We had a fantastic week as a family in Kite Cottage. The cottage was the perfect size - big enough for us to have space to relax, but not too big so that it still felt like a cottage. The area was idyllic, quite remote but not too far to shops etc when needed. The beds were comfortable, and the hot tub was a real treat for us to enjoy each evening.Read more The tennis court was an added bonus as well and was in good condition. Overall, I was very pleased we booked this holiday and would recommend. Hide

Great location in a beautiful setting. Sarah and her husband were so welcoming, helpful and informative. It was a lovely surprise to have homemade lemon drizzle cake, fresh milk, tea, coffee and all the bits and bobs you need for a self catering break. As well as fleshly cut flowers from thier meadow. We three ladies loved the privacy, the quietnes s, the hot tub, the lovely walk round the lake and meadow. Great location to visit Lincoln and the coast. The other accommodation looks beautiful too.

It's a great place to stay, as soon as you drive through the gates and up the gravel driveway everything looks lovely. The accommodation is great, really spacious but cosy too. Our little one loved the giant bath and the eldest was in the hot tub every day. It's got everything you need for a long weekend (or longer) in the countryside.

Rushmoor Country Park - GU10 1ET
about 13 Miles
Located in Louth in Lincolnshire this is an ideal attraction when you want to get out in the fresh air and explore. There are many animals to see including ponies and piglets which the little ones love.  There are also some amazing birds from hawks and falcons to owls.  Most aspects of this attraction are included in the admission cost and as well as wandering around you get to hold and feed the animals too.  A real highlight are the micro pigs which are just like real pigs but in miniature.  Fully grown they are around the size of a spaniel!  If you get hungry then you can take your own picnic to the picnic areas or head for the tea room selling delicious food and children's meals too.
Pleasure Island - DN35 0PL
about 18 Miles
Wow this is an amazing family theme park and you will probably need the full day to experience it all.  From thrilling rides to family shows, kids of all ages are catered for.  Some of the most popular rides include the Obliterator and The Pendulus, not forgetting the Hypoblaster.   Family shows are entertaining such as the African Acrobat Show which is back by popular demand.  Entrance tickets are good value and if you book online you will receive a discount. To save even more money if you live locally or are visiting the area for a few weeks you could buy a season ticket for around £50 which will allow you entry for the whole season.
The Jungle Zoo - NR31 9EY
about 18 Miles
Centred around a Tropical House in an amazing jungle like setting this is a really unique attraction that will appeal to families.  In the Cleethorpes area of Lincolnshire it's easy to get to and offers a fun yet educational experience.  Referred to as the number one attraction in the area highlights include capuchin monkeys, meerkats, ring tailed lemur and for the children African pygmy goats.  The tropical house features Red Eared and other Terrapins from North America and goldfish amongst other things.  We think The Jungle Zoo represents excellent value for money too.  We recommend a whole day to explore this attraction and ensure you get to see all of the animals resident there.
Natureland Seal Sanctuary - PE25 1DB
about 27 Miles
Awarded the Lincolnshire Family Attraction of the Year award in recent years this fun day out is recommended. You can see seals and penguins, as well as other animals in the popular pets corner.  Feeding time for the seals and penguins is the real highlight of the day. Entertainment, education and conservation are the main aims of this attraction. Natureland's work with abandoned baby seals has become known worldwide and it's carefully researched rearing and treatment program is now used by many other rescue centres.
Normanby Hall Country Park - DN15 9HU
about 27 Miles
Normanby Hall Country Park has a fantastically tranquil location Set in the 300 acres of Normanby Hall estate offering a relaxing choice for a family day out. The stunning grounds are abundant with wildlife as well as beautiful flora and fauna and there is no better place for a summer picnic. There is also plenty of open space for children to run around. The Deer park is sure to be a big hit with the children with herds of fallow deer to spot.
The Deep - HU1 4DP
