Lovely location in among mature trees and so peaceful. The cottage is equipped with really good quality, modern fixtures and fittings. The log burner was wonderful for the cold evenings and there are plenty of radiators and hot water. The owner was really helpful in sorting out any queries and made us feel very welcome. Loved the indoor pool and th e jacuzzi. Great base for visiting coast and Wroxham. Don't miss Roy's of Wroxham.
Kevin
We wanted a short break as a middle-aged couple (with an elderly mother) as a short respite in a quiet location close to the Norfolk Broads to make day trips. We couldn't have wished for more as the property is in the most wonderful setting of Smallburgh Hall, full of fabulous trees, grounds and superb facilities. The hosts made us most welcome and the supporting information guides made everything very easy to get settled very quickly. We left totally relaxed and reluctant to leave - Super stay
Neil
This is an amazing house in an amazing location; super nice, highly furnished property with its own hot tub and having access to the pool, snooker room and tennis court in the main hall is fantastic, especially when there is only one other house you are sharing the facilities with. The owner Susan is super responsive, even sending text reminders ea ch day on whether you were using the facilities that day and what time you want to book them for. Dog friendly too, What more do you need?
Adrian
A beautiful cottage in a peaceful setting with all mod cons and very clean. If you want to get away from city life then sit back in the hot tub with a nice glass of wine, fantastic pubs in local area serving very good food. Nearest one is a 15 minute walk. All of Norfolks attractions are a easy drive and you are in the countryside what else could y ou wish for.
Catherine

This is a lovely cottage in a lovely location. The cottage itself was great, very spacious, clean and modern. We had our own hot tub and use of the pool, which was also very nice. Alan
This is a beautiful cottage in a great setting with loads of facilities to keep you occupied. The location is lovely, a short drive from either the sea or the Broads. It was spotless and beautifully furnished. Hosted with no hassle, we really enjoyed our stay.

Fantastic location and beautiful property - a prime spot for exploring Norfolk, we only wish we had booked for longer! Fun to have the BBQ and Hot Tub + Swimming pool to use, in relative seclusion, and lovely to be able to bring the dog to such a luxurious cottage.

Found a special day out near your cottage? Please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too!
Bewilderwood - NR12 8JW
about 3 Miles
Bewilderwood is a fun day out for the whole family located in the Wroxham area of Norfolk.  This imaginative adventure park has won awards and we think kids especially will love the characters and the magical tree houses. You can even book your ticket online and beat the queues by visiting their website where you can also view video clips of the park. This place is also the setting for the book 'A Boggle at BeWILDerwood', by local children's author Tom Blofeld.  Parents are not left out either as you're encouraged to take part and play alongside your children.
Dinosaur Adventure Park - NR9 5JW
about 13 Miles
This fun family day out has been well planned and we think is certainly worth a visit.  New for 2010 is the PrimEvil at Dinosaur Adventure.  Other fun activities include the Dinosaur Trail, Arachnophobia, the Raptor Races and the adventure play area.  The secret animal garden is also popular.  You can play a role in wildlife conservation and sponsor an animal if you wish.  At the moment if you sign up for their newsletter there is a chance to win a family ticket.
Sheringham Park - NR26 8TL
about 16 Miles
The National Trust Sheringham Park in Norfolk was designed by Humphry Repton and the book of original designs can still be seen. The park has many attractions including a viewing tower and a gazebo with amazing coastal views, wildlife trails which young children will love and an exhibition barn where visitors can learn the history of the park.
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park - NR32 4TZ
about 21 Miles
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park is an amazing 50 acres area of stunning coastal parkland and is packed with family friendly rides and attractions. This park is an excellent choice for families with children of varied ages as there are a number of small rides for the little ones as well as some adrenaline boosting white knuckle rides for teenagers. As well as rides the site hosts some fantastic shows including the ever popular Sea Lion and Parrot encounters. At Halloween, Christmas and Easter other themed shows can also be enjoyed.  The site also has a good range of places to eat and drink whether you are looking to spend a leisurely hour relaxing with a meal or just grab a quick snack.
Bishops Boats Seal Trips - NR23 1RY
about 22 Miles
This is a really unique attraction running daily seal watching trips from the middle of March right through to the end of October.  The experienced skippers will lead you out on one of the traditional wooden boats where you will have the chance to see both common and grey seals.  If you love animals then this is one attraction not to be missed! They also do some boat trips combined with guides on dry land such as seal watching combined with a visit to Blakeney Point Nature Reserve, owned by the National Trust.  We think this attraction is excellent value for money as they keep their admission prices low.
Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens - NR21 0LN
about 23 Miles
if you and your family are interested in nature and wildlife then Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens is the perfect place for a day out. This beautiful area of national parkland is home to a huge range of common and rare birds from sparrows to Red Crowned Cranes and also has a red squirrel enclosure - part of a conservation programme and now home to a family of adorable squirrels. Other activities to enjoy at Pensthorpe include pond dipping and Landrover discovery tours. Pensthorpe also played host to BBC'S Springwatch in 2010.
Africa Alive - NR33 7TF
about 25 Miles
Africa Alive is one of Suffolk's largest attractions and one of the most popular in the whole of the UK.  The Africa themed park is very unique and gives visitors the chance to see some amazing creatures in a habitat which is as close to nature as possible. The park can be explored by car and on foot and Hyenas and Giraffes are just some of the animals you will encounter as you make your way around the park. Watch out for the lightning fast Cheetahs and keep your eyes peeled to spot the more reclusive creatures. During a day at Africa Alive there will be plenty of shows and educational talks taking place and if the weather turns then the indoor Adventure Play Ground comes in very handy. The site also has a well stocked Gift Shop and a Discovery Centre.
Melsop Farm Park - NR20 3DT
about 25 Miles
We love this attraction in Scoulton, Norfolk with a great collection of animals.  Children and adults alike have the chance to get hands on with the animals in the special handling areas.  On rainy days there is always the indoor play area for the little ones and when it's time for a bite to eat the cafe on the farm is open all day selling drinks and snacks.  Hot food is available over lunch times.
Banham Zoo - NR16 2HE
about 27 Miles
This award winning wildlife attraction has much to offer both families and couples looking for a fun and educational day out.  You can discover a whole wild world of animals with over 1000 different animals from around the world. You will probably want to try and spend the whole day here so you don's miss out on anything.  Highlights include the amazing animals presentation, the birds of prey display and the feeding talks, all of which take place at set times of the day.  This attraction is fantastic value for money and highly recommended.  Their latest event is the Snow Leopard Club Naming Auction and there has recently been a baby giraffe born at the zoo.
