Beacons View Farm Cottages Reviews

Mary
Everything was well thought out for families with plenty of entertainment for everyone. Dogs were well catered for too - excellent walks through the woods. On the first evening the owner, arrived and gave us a tray of top-quality bread from a local bakery. In all, we had a wonderful weekend in a beautiful location. Thank you
Jackie
We had a great time again and have already booked for next year.
Barry
Fantastic views, the property and the owners.
Heidi
Fabulous holiday - the group of three cottages works perfectly well for various family groups. The games barn was an absolute hit and we spent many hours playing table tennis, pool & darts etc. and the hot tubs were just lovely with the most amazing views you could imagine. The purpose of our holiday was to spend time together as not everyone livesRead more close and so we really didnt leave except for walks, hikes and shopping trips to top up our food and drink! - theres so much to entertain you that it really isnt necessary! Would 100% recommend, and Menna & John are incredibly helpful. Hide
Christopher
A fantastic place if youre looking for a secluded location set in amazing scenery - perfect for a large family gathering
Yvonne
An excellent place we used all 3 cottages for our group of 17. The facilities were outstanding! It is not near other properties so being a bit loud wasnt an issue. The shopping delivery I organised in advance was spot on with no issues. The. Welcome pack of local bread from bakery was just exceptional! The hosts greeted us when we arrived andRead more left and helped with any questions throughout! I would definitely recommend and return! Hide

We highly recommend this property for big groups, gorgeous properties, fun hot tubs and games room + enough space for you all to gather in the main cottage to celebrate an occasion!
David
We absolutely loved our stay. The location is idyllic with views over the rolling hills. The owners were lovely and attentive and we massively appreciated the selection of fresh breads that were left for us. The accommodation is such a high quality and everyone was impressed. The hot tubs were well utlised and a fantastic feature. There is plentyRead more of space across the seperate buildings making it an ideal location for larger/extended families or groups of friends. Plenty of our group mentioned how they'd be very keen to return at some stage. Hide

The place was an ideal holiday home, all our needs were catered for there and we did not want for anything there. It felt like a real luxury to stay here.
Colin
All cottages are well presented and equipped, location is peaceful with beautiful views. The two hot tubes a lovely addition, games room ideal for them wet days. cottages were spacious and came into there own for us due to the weather not being kind. A massive thank you to John and his tractor for interesting my youngest grandchildren.
Hilary

We had a fantastic Christmas week in the cottages despite a terrible storm in the middle! The owners are lovely & we're very responsive & helpful in the lead up to our stay & during our time there. All 3 cottages were an excellent standard, warm, comfortable & beautiful with everything we needed to host a big family Christmas for babies through tRead moreo great grand parents. The two hot tubs were of course a bonus & we even managed some local walks. We had dogs in every property & they enjoyed the real fire & safe outdoor space around the properties. Finally let's not forget the views & one last thank you to John & Menna Hide

We had a fantastic time! views for days. There was everything you could possibly need in the kitchen and the rooms were very comfortable
Anna
We booked these cottages as a group of 11 friends. We all agreed that they were comfortable and well equipped in an outstandingly beautiful location. The hot tubs were a real plus and were used by most of us by turns. The cottage with the largest living are was great for us all to congregate, eat together, play music and games and chat. Although weRead more paid more for these cottages per person than we usually would we felt that it had been money well spent and we had a wonderful time together over the weekend, including Oscar the dog. This place is simply incredible! The value for what you get is just immense. Everything about the place is wonderful - the views, the facilities, the spaces.. I can't wait to get back there. It really is something more than special!
Teresa
We had a fantastic time. Our whole family was able to come including a very new baby. Great to have the cottages separate but close and safe area around for the children to play together. Lovely space to congregate for meals in the big house. But also good to be able to retreat to the peace and quiet of a separate cottage. We made lots of good memoRead moreries that we'll treasure. Hot tubs were great, and games room fun. Only negative was some of the equipment in the games room had been broken by some previous visitors. Owner said he might put a returnable deposit on this equipment, which sounded a good idea. Thank you so much John and Menna for a wonderful week. Hide
Jackie
It has beautiful views and plenty to do in the area. The hot tubs and games room were great on wet days. We will be booking again for next year.
Debbie
This property exceeded all of my expectations. The views are stunning and the property is so secluded , couldnt see another house for miles. Very safe for children and dogs to play outside. The property is beautiful and looked after well. The hosts are lovely and we felt at home here. I would highly recommend.
Linda
Ideal for our family weekend (9 adults/9 children). Split over 3cottages with the largest suitable for us to prepare and eat our meals together. Games room gave extra facility and space for indoor play when raining. Exceeded our expectations, would use again.
William
Fantastic property, lovely location, great and constant communication so i never had to chase to find out more details. Everything went very smoothly and we would definitely stay again. Owners very friendly and welcoming.
Carol
Lovely property and location with amazing panoramic views. Shame the games room was not too good but a new one is being constructed and the excellent weather meant it wasnt a problem during our stay.
Anesh
Brilliant property, amazing location, super friendly owners
Richard
In general we found the cottages to be set in a beautiful location (as described on the website). However the games room is in a very sorry state and hasnt been looked after. All sports equipment inside were damaged or incomplete. Maybe this is due to the owners attention being focused on the new games room being built. The outdoor play ground had Read morebeen removed and relocated away from use. This might have been because it was damaged, or deemed dangerous. I strongly believe these point should have been brought to my attention prior to our arrival. The outdoor cigarette bins were over flowing and hadnt been empty for sometime. As a family of non-smokers this left an unpleasant smell around them. The properties were found in a good state but in need of a good dusting and some TLC. The owners were extremely helpful and friendly even tended to the unpleasant job of clearing a blockage, caused by previous holiday makers, to the toilet system. However the warmth of the owners, coupled with the beauty of the location outweigh all negative points. Would love to return in the not so distant future. Hide
Chloe
We had a lovely time, the properties were of a very high standard with excellent amenities. The booking process was smooth and communication from Best of Wales and the owner was great.
Clare
We had a fantastic stay its a beautiful place well equipped and would definitely return only thing was lots of flies in bedrooms and cobwebs but an amazing place
Michelle
This was such a beautiful place, the cottages were just stunning and the views, the room we all had was amazing. Pictures dont do this place justice at all!! We came away for my husband 40th birthday but will definitely be returning next year for our annual Xmas get together. It had everything we needed. Just bring your own food and drinks and you Read moredont need anything else. The owners brought us more logs to put on the fire which was really nice too. Such a lovely place to stay. Out of the way from everybody very private and lots of space to relax. Thank you for such a lovely experience ???? Hide
