Crows Nest Reviews

Julie
Lovely comfortable cottage with outstanding views and lots of walks on the doorstep and plenty of places to visit a short drive away. The owner was very welcoming. Would definitely come again.
Dale
We have had an excellent weeks stay at Crows Nest. The location was excellent with great views. The house was really simple and well designed. The Kitchen area and equipment was all of great quality and easy to use. The bathroom was really clean, and also had a washing machine in which was also very easy to use and did a good job. The shower was eRead morexcellent with plenty of power and a really good size. Plenty of storage in the bedroom and also hosted a good size and comfy bed. I would highly recommend this property. Hide

Ideally located if you just want to recharge and to have peace and quite from the hustle and bustle of the city. Superb views across the valley from the cottage and the hot tub.You may get the odd interruption from birds and distant sheep and cattle, but generally its you, the view and the wind in the trees! There is also a bonus as you may see deeRead morer appear out of the near wood land. The only down side, is the drive up Cove Hill Road to the destination, as this road becomes very narrow, the width of a car and it like that for about 1.5 miles. Best way we found was to use the Bolham Road from Tiverton and then take the Old Tiverton Road towards Bampton, which takes you round the back of Knighthayes. Hide

Fabulous views. Spotlessly clean and well equipped kitchen. Great to have an air fryer. Lovely shower. Be prepared for narrow single track lanes to get in and out and little or no WiFi. Very peaceful location. Hot tub was a great bonus. Owner was really helpful and friendly.
Paul
An amazing place to stay, you couldn't wish for a more relaxing and picturesque location. A lovely cottage with all the facilities and hot tub is a bonus. The owners are really friendly and helpful, will hopefully be returning.
Rachel
This cottage is wonderful. Very well equipped, underfloor heating lovely and warm (we stayed in November) and ideally located for relaxing and recharging. The hot tub is great. This was just what we wanted and we were not disappointed. We would happily stay again.
Eric William
a wonderful place to stay for a quiet relaxing holiday. crows nest has everything for a self catering break and a great hub to visit all that Devon has to offer.
Jeremy
One of the best cottages in the UK we've had the pleasure to stay. Located perfectly for some countryside peace and quiet and a short drive away from lots of great walks in the Exmoor National Park. Wonderful views to the surrounding hillside while relaxing in the hot tub, regardless of the weather as it's covered. The owner was happy to stopRead more and chat when we saw him and even gave us a little history of the farm. I would definitely recommend planning some local walks straight from the cottage, especially a beautiful circular taking in Huntsham and its lake. If you're a runner and like me you enjoy some runs while on hols then be prepared for the toughest first 400m you'll probably ever experience. The climb from the bottom of the hillside the cottage is based begins steep and then gets steeper. My lungs will testify to this :-) Hide

Pauline
The property was very good everything you needed . The location was great, not far from the local village and good walks. Very relaxing, well equipped property. The owners were really good, a pleasure to stay, really enjoyable .
Louisa
Excellent location and the views are amazing. Lovely to be able to look out across the hills whilst relaxing in the hot tub. Property well equipped and very comfortable, although it would be helpful to have a few more mugs and glass tumblers. Wi-Fi a little hit and miss but to be expected given the location of the property.
Rachael

Adrian
It's the perfect away from it all location.
Sharon
The Crows Nest is situated in a lovely area with very pretty views and a good base for visiting different places. Very comfortable and clean property and the kitchen had everything you needed for your stay including spare cupboards to store food if eating in. Hot tub was a added bonus after a day out.
