We visited The Nook for the second time from Melbourne, Australiaand it didn’t disappoint. Our daughter, son-in-lawand granddaughter loved the comfy king-sized bed, the relaxing roll-top bathand the hot tub. Haley and Steve really make you feel at home. They’ve already promised to return with baby number two - can’t wait for our next stay!

We had a lovely stay at this cottage. The beds were honestly the comfiest we've had away from homeand the linen felt really luxurious. Everything we needed was providedand we brought along our dog without any issues. Watch out for the loose chickens upon arrival, though-once inside, the garden is fully secure unless your dog can leap a five-foot stone wall! The owners kindly moved their sheep, so we could enjoy exploring their field. The local pub, Cimberland, was very welcomingand a trip to Hexham is definitely worth it!

This is a museum and art gallery in one and will suit those looking for an educational and cultural day out.  You can explore the fantastic art collection including Fine Art, Decorative Art and Textiles.  If you love nature then this aspect of Tullie House will appeal. The museum holds large and important collections of zoological, botanical and geological material. And for lovers of history there is plenty to wet your appetite here. Go Ape Northumberland - NE48 1NT

Go Ape! has really taken off and become one of the most popular attractions in the UK.  The Northumberland course is set in the stunning grounds of Matfin Hall.  Described as a high wire forest adventure this really is one for the more daring as the course takes place right up in the tree tops.  Giant tree top obstacle courses include ladders, bridges, tunnels and some of the country's best zip lines.  You will be provided with all safety equipment and training on site.
Kielder Water Bird of Prey Centre - NE48 1BT

Housing the most fascinating collection of Birds of Prey in the North East this centre is definitely worth a visit if you are staying in the Kielder Water area. Located in Falstone it's easy to get to and makes a great day out for both families and couples.  As well as seeing the amazing birds you can learn all about the captive breeding programme and the excellent work being done there.  Some of the highlights of the day might include watching a Falcon stoop down from the skies at over 100mph and admiring the grace of the Eagles, Kites and Hawks.
Ullswater Steamers - CA11 0US

This is an award winning Lake District attraction and they have been operating cruisers on Lake Ullswater for over 150 years.  There is no better way to explore the lakes than on water and you could even combine a cruise with a spectacular walk.  For great days out in this region then this attraction is highly recommended and will appeal to couples as well as families.  Corporate groups are also well catered for.
