Thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this historical cottage. The kitchen is very well equipped and a joy to cook in. Beds lovely and comfortable. Hot tub - amazing. We loved tbe seclusion and peace and yet were only a short drive from Aberaeron with its fabulous selection of restaurants. The dogs had a ball !

This property is magical! Nestled between woodlands and a beautiful stream, it was the perfect break and so peaceful. The stream babbling, the birds chirping, the bats squeaking and the trees rustling were the only sounds. Pure rustic charm, it's wonky, it's creaky, it's surrounded by nature and we wouldn't change it for anything! The owners are wonderful, quick to help and make excellent recommendations. If its a getaway off the beaten track youre looking for then this property may suit you. Unfortunately, it didnt suit us. It also could have been a bit cleaner and with a few more home comforts.

Tale of two halves at Cwm Cloccs, beautifully peacefull tranquil setting. All you can hear literally are birds and the babble of the river. We filled the bird feeders and within an hour we had a myriad of species. The downside was the pathetic wifi and the TV, constantly breaking up. It's nice to just sit in front of a TV and chill at the end of thRead moree day. I had a bit of work to do which was impossible. Cottage is dirty and really needs a thorough clean. This is a prefect get away from it all break. The location is just magical. So tranquil. Loved the riverside setting. All you can hear is water and birdsong. Beds are very comfortable. I would move into this cottage tomorrow. My husband loved it. We had the most relaxing holiday we have ever had. We really didnt want to leave.
Anita
Highly recommend. We absolutely loved our stay at the cottage, a truly amazing property. We had some wet and windy weather and loved watching the river level rise and fall accordingly. The wind blew some branches down blocking the drive but the owners replied promptly and sorted it no problem.

A really special holiday cottage in the woods. We loved our stay here and the location was brilliant - in the middle of nowhere but so accessible to the fabulous harbour at Aberaeron and lots of beautiful beaches. The beds were really comfortable, there was everything we needed in the kitchen and hot tub was used everyday by the whole family.
Deborah
Beautiful cottage nestled into valley. Perfect for anyone with EHS , just switch wifi off. Beware that the cottage isn't signed from road so our supermarket order never made it to us. The path to house is steep to drive on and skiddy ,also cows like walk this path. The cottage is beautifully decorated and a delight to see the lovingly restored the wood/stone areas. The driveable path to access the cottage is actually between the two bridges at the bottom of the hill after the house Cwm Felin.
Jo
Lovely quaint old cottage, a perfect place to get away from it all. The stream was perfect for the dogs to explore and the hot tub was well used and enjoyed. The directions given really need to be followed as the cottage is tucked away in a beautiful location. We are already thinking of a return trip!

The cottage is in an absolute chocolate box setting pure peace and quiet, the Incline leading to cottage is dangerous our car took a battering, the cottage needs a deep clean but still is very nice, miles from anywhere, due to setting there are bugs galore but nothing like a door shield or window shield to stop them getting in, it was swarming, own er comes and does hot tub every other day and is very discreet in and out, you need to take footwear to wear around cottage not barefoot outside luvly
Paul
Great cottage, made very welcome, nice quiet location,we all enjoyed the holiday and will be booking to return soon
David
Fabulous hidden treasure. Authentic cottage with everything you need for a great relaxing holiday. Wa loved the gardens and river as did our dogs. The hot tub was also suberb. Tam and Dave were on hand with local knowledge and cottage history. Many Thanks, Dave & Amanda

If you need a place to totally rewind and relax away from the hustle and bustle this is the place. Lovely setting. Rustic and charming.
Lisa
This is lovely cottage , tucked away from anything. This cottage would not suit anyone with toddlers Beware whilst there is is plenty of parking , several times during our stay cows came down from the fields and licked and scratched the cars the track down to the cottage is very bumpy and at times muddy
Paul
This beautiful cottage when first seen has the wow factor with its history steeped atmosphere . Set in a remote hollow surrounded by woods and pasture with no other sounds other than the river running by and birdsong. A wonderful history steeped sanctuary.
Adam
Fantastic hidden gem the four of us and three dogs loved every minute and will definitely be going back again
Bridget
If you need to get away & recharge this is the cottage & destination you need. Sat on the bench watching & listening to the river surrounded by the smell of wild garlic, listening to birdsong BLISS! Hubby unwound in the hot tub, kids & dogs loved exploring. Aberaeron is cute, pretty with independent shops & a gorgeous path along the front with rock s for playing on. The Hive is a great place to eat, dogs are welcome in the garden. Really enjoyed our stay.
Bee
Remote cottage in true wales. Just 20minutes from the beach where Dylan Thomas once lived and a lovely seaside town. A peaceful place that wouldnt even know was there. Hot tub an absolute treat and all gf a great time.
Rose
The cottage is magical in history, location, presentation & atmosphere. We really enjoyed our stay, relaxing in the cwtch & living room, taking a wild swim in the river (caution advised, naturally) & tucking up in beds that we all agreed have the BEST duvets! We visited Aberaeron, which has amazing foodie offerings, & did Llanerchaeron parkrun just 10 minutes down the road. We felt like we were in our own corner of the world, possibly inside a faery-ring. It was a joy to stay at Cwm Cloccs!
Michelle
This cottage is rustic, remote, tranquil and full of character A place to light the fire and unwind completely from the humdrum of life! We are already missing our morning visits from the sheep in the garden and cows down the drive, along with the river soundtrack 24/7. We echo all the other reviews on here - great bed, superb hot tub, perfect surr oundings and extremely dog friendly. Beware of low doorways if you are tall. A wonderful weeks stay. Thanks Tam & Dave x
Diane

Really enjoyed staying at the cottage, greeted by the owners on arrival who were really friendly and helpful, i would highly recommend for a quiet country get away that's dog friendly and has a great hot tub.
Carole
As soon as you see the cottage through the trees and decent to the bottom you know youre in a magical place. Everything about this cottage had my heart. The trees all around hug you, the steam lulls you and the quiet stills you. For a full week I managed to breath, relax and quiet my mind. Thank you Tam and Dave xx
Helen
Adorable cottage, definitely a get away from it all location. Dog friendly. The only things that could improve it would be a downstairs toilet & an electric shower.
Peter
If you need an holiday to get away from the hassle of life this is the place lovely old cottage in the woods beside a babbling brook no neighbours great hot tub in the garden yet still only a short drive to Abarearon you will come home refreshed and ready for the fray
Nic
Had an amazing time, driving down the hill and seeing the cottage in the woods was a real treat. Brilliant relaxing holiday, the dogs enjoyed playing in the stream. Lovely comfy cottage in a fantastic location!
Orla
Great location, lovely cottage and great amount of space. We had a fab time.
Louise
The cottages was in a lovely location and great for dogs and children. The cottage could have been a lot cleaner and needs a deep clean along with the hot tub. The showering facilities need updating as cant wash hair and if been to the beech it wasnt great. Used a jug over the bath: Beds were comfortable and quiet location was really nice. The outd oor conservatory was lovely with beautiful lights however it needs more seating and when it rain it leaked. Overall we had a nice time.
Anna
Such a beautiful location set on its own in a wooded area with a stream running through the front garden ,a little bridge over it takes you to the stone cottage, the whole place was magical like Snow Whites cottage, spacious inside with a lovely outdoor conservatory next to the hot tub ,we abouslutly loved it and our hosts were very welcoming, we w ill be back for sure !
Susan
We have been to several holiday cottages but Cwm Cloccs comes right at the top of our list. We did not want to leave! It is an amazing place for both dogs and humans. Being able to take three dogs is quite unusual and great for us as we have difficulties in finding such a place. The owners are extremely friendly and helpful. We will definitely be r eturning in the future. Sue, Charles and Woofers from Somerset.
Justine
What a stunning property down dirt lane with a beautiful little river running along next to it. All we hear was bird song. We had the most relaxing long weekend, spent a few hours in the hot tub. Lit the fire and played scrabble. The beds are very comfortable and it was perfect.
Jeremy
We returned to this property for a second time as we had to leave early on our first visit, so glad we did. Its a fantastic opportunity to get away from the madding crowd yet still have good access to beaches, walks and places of interest. After a busy day exploring the area you go back to the cottage put your feet up and forget the world. Feeling tired then jump in the hot tub and relax with a cold drink. The kitchen is well equipped so very easy to cater for yourselves, excellent for dogs
Alison
A real hidden gem! We will be back!
Sue
Wonderful setting, very isolated & peaceful. Lots of beautiful original features & the super king size bed is really comfy.
Sarah
So much more than just a place to stay, hard to explain but right from that first glimpse of the cottage through the trees you feel like its giving you a big hug. We loved every minute spent there, its a great place to just chill out and enjoy the nature and wildlife that surrounds it. If you can drag yourself away Aberaeron is only a 10 minute dri ve away and has some great places to eat (Harbourmaster was my fav) Cei Bach Beach is great for dogs and you can walk along it to New Quay
