we all loved having our own hot tub, great fun. The kitchen could have been better equipped, especially more sharp knives and an electric coffee machine would be a real asset. We did contact the 'owner' twice and were impressed with a quick response. Would be happy to stay here again.

Location is good, house has everything you need but expected the area to have more for small children, a gate would have been good to stop dogs & kids getting out of the back garden. If weather was better could have done more. Enjoyed food at cliff hotel & views were amazing.

It's a lovely cottage and suited our family beautifully. The hot tub was so welcome on cloudy days. The inside space was excellent. Especially the spacious well equipped kitchen area.

We loved it

We had a great holiday at Sandbank which was spacious and well equipped. The hot tub was a great addition to the facilities.
The scenery was great too. The Gwbert Hotel just across the way offered excellent food at reasonable prices with helpful and pleasant staff.
