Pantile Barn Reviews

Emma
Absolute gem of a place!!! We celebrated my husbands 60th birthday with family. It was very suitable for all ages with snooker table, hot tub, books, games, children's rocking horse and play area. The upstairs bedroom is suitable for 2 young children. We had 4 super kingsize rooms all with ensuite. Thoroughly enjoyed cooking family food on the AGA,Read more BBQ and then relaxing by an open fire. The snooker table had plenty of use by us all, and became the evening entertainment room with music. 5 Stars Hide

Pamela
Spacious property ideal for a relaxing group holiday. I especially enjoyed using the AGA and hot tub. The snooker table, games and books enjoyed by all. The fifth bedroom is a loft room with narrow stairs - suited to older children, teens or agile adults. We enjoyed our family break together in the beautiful Norfolk countryside and cosy surroundingRead mores. Hide

A spacious, warm converted barn with some wonderful furnishings. Ideal for a getaway in the middle of nowhere to catch up with friends or family. Helpful owners on hand.

We had an amazing time. The location was peaceful and idyllic, warm and comfortable. We had a family get together celebrating Christmas and was so beautifully decorated for the season. The barn was very big, plenty of room for us, 7 adults, two of which have disabilities.. We enjoyed a dip in the hot tub, which was great. The aga was interesting to cook on but we managed fine and cooked a large Christmas dinner success.fully. Everything was perfect for our break.
George
Excellent place to relax
Debbie
Excellent place to stay we celebrated my husbands 60th with our children and grandchildren. Plenty of room for all the family . The children loved the games room. The owners were very friendly and helpful. Would definitely visit again.the stairs to the upstairs bedroom were too steep for our 4 year old granddaughter
Carol
This barn is lovely and big and perfect for our multigenerational break. Dining table is huge and lots of comfy sofas. Garden is enclosed so safe for dogs. Hot tub was a lovely treat. Location is quite isolated down single track roads but handy for all the main sightseeing spots. There are 2 other B & B barns on the site as well and a horse stable so although the position seems isolated there are others around. We had a lovely time and would recommend.
Stuart
The overall impression of the cottage was very good. However, the fifth bedroom upstairs is only accessed by a vertical ladder which in our view was unsafe. The headspace in the bedroom is restricted making the bedroom unsuitable for adults. As we intended this bedroom to be used by adults it did not compare favourably with the other bedrooms.
Joyce
Really loved our stay. Everyone thought it was a great house for ten people, two families with two children and grandparents. Hosts were lovely and so helpful when we had a sudden problem and had to rush off to A & E. The beautiful horses living close by were enjoyed by the. children and adults. The enclosed outdoor space with games summer house fo r children and some swings and slide and then the lovely hot tub were loved by all. North Norfolk well worth a visit lots to do.
Ann
A group of eight enjoyed our week at Pantile Barn. The facilities were great all having en-suite facilities meant no queues! We mastered cooking on the Aga. We had a great choice of places to enjoy .It was definitely worth the wait! Our only negative comment was from the readers that the lighting wasnt good.
Christopher
Me and all 7 of my mates had a wicked weekend loved everything about it..
Nicola
Delayed 40th celebrations. Fab secure garden, wonderful hot tub. Lots of space, lovely owners. We had a great stay.. you wont be cold the aga chucks out some heat. Recommend Hunworth bell for food 10 min drive.
Lewis
The barn was a lovely place for our weekend break and Richard was a great host who left us to our privacy, We couldnt ask for anymore. Many thanks .
Stuart
Fantastic barn to stay in for a family event, lots of space and comfortable. Very warm and a lovely kitchen with the Arga. The owners were always available and willing to help with any issues. Great to have own bathroom with bedroom - showers are powerful. Would book again for a family event.
Nicola
A beautiful barn set in countryside away from hustle and bustle we are used to! We were all able to relax and enjoy the comforts within the barn, even the hot tub in this weather. The ensuite facilities in each double room were really useful. The owner Victoria was very helpful and informative and she introduced is to the horses and let us shower t he dirty muddy dogs in the stables. Will definitely recommend staying here and we hope to come back one day.
Jonathan
Excellent facilities with luxurious touches (hot tub, snooker table, piano, AGA). Isolated location but that suited us. Probably due a spruce-up but thats no criticism, we would book again.
Carole
Pantile barn was really lovely and the owners were really lovely and helpful nothing too much trouble from them

Please note that some of these activities and days out are paid and it's always a good idea to book in advance to secure your place where applicable.

Found a special day out near your cottage? Please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too!
Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens - NR21 0LN
about 6 Miles
if you and your family are interested in nature and wildlife then Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens is the perfect place for a day out. This beautiful area of national parkland is home to a huge range of common and rare birds from sparrows to Red Crowned Cranes and also has a red squirrel enclosure - part of a conservation programme and now home to a family of adorable squirrels. Other activities to enjoy at Pensthorpe include pond dipping and Landrover discovery tours. Pensthorpe also played host to BBC'S Springwatch in 2010.
Dinosaur Adventure Park - NR9 5JW
about 8 Miles
This fun family day out has been well planned and we think is certainly worth a visit.  New for 2010 is the PrimEvil at Dinosaur Adventure.  Other fun activities include the Dinosaur Trail, Arachnophobia, the Raptor Races and the adventure play area.  The secret animal garden is also popular.  You can play a role in wildlife conservation and sponsor an animal if you wish.  At the moment if you sign up for their newsletter there is a chance to win a family ticket.
Sheringham Park - NR26 8TL
about 8 Miles
The National Trust Sheringham Park in Norfolk was designed by Humphry Repton and the book of original designs can still be seen. The park has many attractions including a viewing tower and a gazebo with amazing coastal views, wildlife trails which young children will love and an exhibition barn where visitors can learn the history of the park.
Bishops Boats Seal Trips - NR23 1RY
about 9 Miles
This is a really unique attraction running daily seal watching trips from the middle of March right through to the end of October.  The experienced skippers will lead you out on one of the traditional wooden boats where you will have the chance to see both common and grey seals.  If you love animals then this is one attraction not to be missed! They also do some boat trips combined with guides on dry land such as seal watching combined with a visit to Blakeney Point Nature Reserve, owned by the National Trust.  We think this attraction is excellent value for money as they keep their admission prices low.
Bewilderwood - NR12 8JW
about 18 Miles
Bewilderwood is a fun day out for the whole family located in the Wroxham area of Norfolk.  This imaginative adventure park has won awards and we think kids especially will love the characters and the magical tree houses. You can even book your ticket online and beat the queues by visiting their website where you can also view video clips of the park. This place is also the setting for the book 'A Boggle at BeWILDerwood', by local children's author Tom Blofeld.  Parents are not left out either as you're encouraged to take part and play alongside your children.
Melsop Farm Park - NR20 3DT
about 18 Miles
We love this attraction in Scoulton, Norfolk with a great collection of animals.  Children and adults alike have the chance to get hands on with the animals in the special handling areas.  On rainy days there is always the indoor play area for the little ones and when it's time for a bite to eat the cafe on the farm is open all day selling drinks and snacks.  Hot food is available over lunch times.
Banham Zoo - NR16 2HE
about 26 Miles
This award winning wildlife attraction has much to offer both families and couples looking for a fun and educational day out.  You can discover a whole wild world of animals with over 1000 different animals from around the world. You will probably want to try and spend the whole day here so you don's miss out on anything.  Highlights include the amazing animals presentation, the birds of prey display and the feeding talks, all of which take place at set times of the day.  This attraction is fantastic value for money and highly recommended.  Their latest event is the Snow Leopard Club Naming Auction and there has recently been a baby giraffe born at the zoo.
