The Little Oak Reviews

Graham
Super little holiday let. Perfect for a quiet getaway. However the experience was marred by the shower compartment which was too small. We think a microwave would have been a good addition in the kitchen with so many people wanting to do quick food whilst away. And again concerning the shower ...that type of sliding door is difficult to clean and there was quite a build up of dirt on the tray where the door slides...needs an old toothbrush or similar or that dirt will be offputting This is meant to be helpful criticism. Overall the holiday was very good
Lovely loft apartment, compact , clean and well maintained. Large peaceful garden with uninterrupted views over fields. Short, easy walk through fields to The Crown, good beer and food. Peaceful location but short drive to beach, amenities and coastal resorts and the Broads.
Beautiful converted barn, clean, tidy, and secluded quite setting, just perfect!
Fantastic place, clean, tidy, well furnished. The owners Luke and Lydia were great and I wouldnt hesitate to recommend the little oak to friends or family. Couldnt have hoped for a better stay to be honest. 1010
My partner and I stayed here for 4 nights and it was perfect for us. Having the hosts so close by was so helpful for when we needed help. Little Oak was clean, cosy and had all the necessities that we needed for our stay. Their giant labradoodle named Arthur was also an added bonus for us and he greeted us every morning. We would definitely stay again and recommend for anyone looking for a quietprivate get away.
Gorgeous. From start to finish.

Attractions Near The Little Oak

While there'll be plenty to keep you entertained an The Little Oak itself, if you plan to get out and about and see some of what Norfolk has to offer, here are some of the nearby attractions you can enjoy during your stay. Please note that some of these activities and days out are paid and it's always a good idea to book in advance to secure your place where applicable.

Found a special day out near your cottage? Please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too!
Sheringham Park - NR26 8TL
about 10 Miles
The National Trust Sheringham Park in Norfolk was designed by Humphry Repton and the book of original designs can still be seen. The park has many attractions including a viewing tower and a gazebo with amazing coastal views, wildlife trails which young children will love and an exhibition barn where visitors can learn the history of the park.
Bewilderwood - NR12 8JW
about 10 Miles
Bewilderwood is a fun day out for the whole family located in the Wroxham area of Norfolk.  This imaginative adventure park has won awards and we think kids especially will love the characters and the magical tree houses. You can even book your ticket online and beat the queues by visiting their website where you can also view video clips of the park. This place is also the setting for the book 'A Boggle at BeWILDerwood', by local children's author Tom Blofeld.  Parents are not left out either as you're encouraged to take part and play alongside your children.
Dinosaur Adventure Park - NR9 5JW
about 15 Miles
This fun family day out has been well planned and we think is certainly worth a visit.  New for 2010 is the PrimEvil at Dinosaur Adventure.  Other fun activities include the Dinosaur Trail, Arachnophobia, the Raptor Races and the adventure play area.  The secret animal garden is also popular.  You can play a role in wildlife conservation and sponsor an animal if you wish.  At the moment if you sign up for their newsletter there is a chance to win a family ticket.
Bishops Boats Seal Trips - NR23 1RY
about 17 Miles
This is a really unique attraction running daily seal watching trips from the middle of March right through to the end of October.  The experienced skippers will lead you out on one of the traditional wooden boats where you will have the chance to see both common and grey seals.  If you love animals then this is one attraction not to be missed! They also do some boat trips combined with guides on dry land such as seal watching combined with a visit to Blakeney Point Nature Reserve, owned by the National Trust.  We think this attraction is excellent value for money as they keep their admission prices low.
Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens - NR21 0LN
about 21 Miles
if you and your family are interested in nature and wildlife then Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens is the perfect place for a day out. This beautiful area of national parkland is home to a huge range of common and rare birds from sparrows to Red Crowned Cranes and also has a red squirrel enclosure - part of a conservation programme and now home to a family of adorable squirrels. Other activities to enjoy at Pensthorpe include pond dipping and Landrover discovery tours. Pensthorpe also played host to BBC'S Springwatch in 2010.
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park - NR32 4TZ
about 27 Miles
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park is an amazing 50 acres area of stunning coastal parkland and is packed with family friendly rides and attractions. This park is an excellent choice for families with children of varied ages as there are a number of small rides for the little ones as well as some adrenaline boosting white knuckle rides for teenagers. As well as rides the site hosts some fantastic shows including the ever popular Sea Lion and Parrot encounters. At Halloween, Christmas and Easter other themed shows can also be enjoyed.  The site also has a good range of places to eat and drink whether you are looking to spend a leisurely hour relaxing with a meal or just grab a quick snack.
Melsop Farm Park - NR20 3DT
about 28 Miles
We love this attraction in Scoulton, Norfolk with a great collection of animals.  Children and adults alike have the chance to get hands on with the animals in the special handling areas.  On rainy days there is always the indoor play area for the little ones and when it's time for a bite to eat the cafe on the farm is open all day selling drinks and snacks.  Hot food is available over lunch times.
