Derwent Cottage is amazingly spacious and set in a wonderfully peaceful location. We had a fantastic week, making the most of the hot tub and seeing the local sites. Despite the remote location, the shops are surprisingly quick to get to. I'm keeping this place on my list to stay again in future.

We had arranged for a caterer to set up for our Saturday evening and the owner opened up for us so we didn't have to return early from our day out. Our stay in August at the Derwent was fabulous. The cottage was clean and had plenty of space for 5 adults and 2 dogs . All 3 bedrooms were en-suite. The hot tub was a lovely extra too. There were treats on arrival which were gluten free which was a lovely gesture. There was also a shop /hut on site for any little extras you may need Nothing was to o much trouble. The owner went above and beyond with gifts on arrival and an endless supply of logs for the hot tub and fire. A fantastic property with plenty of space. Jayne was lovely and the cakes, flowers and starter pack were a lovely touch. Logs were included for the inside wood burner and for the wood-fired hot tub which was used every day. My son even learned to play the piano that is in the lounge while he was there.
