Cottage was really nice and clean. Perfect in every way and met all our expectations. Kids had a brilliant time too, couldnt ask for anything more.

The hosts were great - available if we needed anything but giving us privacy. They were proactive in making sure we had everything we needed and left us a lovely cream tea welcome hamper and some complementary fresh eggs, all of which were thoroughly enjoyed - thank you. The property itself was spotless and had everything you would need for a home Read moreaway from home. The location was very private with lovely views of the surrounding countryside. It is conveniently situated on the border between Devon and Cornwall so within easy reach of some lovely places to visit. We would thoroughly recommend a stay here. Hide

The property was exactly as described, modern and very clean with plenty of space. Everything you would need for a break away. Host was very helpful, especially when we needed to stay an extra night due to Storm Ciarn. We had a lovely stay at The Swallows Nest. Unfortunately the heating wasnt working and the log burner had been broken by previous guest but as soon as I asked for extra heaters the owner was extremely accommodating and went and got some for us. The heating was then fixed on our third day whilst we were out exploring so didnt disrupt us. The house wRead moreas immaculate and had everything needed for our stay, we even managed to make a full roast dinner for 6. Lots of good quality towels and bedding and beds were comfortable. The cream tea hamper on arrival was much appreciated and delicious and the hot tub was a lovely touch. Thanks for a lovely stay, would highly recommend Hide

Adrenaline Quarry - PL14 5AE

Adrenaline Quarry is the place to head for adults and teenagers and children looking for adrenaline boosting activities. The site boasts the largest and longest Zip wire in the country. Other activities available include Go Karting and the thrilling Coaststeering - Climbing cliffs and jumping in to the sea! All ages and skill levels are catered for and safety is top priority. Zip Wire rides start from £12.50 While Coaststeering costs £30.00.
The Monkey Sanctuary - PL13 1NZ

This attraction is really unique in that you have the opportunity to gain a rare insight into a working sanctuary.  You can see first hand all of the fantastic work carried out as well as seeing the monkeys themselves.  Other popular areas of this attraction include the Bat Cave and Wildlife Room. the Wildlife Gardens and the kids play area.  There is something for everyone at The Monkey Sanctuary and you can also sponsor and donate if you wish.  The cost to adopt a monkey is from just £2 a month.

The Eden Project is a fantastic local attraction in Cornwall which will appeal to families and couples.  From the moment you step through the entrance it's clear that this is no ordinary attraction.  All under one roof you will find a giant rainforest, Horticulture courses, rock climbing, ice skating and an arts cafe.  Not all of these activities are on at one time, they are staggered throughout the year so check out the website to see what's available when you plan to visit.  Autumn at Eden is very popular with events such as daily apple pressing and Time Changing Tales (story telling with an autumn theme).

Springfields Fun Park & Pony Centre offers a day full of action and adventure for all the family come rain or shine. If the weather is good then children can take advantage of the vast open space to run around and play, enjoy pony rides, train rides, trampolines and Go-Karts and explore the nature trails. If the weather is not on your side then the huge play barn is the place to head and as climbing frames, slides, ball pool and rope swings as well as a baby and toddler area.

Open from end March to end October this is a lovely attraction suited to families with kids of all ages.  You don't need to worry about the weather either as this is an all weather attraction with the addition of soft play areas and a ball pool for the little ones.  Some of the highlights include the Bull Pen indoor play area, the Raging Bulls Ride, Pat-aPet and the Mini tractors.  Of course there is also the opportunity to get up close to the farm animals and try some bottle feeding.
