As you sit on the two leather sofas in the first lounge, surrounding the warmth of the wood burner, enjoy the views of Black Combe fell whilst resisting the urge to go and explore. The open-plan lounge/kitchen/diner is a uniquely designed living space, the kitchen perfectly equipped for rustling up culinary delights.

A large dining table sits below the magnificent sky windows to enjoy your meal of the day, or for a quieter place to get away, chill out on the sofa in front of the TV. The bi-folding doors open out onto a raised decking area, so outside soon becomes inside.

There are three king-size bedrooms, one of the king-size shares a Jack and Jill shower room with the twin bedroom. All the bedrooms have their own TV.

Completing the property is the bathroom with a free-standing bath, separate shower, and WC. Outside, enjoy an evening drink while relaxing in the hot tub and plan what day's adventures lie ahead, or sit at the raised decked seating area where you can dine alfresco.

Coombe Bungalow Reviews

Emma
We really enjoyed our stay! The house was just what we needed - comfortable and well-equipped. The location was ideal, peaceful and close to the beach, which we loved. Sure, it’s a bit of a drive to get around, but that didn’t bother us. The low tide beach views were absolutely breathtaking - we’d definitely come back!

South Lakes Safari Zoo - LA12 0LU
about 7 Miles

This is an amazing Cumbria attraction well known locally as well as nationally for how close you can get to the animals.  Described as the most interactive animal park in Europe it's well worth a visit if you are staying in the area.  Open from April to end October some of the highlights are the tigers, penguins, bears, hippos and rhinos.  At 2pm during certain seasons it's feeding time so don't forget to plan your day around this so you can watch the animals enjoying their feed.  Look out for seasonal events such as Halloween Zoo Boo (free entry for kids in fancy dress) and The Magic of Christmas.

Rydal Mount & Gardens - LA22 9LU
about 21 Miles
Rydal Mount & Gardens are wonderfully situated between Lake Windermere and Rydal Water offering breathtaking scenery. The home of William Wordsworth from 1813 - 1850 the grand home is now lived in by the poets descendents but parts of the house and grounds are open to the public. Why not take a guided tour and see the rooms where many of the famous poems were written. The gardens are beautiful at all times of the year but in the summer offer a spectacular display of colour. There is also a gallery and a tearoom. Discounts are available for group bookings.
Happy Mount Park - LA4 5AQ
about 22 Miles
Happy Mount Park has attractions for the whole family including several play areas, a miniature railway, crazy golf, putting green and trampolines, there is also a paddling pool where the little ones can splash around in the summer and a café where the adults can relax with a drink. During the summer months and especially during school holidays live music can often be enjoyed.
Lakeland Wildlife Oasis - LA6 1JH
about 24 Miles
Located in the Milnthorpe area of Cumbria we love this local attraction.  With an eclectic mix of fascinating wildlife and hands on displays this centre is educational as well as fun.  You can wander around at leisure admiring the exhibits which range from chameleons to computers. Some of the most threatened species are kept at the park as part if international breeding programmes.  Check out their website for the latest opening times and admission costs which are great value for money.  There are discounts for pre-booked parties of 12 or more.
Ullswater Steamers - CA11 0US
about 27 Miles
This is an award winning Lake District attraction and they have been operating cruisers on Lake Ullswater for over 150 years.  There is no better way to explore the lakes than on water and you could even combine a cruise with a spectacular walk.  For great days out in this region then this attraction is highly recommended and will appeal to couples as well as families.  Corporate groups are also well catered for.
