The Barn Reviews

Barbara
Beautiful property. Would benefit with another fridge or bottle fridge. Some larger bowls for soup etc. One or two maintenance problems but were sorted immediately. Altogether a brilliant time was had by all. Hot tub was amazing with fantastic views
Rachel
We had a lovely stay at The Barn, which was an absolutely lovely setting. It was a very comfortable stay in an extremely spacious building, but we found it a bit odd that the hot tub was drained without telling us on the morning of our departure two members of our party had intended to take a half hour dip after breakfast despite a gentleman saying hello to one of the girls, presumably whilst taking the plug out she only realised what he was doing after he'd left. It was also strange not to have any hooks for hanging up dressing gowns and towels under the hot tub shelter as it was very wet our first night and we had nowhere to put anything whilst in the tub. A lock on the downstairs toilet in the hall would also be helpful with so many people in the house as we had a few incidents of people accidentally opening the door without realising people were in there! We could also have done with a back up loo roll in each room rather than just 1, which we've never seen anywhere else when we've gone away for the weekend as theres usually at least a backup in each room. If we'd known we'd have taken extra as 8 ladies get few quite a bit! None of these things affected the enjoyment of our stay, we just mention them for future improvements especially the thing about draining the hot tub without telling asking anyone as we can see this has been mentioned several times in the reviews.

Absolutely superb barn conversion. Very spacious, very clean. Wonderful hosts. Lovely hot tub. Highly recommend.
Excellent Holiday home from home. Very spacious accommodation, we were a family of 9 spotlessly clean, great location, very peaceful with fantastic views. Can highly recommend this holiday home..

Change the internet to EE as its faster, should have WiFi outside as well. But thats only for peoples entertainment purposes. But everything else was so good, we all loved it and thank you so much.
The barn was beautifully appointed down a very remote and narrow laneroad. The design of the development of a number of barns has been done very sympathetically to all aspects the natural countryside around it views were beautiful the privacy of all the people in each cottage, and the internal renovation standards which were superb. The Barn was well equipped, beautifully laid out, comfortable, warm and clean and tidy. Additionally the hot tub was very well located, and very clean. Our only niggle hence 9 stars instead of 10 was that it isnt really walking distance to the nearest hostelry as described on the website. But as we were only here for a couple of nights it wasnt a problem for us. If staying in the area again would definitely use. Highly recommended.
Lovely cottage, very comfortable. Everything you could want for your stay. Just a pity we couldn't get in till 5 o'clock.
Rebecca
What a place. Girlie weekend away, 8 of us, we had a fantastic time. The Barn was everything & more. The views incredible, total relaxation & everything we needed. The house is so big, and has everything you need. The owners were lovely & left you too it. Would highly recommend to everyone. Would love to go back. 3 nights wasnt long enough.
The property was lovely. We struggled with the mattresses in the beds downstairs as they are not comfortable at all. We booked this accommodation for the hottub size & ensuite in each room. I appreciate the hottub probably wouldn't be upto temperature on the 1st night but to get up yesterday morning early 7am to have a dip in the hot tub which we needed after a walk up Snowdon before we left & to find it already empty was really disappointing.
Robina
Amazing place to stay and have a family bonding! !beautiful accomodation and very spacious.
Louise
The property was lovely and clean and spacious with ample parking. The heating had been switched on for when we arrived which was very thoughtful as it was a cold day. The kitchen was well equipped and it was great that all bedrooms had an ensuite and there was always plenty of hot water. The hot tub was a real treat and again the water was a lovely temperature. The only downside was the intermittent and slow WiFi. We would certainly return and would recommend to friends thanks Julia and Lee.
Short and sweet review. Excellent stay here for 10 people 2 1yr olds. Lots of space for us all living room, bedrooms, kitchen and lots of facilities for us all to use bathrooms, kitchen area, hot tub, garden space, parking Couldnt fault our stay at all. Owners were great and on hand to help when we needed them for cots and high chairs etc
Victoria
The Barn exceeded our expectations, we had a wonderful stay and enjoyed the views. The location was perfect for a group of us to get away from it all and relax, we walked to the local shop and enjoyed a gorgeous lunch at the pub ! The Barn is somewhere well return without a doubt.

Roperty is great. We had a wonderful Christmas week, and our toddler loved the baby goats and the chickens. Property is as described, internet access is in our experience a bit BETTER than described on the listing, but doesn't reach to the lounge area. The only points I would make are 1 We couldn't find a pair of scissors or a tea pot in the kitchen at all, and the knives and peelers were very blunt. It didn't impact our enjoyment we just went out and bought our own and if we came again we would bring these from home. 2 In strong winds and rain water can come through some of the doors and windows most notably the front door and the doors in the lounge area. Again, didn't impact our enjoyment of the holiday at all, but had we left any presents or clothes in those areas then it might have. Thanks for a wonderful stay, I expect we will book again.
Lovely property with amazing views. Everything about The Barn was just perfect for 9 friends having a little get together. We all had a gorgeous Sunday roast in the Blue Lion pub which was within walking distance then came back to The Barn to relax in the hot tub. Just so chilled and so relaxing.
Suzanna

Amanda
What can I say, we stayed for my 60th birthday
Olivia
As you know views from this property our absolutely stunning. We were very lucky with the weather and overall enjoyed the stay A few things you can improve be clear in your listing whether or not the hot tub will be available for the whole stay .. we were not given any explanation as to why the hot tub was unavailable on one of the three nights we stayed the written material in the property suggest that WiFi is not available whereas in fact The Barn network seemed ok so that was misleading and meant I stressed unnecessarily before guests pointed out the error the loo seat to the main bathroom was broken the bedding in the room I stayed in double on 1st floor seemed old and scratchy maybe just me.
Diolch pawb for a joyous stay. It was so special to have the family altogether. The property is beautiful. Great having a bathroom each! Thank you.
Beautiful house, lovely owners, Jackie was very friendly and gave us a lovely warm welcome. The hot tub was popular and the views couldn't be better. The house was spotless and comfortable. We enjoyed our stay very much.
Gareth
Everything thing was perfect, apart from the rain for a few days. But the barn is very cozy place. Internet was an issue very slow and sometimes non exsistent. Don't let the Internet issue put you off cause this place is amazing. Clear instructions for the heating system would have been ideal. All that said and done I still rate this place of 10 out 10.
Rosemary
Thank you for a great stay, we'd love to come back. We really appreciated how clean and comfortable everything was. Suggestions a few games in the living room drawers. Also, a slightly earlierlater checkin and checkout time would have been REALLY appreciated. Otherwise a lovely stay.
Eleanor
Hi, us girls had the best weekend. Everyone really enjoyed themselves. The beds were really comfy and there was enough space for us all. The only gripe was we went to get in the hot tub on Sunday night and someone had turned it off so it was cold. We was quite disappointed, however apart from that we had the best weekend so thank you.
Robert
Amazing property, great location and the owners are very friendly and accommodating. 10 out of 10.
