We have stayed at tattershall lakes for the passed 6 years and stayed in quite a few lodges on site. This has hands down been our favourite the location, the views & the lodge its self was just beautiful. We are just sorting out our dates so we can come back again we have loved everything about this lodge. We all cant wait to come back thank you to Rick he was there if needed to help & advised us of some amazing walks. We shall see you very soon. I give this a 1010 & I highly recommend booking this lodge you will not be disappointed.
A beautiful property in an idyllic setting next to the lake quiet peaceful and ... A beautiful property in an idyllic setting next to the lake quiet peaceful and very relaxing had everything needed to relax and unwind plus entertainment on site if wanted we will look to go back again
We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Osprey Lodge. It was like home from home and everything was perfect. Weve never slept better as the bed was the comfiest weve ever been in. It is in a quiet location which is lovely and peaceful, we enjoyed watching the jet skis on the lake whilst in the hot tub and my partner is a huge fan of RAF planes so this was spot on for us as the view we got of the planes flying was phenomenal. Everything was very clean we loved absolutely everything about this place. We didnt want to leave. We will 100 be returning, we cant wait to come again. The communication from Ricky was amazing and I knew I could message him and get a quick response if I needed anything. Thank you so much again. It was the most perfect week.
We loved this beautiful lodge, peaceful setting but so right. Clean and super comfortable. We spent my daughters 21st there, lots of perfect memories made. The owner of this property went above and beyond when we left some treasured presents and house keys behind! He answered all out messages, which there were plenty. Lovely place and we can't wait to go back. Thank you so much
Louise
Stunning property, so happy we booked this one its more out the way of the main complex ones, views are spectacular, loved being near the RAF Base huge jet fan take off several times a day but doesn't last long sadly in my book lake is stunning with fun things to watch sometimes ie jet skis etc but also wonderful wildlife of ducks, geese, swans etc. Outside space is overlooked by trees so you do get bits of tree bits on decking etc but hell it's nature and was nice to have less people over looking you. Owner of lodge was nothing but helpful if we had any questions and very quick to respond on message. Our only negative the break wasn't long enough and would loved to have stayed a week, we deffo will be back.
Joanna
Just come back from a lovely weekend with the family for my daughters birthday. . perfect location on the lake.. nice and private.. very good sized decking with ample seating.. the jetty was my favourite to sit and watch the sunset.. Very well equiped kitchen.. all beds were comfy and the lodge was nice and clean we will definately be coming again.. Thankyou.. for having us!
Amazing property on a fantastic lakeside location. Loved every minute of our weekend break
Lovely cabin very clean very big decking area ideal for jet spotting
Loved our stay! Will 100 be back, lots to do, beautiful place and homely
This is a fabulous property in a perfect location. Open plan living area is very spacious and the two sofas are very comfortable. It didnt take long to feel relaxed in the lodge. The decking area outside is great place to have a drink and watch the lake birds floating by. Would definitely recommend David
Shelley
Lovely stay, no issues at alla beautiful place, well definitely be back!
We had the most lovely stay at Osprey Lodge, fantastic location with amazing views. .! The lodge had everything.. the owners had thought of everything. Literally couldnt fault a thing.. Will absolutely return and would highly highly recommend to everyone!
Really happy with the lodge and the location. The sun rises and calmness of the lake was beautiful. Even on the wet days the outdoor overhang meant you could be outside and stay dry. The teenagers missed having WiFi and they found very few tv channels. The adults had everything they needed. The decked out area was great and the dog was safe at all times. the kitchen would benefit from a cheese grater and scissors We will definitely book again without question.
Absolutely beautiful. Has everything you need and the comfiest beds. Plenty of space for everyone and our American bulldog loved it. Perfect for a big family, perfect location and a perfect place to stay. Couldnt have asked for more. Will definitely be back
Elizabeth
Absolutely amazing please to stay! So homely and welcoming. And had everything we needed and more for our trip! Had a few issues but they were quickly sorted by the owner. Fab communication between the owner and ourselves. But Sykes cottages didnt tell us it was only 1 dog when we requested 2 and were told it was fine as long as they are well behaved on two different occasions which didnt go down well with the owner. But after explaining it was fine with him. We wont be booking again with sykes cottages due to this as it ruined our night. Not the owners fault but sykes. Never the less tattershall the a great place to go and this lodge was a wicked stay so thanks.
Location of the lodge is fantastic, although directions to the lodge need putting onto the listing somewhere. The lodge is fantastic, large, spacious with plenty of room for everyone. All the beds are very very comfy. Very noisy at times from the planes taking off and landing but this didnt bother us at all as we loved watching them. We have stayed in 3 or 4 other lodges at Tattershall Lakes but this one has definitely been the best one and will looking at booking again for next year.
The inside of the lodge is immaculate and stylish. The outside area is a little different where the whole outside is covered in Cobwebs and pigeon mess. A little bit of attention to the outside with cleaning of Windows, patio cleaned and cobwebs and pigeon mess removed would make this property a dream and worth every penny. The hot tub was a lovely addition although it did have issues which the owner dealt with straight away with no fuss. Once again the cover to the tub is covered in pigeon mess. The table and chairs and recliner were lovely but the same issue with these too. I understand that the property is under trees but for such a fantastic lodge and location it requires to be maintained outside constantly to be classed as perfect. Don't be put off though it still was an excellent choice for a 6 family accommodation. One idea for new arrivals would be a local map of how to find the lodge. A little hand written map would work wonders as we arrived after dark and had no idea on where we were going once on site. No one to help but thankfully the owner happily took our call and directed us. Sue
We could not fault the size of the property and the landlord was fantastic in providing a travel cot and two high chairs for us but the whole place needed a good clean especially the outside. The whole of the outside was covered in cobwebs and needed a good sweep which is not good when you have two small children crawling around! Although the lodge was advertised as the hot tub being cleaned between bookings there was a tide mark which belied this! We had to pay 120 for an entertainment pass but were unable to use the facilities as everything was booked up, we were not told that we needed to book everything in advance.
Samantha
We spent 2 nights in this wonderful Lodge. There were 6 of us, 4 adults, 1 teenager and a child and we all had a lovely time. We had everything we needed from pots, pans, board games, to comfy beds with fresh linen. There was ample fridge & freezer space for our needs. We didn't buy before so went up the local CoOp in Tattershall to stock up. The hot tub is in a great position and the jetty had a lovely chair which we could sit, relax and watch the world or jet ski's go by. Our host was great and contacted us before our trip to make sure we had everything. The host has to organise the leisure passes at an additional cost which we paid for but tbh we didn't really use these as we walked to the pub in the local village next to Tattershall Castle public footpath along the river behind the lodge. All in all we had a lovely weekend and would definitely recommend Osprey Lodge.
This is a beautiful lodge and well positioned in comparison to others on the site and has stunning views. There is plenty of entertainment on site and is very well catered for children. You are near a RAF base which needs to be made aware of due to the noise of the test flights in the evenings. Will definitely stay here again well worth every penny.
Had a fantastic break at the lodge, which has everything you could need. The beds are really comfy and the jet bath was an added bonus! We had a little issue with heat in the hot tub but it was sorted immediately, no problem. The position of the lodge was perfect for us and I would love to return. We didn't purchase the entertainment passes as at 95 for access to a tiny pool and bar seemed excessive. However in peak season when everything is open it looks much better value. There is air craft noise from the RAF base but this was minimal, 3 jets flew over during the 4 days lasting about 30 seconds to a minute each. Highly recommended.
We didn't use the site facilities as it was going to cost 120 for guest passes. This figure could not be reduced even if only some guests wanted it, and it was definitely not value for money in our case. However, that had nothing to do with the property we stayed in, which was excellent, nor did it have anything to do with our host, the owner of the property, who was also excellent, and spent some time in the first couple of days ensuring that everything was to our satisfaction. The property itself was perfect for us, ticked all the boxes, was spacious, well equipped, comfortable, and the bed was one of the most comfortable beds we have ever slept in, the depth of the mattress was wow! deep! The decking outside was again spacious with ample seating to accommodate eight guests. The hot tub was an absolute necessity for our party, no hot tub would have been a deal breaker, and it certainly did not disappoint! Although we were situated on the Jet Ski Lake, it was very serene, even with an unprecedented influx of noisy geese on an almost daily basis. We were visited by geese, ducks, swans, a squirrel, and a plethora of other birds, which delighted us all, especially with their close up visits right up to the lodge's private jetty, particularly on Christmas morning. Activity from RAF Coningsby was nonexistent because of the time of year, Christmas, though we wouldn't have minded seeing their jets go over, and loved that the locality had places of interest and some history. We had only one or two jetskiers out on the lake on most days, including a fabulous Santa jet skier, who made the kids in a lodge a few doors down squeal with delight, and was altogether joyful! We dined out, offsite, on Christmas Eve and Boxing Day at the Lea Gate Inn, and we got a beautiful takeaway Christmas Day three course meal from Shakesby's in Horncastle, who were fully booked for Christmas Day, but offered us the same meal to take away and enjoy at home, and which was worth every mile of the approx. 22 mile round trip. We also visited a lovely farm shop at Coningsby, and drove out to Boston about 15 miles to do our last minute Christmas food shopping, though there are a few local grocery shops nearby to pick up the odd bits, including one onsite. The Lincolnshire landscape is flat and not my usual choice of venue, being an exmountain leader, but the lakeside location of this fabulous lodge did not in any way disappoint. Our only real criticism is for the owners of the Tattershall Lakes site, not the owner of the Lodge itself, who might like to repair the road on which this lovely holiday home sits, which is a good road right up to the last three lodges, but which then turns into a potholed mess which doesn't do their site justice. Nevertheless, there was ample parking for our three vehicles, which was great, as my family members had different dates on which they could arrive, so could not share vehicles. All in all, this was a great venue, and we loved every minute of our stay here.

Rushmoor Country Park - GU10 1ET
about 21 Miles
Located in Louth in Lincolnshire this is an ideal attraction when you want to get out in the fresh air and explore. There are many animals to see including ponies and piglets which the little ones love.  There are also some amazing birds from hawks and falcons to owls.  Most aspects of this attraction are included in the admission cost and as well as wandering around you get to hold and feed the animals too.  A real highlight are the micro pigs which are just like real pigs but in miniature.  Fully grown they are around the size of a spaniel!  If you get hungry then you can take your own picnic to the picnic areas or head for the tea room selling delicious food and children's meals too.
Natureland Seal Sanctuary - PE25 1DB
about 22 Miles
Awarded the Lincolnshire Family Attraction of the Year award in recent years this fun day out is recommended. You can see seals and penguins, as well as other animals in the popular pets corner.  Feeding time for the seals and penguins is the real highlight of the day. Entertainment, education and conservation are the main aims of this attraction. Natureland's work with abandoned baby seals has become known worldwide and it's carefully researched rearing and treatment program is now used by many other rescue centres.
