The Gardeners Cottage Richmond Reviews

Joe
What a lovely cottage. We were treated to an amazingl welcome pack complete with Prosecco, bacon and the best butter weve ever had! The cottage itself is so cosy, perfect for a family of four. The hot tub was fab and we made full use of the log burners. We were a bit worried that its often used by dog owners (our daughter can be allergic)but there Read morewas no evidence of dogs having stayed there. Great location too, set in a private estate with easy access to the Dales and North York Moors. Hide
Nikki
We had a lovely stay at the cottage - with the large fenced off gardens it was great for the dogs to wander and play without us worrying about them, and a lovely walk on the estate grounds was a great way to start the day. If you have reactive dogs, the horses in field and dogs in the main house may set them off. No faults with the cottage - it wasRead more comfortable and quiet, but the noise from the A1 is noticeable from the garden and especially loud on wet days. Hide

Cottage was delightful so warm and cosy great decor for total comfort. Fantastic out side spaces. Walled garden with hot tub such a sun trap and also very private, with the exception of the horses in adjoining paddock and they loved the attention you gave them. Beautiful cottage in a great location! In its own grounds with everything and more for those who love outdoor living! We spent sunny days on the loungers and ate our meals on the patio watching the horses and we were lucky enough to meet the ducks too! The apple trees and damson tree were an added bonus and made for a lovely crumble! We visited Ric hmond Falls and Layburn Market and thanks to the lovely weather we were able to spend our evenings in the hot tub, magical!

The cottage was great, nice comfortable kitchen table & surround bench, the lounge has comfy chairs & couch to sit on, while chillin, with a drink. Overall comfort feeling was good, we all said that we could easily live here. The views around was good, seeing the horses in the fields was nice & made it really made us feel at rest. The walks in the estate with the dogs was good, the dogs could feel free and enjoyed running around, with no danger to them or other animals, or traffic.
Andy
Highly recommended, very well furnished and decorated, all things you will need are there. Loved being able to explore the estate with our dog (on lead). Lots to see locally and further afield.

Beautiful cottage, well equipped, fantastic and relaxing. Hot tub, well kept gardens, horses, and ducks, in the next field gave the most relaxing stay. Everyone we met on the estate were so helpful and friendly.

We had a wonderful stay. We were welcomed with all we needed for a delicious breakfast, along with a lovely bottle of Prosecco. The cottage is clean, warm, lots of hot water and well equipped. It was also very comfortable. The setting is glorious. Right in the countryside. We did some lovely walks from the cottage and also drove onto the North York shire Moors and into the Dales. Highly recommended.

Lovely clean spacious cottage surrounded by fields. Very warm and comfortable. Our labradors loved the secure enclosed garden. Plenty of walks from the door. We had a very relaxing time!
Miranda
Cottage had everything we needed and had been renovated to a very high standard. The hot tub was a lovely added bonus. We enjoyed seeing the sheep and horses every day and the estate a lovely setting the only downside was hearing the background noise of the A1 when outside but otherwise a beautiful peaceful area. Was a great base for exploring the yorkshire dales.
Stephen

Annie
We had a lovely time at the cottage - so beautiful and cosy too. Garden is secure so our dog had a great time and lots of walks from the gate. It was so nice to have horses in the field next door. Jo was really helpful and friendly and the goodies in the fridge as well as lovely bread was a really nice welcome. Highly recommend it!
Jamie
Superb location, tucked away on large private estate. Felt recently decorated inside. Lovely, tasteful decor, well appointed kitchen and utility. Beds large and comfortable. Great bathroom and superb views all round. Exterior has lovely garden in 2 parts with views over paddock and horses. Early evening walk around estate is a lovely feature. Dogs loved a paddle in the stream. Helpful advice from Jo about where to go. Richmond brewery at Station was good as was all from Abbey to Castle.
Mark
A charming, warm and cosy Cottage offering plenty of space inside and out. In a wonderful location to go out and explore Richmond, Middleton Lodge as well as some picturesque walking trails in the surrounding area.
Steven
Wonderful cottage on a private estate that was the perfect escape from the real world.
Samantha
We really enjoyed our stay at Gardener's Cottage. Plenty of room for us plus pup. The new kitchen and seating area is lovely and the huge master bedroom, with very comfy bed, is beautiful. We also appreciated the separate bath and walk in shower. The garden was one of my favourite spaces with lots of seating. I loved the horses and sheep on the oth er side of the fence but my sensitive Collie unfortunately found it unsettling when they came to say hi. Overall though, a lovely time was had!
