A very comfy homely place to stay. It was very very clean and perfect for what we was looking for. Couldnt have asked for a better stay. We arrived early and that was not an issue, which helped after a long journey. Couldnt have asked for a better weekend getaway. Thank you for a lovely stay.
Melanie

Kayleigh
We had a fantastic stay in the lodge. Its comfortable and well equipped, with a lovely pub and tearoom a short distance away. There was some nice touches left on arrival. Hot tub is fantastic, and we would definitely recommend this place for couples who would like a weekend break.
Leah
Stayed at this lodge with my boyfriend over a long weekend and it was lovely such a cosy little getaway really lovely welcome goodies when we arrived , which set the tone for the weekend . I would highly recommend going such a lovely experience .
David
This was one of the nicest places I have ever stayed. Everything had been thought of with little notes and instructions on everything. The place is perfect for a quiet weekend or longer away from the hustle and bustle of the world. One thing I can thoroughly recommend is to get that hot tub warm and get in it! Apparently some find it complicated, b ut it's just light a fire and keep it going for 4 hours.
Cy
The lodge was very clean and came with everything that was needed for the stay. The area is only a short drive from Dereham and Bawdeswell. The only concern is the hottub area could do with a privacy door, otherwise I am very happy with the condition of the lodge and my stay there.
Thomas

Excellent in every way. Would strongly recommend a stay here.
Alan
The property is in a great location close to Norwich and other Norfolk attractions. It was spotlessly clean and extremely comfortable. Fully equipped with everything needed for a great short stay.
Jane
A lovely little bolt hole located in the heart of North Norfolk. Lots of fantastic places to visit and no more than 30-40 minutes away. The lodge is compact and bijou but has everything two people require for a nice relaxing break. A decking area, BBQ, a well kept garden and a wood-fired hot tub. Great care was taken by the owners to ensure our sta y was relaxing - lovely little touches like a loaf of fresh bread, crisps and Prosecco, so it was straight outside on to the decking area. Superb.
Sam
Lovely cabin in rural Norfolk with plenty to see and do locally within driving distance. Exceptionally clean and well presented. We felt very welcome and really enjoyed our stay, and returned home feeling rested and relaxed by our short break.
Charlie
Wouldnt recommend anywhere else for a romantic relaxing break. Was simply superb. Thank you so much!!!!
Kate

Joshua
I would 100% recommend it here. It was lovely and in a really good location in Norfolk. We was able to see the entirety of Norfolk, with most places being 30 minutes away from the cottage.
Eliza
Very lovely little cabin. Hot tub does take a lot longer than expected to heat up. Very close to bawdeswell garden centre and close to a bus stop too. Great little getaway!
Penny
Beautiful, well equipped, we wanted for nothing and enjoyed the novelty of a wood fired hot tub. Would definitely recommend a stay here.
Megan
The location was absolutely amazing. The locals were so friendly and very welcoming! The lodge was just beautifully designed and presented. We had everything we needed and such help from the hosts. We will definitely be staying again. The hot tub was fun to use we found it quite romantic doing the fire together. It was just the perfect get away and gave us a very much needed break away.
Katherine
The cottage was immaculately clean and well designed. The front of the lodge is open to the garden while providing privacy from the road etc. The hosts have thoughtfully provided everything you need for a stay and we had a completely stress free break.
Chris

Attractions Near The Lodge At Heath Cottage

While there'll be plenty to keep you entertained an The Lodge At Heath Cottage itself, if you plan to get out and about and see some of what Norfolk has to offer, here are some of the nearby attractions you can enjoy during your stay. Please note that some of these activities and days out are paid and it's always a good idea to book in advance to secure your place where applicable.

Found a special day out near your cottage? Please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too!
Dinosaur Adventure Park - NR9 5JW
about 4 Miles
This fun family day out has been well planned and we think is certainly worth a visit.  New for 2010 is the PrimEvil at Dinosaur Adventure.  Other fun activities include the Dinosaur Trail, Arachnophobia, the Raptor Races and the adventure play area.  The secret animal garden is also popular.  You can play a role in wildlife conservation and sponsor an animal if you wish.  At the moment if you sign up for their newsletter there is a chance to win a family ticket.
Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens - NR21 0LN
about 8 Miles
if you and your family are interested in nature and wildlife then Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens is the perfect place for a day out. This beautiful area of national parkland is home to a huge range of common and rare birds from sparrows to Red Crowned Cranes and also has a red squirrel enclosure - part of a conservation programme and now home to a family of adorable squirrels. Other activities to enjoy at Pensthorpe include pond dipping and Landrover discovery tours. Pensthorpe also played host to BBC'S Springwatch in 2010.
Melsop Farm Park - NR20 3DT
about 12 Miles
We love this attraction in Scoulton, Norfolk with a great collection of animals.  Children and adults alike have the chance to get hands on with the animals in the special handling areas.  On rainy days there is always the indoor play area for the little ones and when it's time for a bite to eat the cafe on the farm is open all day selling drinks and snacks.  Hot food is available over lunch times.
Sheringham Park - NR26 8TL
about 14 Miles
The National Trust Sheringham Park in Norfolk was designed by Humphry Repton and the book of original designs can still be seen. The park has many attractions including a viewing tower and a gazebo with amazing coastal views, wildlife trails which young children will love and an exhibition barn where visitors can learn the history of the park.
Bishops Boats Seal Trips - NR23 1RY
about 14 Miles
This is a really unique attraction running daily seal watching trips from the middle of March right through to the end of October.  The experienced skippers will lead you out on one of the traditional wooden boats where you will have the chance to see both common and grey seals.  If you love animals then this is one attraction not to be missed! They also do some boat trips combined with guides on dry land such as seal watching combined with a visit to Blakeney Point Nature Reserve, owned by the National Trust.  We think this attraction is excellent value for money as they keep their admission prices low.
Bewilderwood - NR12 8JW
about 17 Miles
Bewilderwood is a fun day out for the whole family located in the Wroxham area of Norfolk.  This imaginative adventure park has won awards and we think kids especially will love the characters and the magical tree houses. You can even book your ticket online and beat the queues by visiting their website where you can also view video clips of the park. This place is also the setting for the book 'A Boggle at BeWILDerwood', by local children's author Tom Blofeld.  Parents are not left out either as you're encouraged to take part and play alongside your children.
Banham Zoo - NR16 2HE
about 20 Miles
This award winning wildlife attraction has much to offer both families and couples looking for a fun and educational day out.  You can discover a whole wild world of animals with over 1000 different animals from around the world. You will probably want to try and spend the whole day here so you don's miss out on anything.  Highlights include the amazing animals presentation, the birds of prey display and the feeding talks, all of which take place at set times of the day.  This attraction is fantastic value for money and highly recommended.  Their latest event is the Snow Leopard Club Naming Auction and there has recently been a baby giraffe born at the zoo.
