Alde Lodge Reviews

It was a great short holiday for our family. We had a quiet New Year celebration in front of fireplace. The cottage has everything what you need for a comfortable stay. A big thank you to a hosts.
Victoria
The lodge has a lovely airy and luxurious feel about it and was walking distance to the Haywain and other lovely walks and cafes. It was clean and tidy. I would have preferred a firmer mattress on the double bed and ideally a king size.
Rose
As a family of four we had a brilliant time and would definitely come again - thank you!
Mark
We all had a lovely time relaxing and enjoying the hot tub in the evenings Nice location with pleasant walks plus made use of the river stour
Melanie
What a place to stay! Accommodation was spotless, so easy to spend time in!The bi-fold doors were invaluable on sunny days, giving even more space. The beds were comfy, plenty of towels provided, kitchen was well equipped and the hot tub was the icing on the cake, we had a good family chat at night whilst soaking! The area is stunning, Constable's Haywain was painted a quick 15min walk down the fields, and there were miles of beautiful coastline to explore. We also had a fab trip to Sutton Hoo!
George
lovely cottage, nice location with shops and pub nearby.
Alice
Lovely appointed cottage, only downside was how hot it was! The doors open but theres no separate window to open, and so it got very stuffy when the sun was out. We would have had the doors open but were worried about the dog running off. Also once we opened the window in the double room we had a real hard time trying to close it. Other than that w e had a lovely stay and enjoyed the cottage!
Wayne
Fantastic facilities and a nice location. Lovely pub within walking distance along with a national trust site and cafe.
Hayley
Had the most relaxing weekend at Alde Lodge. It is very comfortable and well equipped, little touches like games for kids (not that we had ours with us) and the lovely coffee machine. A bottle of wine and biscuits and pint of milk waiting for us. Hot tub ready to jump in. The area is so peaceful and pretty with lovely pubs for lunch. I would 100% r eturn here, thoroughly enjoyed it. Comfy bed too, which you don't often get. Thanks so much!
Michaela
I would highly recommend this lodge to anyone looking for some peace and quiet. It is absolutely perfect, pristine condition, and every little detail has been considered. The hosts are extremely helpful. The property is in a beautiful location, stunning walks from your door. It's secluded enough but you're not massively far away from shops and pubs . The locals are really friendly, which is one thing we were a bit worried about. And the hot tub and wood burner are just cherries on top! 100/10.
Rachel
