Glan Y Mor Lodge Reviews

Lovely lodge with fire and hot tub. Perfect position for walks along the coastal path and drives to some great walks.
We had a very relaxing stay at Glan Y Mor Lodge. We had a lovely welcome from our host and enjoyed every minute we stayed here. The Lodge is perfectly located to explore the Menai Straits & Snowdonia and we are already planning a return trip in the future.
The cottage is a perfect base for visiting North Wales. It is exactly as described and we had a lovely stay there and would definitely book again. The owners are friendly and helpful and the food at the local pub is amazing.
We had a lovely week and it was a great base for exploring the area. The property has all the amenities we needed and the hot tub was great as well.. The owner was helpful and answered any questions or queries promptly.. we had a fab week.. thank you
Michele
A beautiful lodge with a great hot tub that has clearly been kept very clean. Our kids loved the games pod and so did we to be honest! Everything was spotlessly clean and the kitchen was well stocked with utensils etc. We really enjoyed our stay and loved the location, it was very quiet and the little marina just down the road was very pretty.
Geoffrey
A great lodge in a great location We enjoyed every minute of our stay, the owner could no have been more helpful, the hot tub was wonderful even though the Weather wasnt great,we will be going back again.
This is such a lovely property in a delightful area the space is intimate and welcoming and somehow relaxing and energising at the same time. Highly recommended!
Beverley
The Lodge is lovely. ..well equipped, very comfortable and very well maintained. It is in an excellent spot....peaceful, quiet and a short stroll into the village which has a great pub and a friendly local shop which stocks everything you could need! The location is handy for days out in any direction and the coastal path goes right past the house. We had a lovely week and were extremely lucky with the weather considering how bad it has been recently! The hot tub is perfect for a relaxing end to the day and we would definitely recommend this lodge.
I would agree with the other reviews, this is a very nice property in a quiet location. The property was very clean in fact one of the cleanest we have been to. The raised garden has a view of the Menai Strait and, in April, was the best place to sit for the afternoon sun. We had a poor phone signal on O2 but could make calls on WiFi. If you are into golf bring some bats with you and look for Tyddyn Mawr golf course. 9 holes of very informal golf mostly par 3s over 200 yards. Only a few miles away. All in all a very pleasant holiday with lots of walking and chilled out evenings in the hot tub. The owner responded quickly to our couple of messages and came across as very pleasant and helpful. Thanks for the welcome pack. Would highly recommend.
Lovely week away definitely what we needed, the hot tub every evening was perfect after days spent exploring. The property was spotless and probably the most well equipped place we have stayed, the owners had thought of everything. Private parking outside which can only be entered via the electric gates, the only people passing where out walking the coastal path. I would definitely recommend.
Michelle
Cosy home with great amenities, wonderful location for a peaceful break and autumn walks. Local cafe Swellies serve delicious breakfasts
Joanne
We had a wonderful half term week with our two boys at Glan Y Mor Lodge. The accommodation was so warm and comfortable, spacious, beautifully furnished and very wellequipped. The boys loved the table football hut and the hot tub was a treat for us all at the end of each day! Grace was very welcoming and on hand if we had needed anything. The location was ideal just a short walk into Y Felinheli and a short drive to Anglesey where we spent much of our time. Highly recommend.
What a gem of a place this is, just spent a week there and it was bliss, set in quiet surroundings but within easy access to North Wales and Anglesey, facilities were excellent and the host has thought of everything you need to make your stay as comfortable as possible. There are pleasant walks from right outside your door and lovely cafe's and pubs to eat at near by. Definitely will want to return again as soon as possible.
We all loved the property very well presented and deco etc was spot on, the tiles are suberb love them. Nice quiet stay, loved the hot tub, La Marina a short walk away as is the chippy.... loverly stay thank you...
Georgina
Beautiful well equipped lodge, with lovely grounds. Plenty of outdoor seating, we really enjoyed the table football and of course the fantastic hot tub. Walks straight from the door and louds to do in local area. Grace was a great host, nothing too much trouble.
We loved our stay at Glan Y Mor Lodge. The description was accurate, the openess of the grounds being mentioned is very fair, not suitable for small children or dogs. The lodge itself had almost everything you needed. The kitchen was VERY well equipped, the only things we felt was missing was a bottle stop for the complimentary Prosecco on arrival thank you. In terms of response from the owner, Grace responded straight away and took action quickly. On arrival i found we only had 1 towel each, so I requested another for my hair, Grace brought 3. Also our log was missing, Grace brought that too. What I'd like to suggest for future guests are spare pillows in the bedrooms and blankets in the living room as it got a bit chilly in the evenings but wasnt worth lighting the fire. Y Felinheli was a delightful harbour town with a lovely village feel. We ate at both La Marina and the Inn and the food and service was really good. There's loads of stuff to do within an hours drive and closer of the lodge. Thank you Grace for a lovely stay.
We had a lovely week at Glan y Mor Lodge. The cottage is ideally placed as a base for exploring this part of North Wales and Anglesey and is well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable and pleasant stay. A small query regarding operating the TV was very promptly sorted by Grace, the owner, who was most helpful. Her text message on the day of arrival to check everything was ok was also much appreciated. Thank you.
Judith
Perfect lodge, equipped with everything you could need, property owner brilliant, efficient, friendly and helpful. Super location.
Lovely clean property with everything you could ever want. Brilliant hot tub to soak in after a day sightseeing. Well situated for Snowdonia etc. Thank you Grace for the goodies. Would thoroughly recommend spending time here.
Lovely cottage , could be improved with firmer mattress. Also lovely outside space but no comfortable seating to make the most of it. Property was listed as having underfloor heating but this was never on and the cottage was quite cold. Had to override the central heating a number of times.
An enjoyable stay in a warm, clean and comfortable cottage. The hot tub was amazing.
Very cosy & clean lodge . Bed comfy, shower lovely & everything you need for some time out. We had a restful week & would definitely return.....
Pamela

This is a fantastic cottage the Coast Path is literally on your doorstep. Superb location to explore north Snowdonia. The property was clean, warm and modern, with decor to suit our minimal taste. We slept really well. The owner was available and happy to provide additional bedding. Our only small negative would be that the wifi was unpredictable.
Michael
Had a fab time a looooved your lodge. The fact that the Hot tub was undercover was important for us as you can continue to enjoy the outside all seasons. Great location also to many of the areas tourist spots, Barmouth, Conwy, Beaumaris etc. Would certainly recommend to others as we had a great time, and thanks to a caring and considerate host, for getting the essentials right
