The Olde Chapel School House Reviews

Alex
We had a fantastic time! The cottage was really charming, roomyand had loads of character. The kids couldn’t get enough of the hot tub! The Gaggle of Geese pub nearby served great foodand the big garden kept everyone entertained. Plus, walking across the fields right from the door was a real bonus. We loved it!
Alex
The cottage was charmingand we appreciated the thoughtful touches like the games and the lovely hamper upon arrival. However, the nearby road was quite noisy, which was a bit of a bother. Also, it wasn’t as clean as we’d hopedand no wifi during our stay was a let down. Still, a nice place overall!
Emma
We had a lovely time in Dorset! The place was charmingand the nearby field walk was a real highlight. The garden’s tiny, but the cosy house more than made up for it. A heads-up about parking would’ve been handy, as backing onto the main road isn’t ideal, but overall, a lovely stay. Would come back!
Emma
Great place to stay, perfect for exploring Dorset. Loved the hot tub with the view, it’s such a nice spot to unwind and watch birds.
James
We had a fantastic stay! The place was spotless and roomy, with a lovely view of the fields. Kids adored the hot tuband the beds were super comfy.
Emma
Really enjoyed our stay here. The location is nice and peaceful, perfect for relaxing. The place is well appointed, very cleanand the owners are lovely. We felt really welcomed. Would definitely stay again!
Emma
Great location, especially if you’re walking your dog. The hot tub was lovely and really relaxing. The property was very spacious and the conservatory was a nice touch. We had a really good stay!
Alex Carter
The old chapel is truly beautiful and our 12 and 14 year olds absolutely loved the hot tub! The welcome pack was a lovely touch and really appreciated after a long drive. The Internet was a bit patchy at times but wasn’t a huge problem since we were mainly there to explore the area. The only minor issue was that despite the warm weather, the chapel got quite cold first thing in the morning and late at nightand the heating controls are operated from the owner’s adjoining property. Still, overall we had a great stay and would definitely come back!
Emily
The old chapel was a lovely place to stay. Its very rural! Great for long dog walks and a pub near by.. Our weather was very unsettled but no control over it! Hot tub was fab and looking out over the countryside.. Very peaceful setting and plenty of birds to be seen.
James
We really enjoyed the rural setting, it was a lovely spot to check out some local historical sites. It’s close enough to spend a day at the beaches too. The chapel was charming and my wife loved the hot tub. Overall, a great trip!
Emma
This is a lovely cottage, really comfy beds and sofa in the lounge. The jacuzzi was a great bonus, especially after a long day of walking around. It's close to a lot of interesting places, which is handy. The view from the garden is stunning and there's always bird song in the background, which is so peaceful. We really enjoyed our stay!
Emma
Honestly, the building is absolutely beautiful and has such a lovely peaceful vibe. Our little boy (1 year) really enjoyed the space and it's helped him start walking properly, which was great to see. The toys and books were a really kind touch and made things even better. Our old dog loved relaxing in front of the log burner and coming along on all our local family walks. The owners are super friendly and approachable if you need anything, but they also give you plenty of privacy to just enjoy your stay. Definitely recommend!
James

The Chapel is a stunning home, it really welcomed us and felt like a warm hug during our stay. The fields behind the property were ideal for walking our one-year-old jack russelland we all had a great time unwinding in the jacuzzi after a long day exploring Dorset. Our whole family highly recommends it!

What a fantastic and cool lounge and dining area, perfect for the heat wave! The sunlight streaming through the stained glass windows is just sublime. The kitchen is small but wonderfully equipped, with such lovely little welcome touches. It's a brilliant base to explore the attractions in Dorset and Somerset. Plus, there's a local pub within walking distance, which you can reach through fields and a country lane. The owners are super helpful too! Highly recommended.
Susan

You may have seen this amazing attraction on the BBC1 Animal Park programme.  This is actually the first safari park outside of Africa where you can get close to the animals from the comfort of your own car. Some of the highlights include the zebras, the wallabies in wallaby wood and the sea lion escorted cruise to Gorilla Island.  And of course the magnificent lions and tigers are a must see.  This really is an animal experience with a difference and you can save money by booking your tickets online.  This attraction is open until the end of October. Check out their website to see some fantastic video podcasts of the park.
