We had an absolutely wonderful week stay. My partner and I came away for my birthday and it most definitely did not disappoint. Fresh bread and homemade scones on arrival was an added bonus! Beautifully comfortable stay, relaxing hot tub and games provided. We could not fault it and we cant wait to recommend this to familyfriends and return ourselves!

Russell
A fantastic property ideally placed for exploring the Norfolk Coast. We found Spinney's Den to be beautifully maintained to a high standard with good quality fittings and furnishings. The Hot Tub was a superb addition and most welcome after a busy day in the countryside. The hosts Nikki and John were very welcoming and the gifts on arrival were delicious.
Lovely place to stay, feel so welcome on arrival with all the fresh scones and bread. Perfect location with lots of places nearby to visit and amazing hot tub to relax in after a busy day. Dog also loved all her treats and the bed provided. Second visit and will definitely be going for a third
Michael
What a spectacular upside down cottage situated in the lovely Norfolk countryside. Great views of the countryside and the sea in the distance, off the balcony. Very handily situated for the beaches and The Broads. The cottage is very well equipped, with the added bonus of a hot tub in the enclosed garden. The friendly owners, Nikki andJohn, were very helpful in pointing out places of interest to visit. Would definitely recommend this property.
Absolutely lovely house with incredible views from the balcony, feels really nice and secluded. Hot tub was brilliant, we could have easily not even left to explore the surrounding areas! Only small issue was couldnt get the coffee machine to work but there was plenty of sachets so not the end of the world. Definitely will be visiting again in the future for a hopefully longer stay!
Have stopped in many holiday lets over the years but never one better than this one. Lovely accommodation with everything one could wish for. Very dog friendly. Well situated for the beach and other walks. Owner extremely friendly and helpful. Would recommend to anyone.
Alison
Our second stay at Spinney Den and we've already booked it again, so that says everything! The property is of a high standard, Nikki and John are the perfect host's and thought of everything you may need to make your holiday one to remember. The hot tub is amazing especially after a full day exploring beautiful Norfolk. Looking forward already to our return visit.
This is a fantastic little place to stay for a couple with a dog. Although the village itself does not have much in terms of amenities , it is very pretty and peaceful. The lodge is great, hot tub fab, even in the unexpected September sunshine. It was nice to be left to our own devices and know someone was close at hand if we needed anything. Could not get the coffee machine to work however. Everything else was just as described and just as required and I would recommend this property.
A fabulous stay, a repeat visit for us Just as enjoyable as the first Well be back Dave
Amazing property and so well equipped. Welcome pack including cheese baguette grapes and Milk was a really nice touch . I would definitely stay at Spinneys Den again .
Theresa
Lovely welcome, spotlessly clean. Lovely relaxing stay. Only improvement I could suggest would be wifi provision but I would definitely rebook this property in the future.
Spinneys Den is a lovely property close to a sandy beach. The welcome pack was much appreciated together with the personalised welcome letter!. There are many small features available which John and Nikki place for use by anyone using their property. The hot tub is a joyous addition to soak in after a long day., and the view from the balcony is lovely. Thank you John and Nikki for a fantastic stay at your Den ! Andy and Elaine.
Spinneys Den is really lovely, clean and well equipped. The balcony and garden area both have table and chairs and get the sun, and the hot tub is great! We made use of the maps and ample information on the local area which the owners have thoughtfully provided. A great place to stay, and I would recommend it as an ideal base for exploring North Norfolk.
Lovely little house. .loved the hot tub and the views from the balcony. We enjoyed perfect weather and this is a great location for exploring the surrounding area..so many virtually deserted beaches which we and our dog loved! Parks,National Trust places, the Broads all close by.The hosts are unobtrusive but available for any questions. Very nice homemade scones upon arrival, bread, cheese nibbles and grapes was a very nice touch. Couldn't find anything we needed that this home didn't haveapart from i missed a dishwasher
We very much enjoyed our stay at spinney's den. The owners had thought of everything you could need. The bed and pillows where super comfy. It was just a shame it was too windy to sit out on the balcony as the views were lovely.
A great location for our days out exploring Norfolk, the broads only 25 minute car ride and multiple beaches to choose from. Lots of brochures provided in the home to help you choose your days activities. Everything was tidy and clean, and we loved the hot tub! The hosts were lovely and very helpful and we would definitely go back.
The standard at Spinney's Den could not have been higher, everything was extremely well thought out and provided a very comfortable stay for us and our dog. We have had a happy and relaxed holiday and will be back.
Lovely property and Nicki and John were perfect hosts. Always ready to help and not at all intrusive. We will definitely book again. Thank you.

Excellent facilities with everything provided what you need . Good location with easy access to many costal resorts and National Trust properties . Great hot tub for winding down after a busy day .
We spent the weekend and the cottage is fantastic with great little touches from ... We spent the weekend and the cottage is fantastic with great little touches from the owners the scones are to die for would recommend to everyone
We came here for the second part of our minimoon with our pooches and had a wonderful time! It was our second visit here to Spinneys Den after visiting our first time in October 2021. The hosts have thought of everything and all the little details are perfect. Its an extremely warm and personalised welcome, wed highly recommend a stay.
We had the most relaxing week staying at Spinney's Den. The owners are friendly but allow you to get on and enjoy your holiday. The views are amazing and the balcony is perfect for relaxing or star gazing at night. Very well equipped from little sauce packets and welcome scones to everything you could need for your dog. The only tiny niggle was we didn't find the bed very comfortable but that's just our personal preference. We have already recommended to family and can't wait to return.
We really enjoyed our stay at Spinneys Den everything was perfect! We didnt have great weather whilst we were there, however this didnt matter as we loved coming back to the annexe and spending time there it was so cosy and relaxing. Very impressed and would love to stay again!
Alison
Spinney Den is a lovely property, very clean, comfortable and everything needed was provided. Brilliant views & location. The hot tub was the icing on the cake after a long day exploring Norfolk. Nikki and John were very friendly and helpful hosts. We will definitely be returning and happy to recommend to both friends and family.
Theresa
A perfect setting for a week away on the coast. Some lovely beaches only short drives away. A warm welcome awaited in the form of fresh scones, bread and cheese. The studio was spotless with everything you need, including a comfy bed and treats for the dog. The balcony view is fantastic, as is the hot tub which was a godsend after long walks. I made use of the fiction books in the drawer, and the coffee machine, which was a lovely surprise. The village itself is lovely, we often took Jess for a walk around the woods. Reassuring to have the enclosed garden knowing we didnt have to keep Jess on a tight reign. The beach at Mundesley was perfect, and we often found ourselves taking the 5 minute drive down there at sunset for an evening stroll. It really was faultless and the only negative was that we wish our stay was longer. The owners were lovely, they lived nearby but were not at all intrusive. We can highly recommend this beautiful property.
Where do we start. . if allowed we would give our stay 11 10. We loved the property's layout and the views of the neighbouring fields and countryside. The thought that the owners have put into the property can be found throughout from a wide array of toiletries, waterproof macs, welcome scones to everything you could need for your dog. There are some lovely beaches only short drive away. Plenty of lovely local walks around the property as well. The outside space was lovely and very secure for our dog. My husband, myself and our dog all thoroughly enjoyed staying here. I am sure we will be back.
Our stay at the fantastic Spinney's Den exceeded everything we had hoped for. Such a beautiful house in a nice quiet setting. Nikki and John were brilliant hosts and such friendly people. They really do a great job in thinking of guests who are staying by providing items such as beach gear, dog toys, walking equipment, etc. We cannot wait to visit again in the near future.
From start to finish a great break at a stunning location. A lovely welcome pack on our arrival plus some treats for Lottie.
Excellently equipped airy annexe, fresh, clean and inviting appreciated the welcome pack and home made scones. Everything we needed and more and lots to see and do in the area. We had a very relaxing stay at Spinney's Den and really enjoyed our break.
Claire
Fantastic property. Comfortable and very clean. Lovely location, great view from the balcony. Everything we could need. Lovely welcome pack, lots of personal touches. My husband, myself and our dog all thoroughly enjoyed staying here. I am sure we will be back.
Stella
This is a lovely vacation rental. Has everything we needed and more. We had fresh scones and bread awaiting us as well as a range of teas, coffee and milk. These touches really made our stay. The hot tub was spotless. The view from the upstairs balcony is gorgeous. I'd thoroughly recommend this as a place to stay.
This was probably one of the nicest cottages we have stayed in. The views were stunning and there was lots to do in the area.
Beautifully presented, comfortable place to stay. Website picture does not do the accommodation justice.
The property was spotless and everything you could ever need was supplied. Lovely location and great views.
Graham
Booking accommodation unseen can be tricky. The description does not always match the reality. No such problem here. If anything the web page did not do the accommodation justice. We were delighted with every aspect of Spinneys Den big enough to contain all that is needed, yet small enough to have real charm. The rooms were exceptionally clean and tastefully decorated. The balcony provides a wonderful space to enjoy a meal or drink while taking in the lovely views.

Attractions Near Spinney's Den

While there'll be plenty to keep you entertained an Spinney's Den itself, if you plan to get out and about and see some of what Norfolk has to offer, here are some of the nearby attractions you can enjoy during your stay. Please note that some of these activities and days out are paid and it's always a good idea to book in advance to secure your place where applicable.

Found a special day out near your cottage? Please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too!
Bewilderwood - NR12 8JW
about 10 Miles
Bewilderwood is a fun day out for the whole family located in the Wroxham area of Norfolk.  This imaginative adventure park has won awards and we think kids especially will love the characters and the magical tree houses. You can even book your ticket online and beat the queues by visiting their website where you can also view video clips of the park. This place is also the setting for the book 'A Boggle at BeWILDerwood', by local children's author Tom Blofeld.  Parents are not left out either as you're encouraged to take part and play alongside your children.
Sheringham Park - NR26 8TL
about 11 Miles
The National Trust Sheringham Park in Norfolk was designed by Humphry Repton and the book of original designs can still be seen. The park has many attractions including a viewing tower and a gazebo with amazing coastal views, wildlife trails which young children will love and an exhibition barn where visitors can learn the history of the park.
Dinosaur Adventure Park - NR9 5JW
about 16 Miles
This fun family day out has been well planned and we think is certainly worth a visit.  New for 2010 is the PrimEvil at Dinosaur Adventure.  Other fun activities include the Dinosaur Trail, Arachnophobia, the Raptor Races and the adventure play area.  The secret animal garden is also popular.  You can play a role in wildlife conservation and sponsor an animal if you wish.  At the moment if you sign up for their newsletter there is a chance to win a family ticket.
Bishops Boats Seal Trips - NR23 1RY
about 18 Miles
This is a really unique attraction running daily seal watching trips from the middle of March right through to the end of October.  The experienced skippers will lead you out on one of the traditional wooden boats where you will have the chance to see both common and grey seals.  If you love animals then this is one attraction not to be missed! They also do some boat trips combined with guides on dry land such as seal watching combined with a visit to Blakeney Point Nature Reserve, owned by the National Trust.  We think this attraction is excellent value for money as they keep their admission prices low.
Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens - NR21 0LN
about 22 Miles
if you and your family are interested in nature and wildlife then Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens is the perfect place for a day out. This beautiful area of national parkland is home to a huge range of common and rare birds from sparrows to Red Crowned Cranes and also has a red squirrel enclosure - part of a conservation programme and now home to a family of adorable squirrels. Other activities to enjoy at Pensthorpe include pond dipping and Landrover discovery tours. Pensthorpe also played host to BBC'S Springwatch in 2010.
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park - NR32 4TZ
about 27 Miles
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park is an amazing 50 acres area of stunning coastal parkland and is packed with family friendly rides and attractions. This park is an excellent choice for families with children of varied ages as there are a number of small rides for the little ones as well as some adrenaline boosting white knuckle rides for teenagers. As well as rides the site hosts some fantastic shows including the ever popular Sea Lion and Parrot encounters. At Halloween, Christmas and Easter other themed shows can also be enjoyed.  The site also has a good range of places to eat and drink whether you are looking to spend a leisurely hour relaxing with a meal or just grab a quick snack.
Melsop Farm Park - NR20 3DT
about 28 Miles
We love this attraction in Scoulton, Norfolk with a great collection of animals.  Children and adults alike have the chance to get hands on with the animals in the special handling areas.  On rainy days there is always the indoor play area for the little ones and when it's time for a bite to eat the cafe on the farm is open all day selling drinks and snacks.  Hot food is available over lunch times.
