Beautiful barn conversation with bags of character, and lots of exposed historic roof and post timbers. Cosy feel especially with the lovely underfloor heating. Patio area was great, and the hot tub was brilliant after a long day out walking the dogs, with footpaths either a short walk into Thaxted or around the fields. We have just returned from our stay at Goddard's Mead with my husband and two dogs. It was 4 nights of staying in a blissful sanctuary. We met the lovely animals on farm and the most friendly resident pup! The whole cottage provides a warm and welcoming environment. The property is under a flight path - this did not disturb us at all! Dont be put off! A great location for dogs who hate fireworks as it's in the middle of nowhere. It was everything we wanted for our weekend away and we loved staying here. We'll definitely be back! Our pups absolutely loved the underfloor heating and had so much fun in the garden. In fact Luna came home with a strained tail and according to the vet it was because she was wagging it so much over the weekend!! Very happy pups and hoomans!

This attraction is currently under construction but we are looking forward to it opening in early 2011. The philosophy of the Discovery Centre is 'healthy body, healthy mind, healthy planet and aims to change people's attitudes and actions towards our planet. Educational as well as fun there are plenty of activities such as outdoor sport pitches, cycle and walking trails and indoor activity rooms. This is a unique attraction for the whole family.
