Whitehands Farm Barn Reviews

Vanessa
We had a lovely break and would recommend this to anyone!
We took a short break after the hustle and bustle of Xmas, what a great decision. The barn was spotlessly clean, well equipped, dishwasher etc, a lovely welcome basket with wine, tea, coffee, milk & biscuits. If you want peace and quiet this is the perfect place, 1010 for us.Thankyou Colin & Mary.

Mary the owner just knocked after we had arrived to tell us she lived in the village and to call if we needed anything, it was nice to know, however everything worked perfectly and we had no complaints whatsoever. Lovely place to stay, hopefully will return again.
Jeanette
Thoroughly enjoyable stay in this lovely barn conversion. Having three bedrooms all with ensuite bathrooms suited our multigeneration family holiday. In addition, the hottub was excellent as was the very wellkept garden. Would definitely recommend this cottage.
This property was first class. Everything about it was 2nd to none. Very Clean and Roomy the design of the property has been carried out to a very high standard. There was plenty of parking and a large garden for our dog Winnie winniethepooch2021 to run around. The Hot Tub made it that extra special place after we had been out for the day. We definitely will look to return here next year.
The cottage was amazing, everything you could want and more! Welcome pack was fantastic Hot Tub was such a good addition and was well used by us after a coming home from our days out. Would highly recommended and definitely hope to return ourselves
We had a lovely time at Whitehands Farm Barn. The enclosed garden was perfect for our dog and the hot tub was fab! Cottage well equipped and clean. We did have a problem with the TV, which we reported to owner and they looked at the next day. Unfortunately it couldnt be fixed so they ordered a new one but this didnt arrive whilst we were there, hopefully it will be in time for the next customers. We were left a lovely welcome pack which was gratefully received! The location was beautiful and perfectly situated for travelling around Norfolk and Suffolk. Would recommend Horsey Windpump, Ross Wildlife Boat Trip, Sandringham Estate, Sutton Hoo, all of the National Trust Houses, and for a lovely meal go to the Gamekeepers in Old Buckenham. Thank you to Colin and Mary for a lovely stay!
Gareth
The property is exactly as listed, the owners are very helpful and communicative. Offering travel suggestions a week ahead, looking to help with cots and high chairs for our children and popping over upon our arrival. We discovered a wasp nest one morning and within an hour Colin was over with pest control and it was dealt work immediately. I couldn't rate Colin more highly!!
We had a wonderful week staying at Whitehands Farm barn. Loved the layout of the building, lovely garden and hot tub.particularly liked the rural peace and tranquillity.

This was one of the top rentals we have ever been to. The cottage, location and facilities were exactly what we wanted. We could not have been happier.
Whitehands Farm Barn is a fabulous place to stay. Everything about the barn is top quality, comfortable and spotlessly clean. A lovely welcome basket was waiting for us, plus a tub of treats for our dog. It is the perfect place to unwind or use as a base for exploring Norfolk. We will be staying there again!
What an absolutely lovely place quiet location, well furnished, every home comfort, super clean and the owners could not have been more welcoming.

This is a lovely property in a very peaceful location but within reach of Norwich and other places of interest. Everything was maintained to the highest standard and the place was exceptionally well equipped. We had everything we needed for the kitchen with good quality cooking equipment, crockery , cutlery and glassware. The outdoor fridge in the shed, in addition to the one in the house, was very welcome and we appreciated the nice touch of the bag of ice. The garden was lovely and spacious , the hot tub great and there was an outdoor table and chairs, parasol and seat pads. Nothing was wanting. Plenty of car parking space too. Would definitely recommend. Thank you.
Had a great week at Whitehands farm barn. There was a welcome pack when we arrived which was much appreciated. All rooms were En suite which suited our party down to the ground. The barn was well equipped with everything that we needed. Plenty of books, puzzles, games to keep you occupied, plenty of power points in all rooms for chargers etc. The garden is very spacious and well kept, spent plenty of time out enjoying the sun. Loved the hot tub. Fantastic way to end the day, perfect chill down. When we did have an issue with our heating, the owner Colin was on it and got it sorted within an hour. Would highly recommend and will definitely be back ourselves at some point will remember to put the bin out next time

All you really need to do at Whitehands Farm Barn is turn up. Everything else has already been thought of and is already there! I specifically bought plastic flutes to have Prosecco in the hot tub, there was no need as plastic glass ware in all shapes and sizes were already there! So now my family and friends have said I have to buy my own hot tub at home to go with my plastic flutes Ill try! Colin and Mary are fantastic hosts. The space they have created for us to enjoy is amazing. I would love to book again in the future and am already definitely recommending Whitehands Farm Barn to everyone I know. It is gorgeous! Only couple of minor points, we never found the drying room but used the clothes airer provided in the shed in front of the radiator in the kitchen. And we got caught out by ordering from one local take away restaurant who only accepted cash on delivery as we only had payment cards on that particular evening.
Jillian
Beautiful cottage, very well equiped and hospitable hosts. Every need is catered for. Would definitely book again. Thank you.
Fabulous cottage, would highly recommend it.

This is my third visit and am never disappointed. Its the ideal place for some rest and relaxation. Also handy for getting into Norwich and starting some Christmas shopping.
Veronica
Nigel and Mary had thought of everything. It was very clean with a lovely welcome pack. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay. Thank you.
Beautiful property in a lovely location. Hosts were on hand to answer any queries. Everything very well maintained would recommend!
We had a wonderful relaxing time x beautiful place x
Had a nice time. Lovely and quiet. Great base to explore. Not the cleanest when we arrived, had to clean the floors ourselves and chocolate wrappers found behind the sofa. No welcome pack or dishwasher tablets. Dishwasher needed rinse aid and salt, but none in cupboard. Couldve done with a bit of TLC in places, the main bedroom ensuite shower drips kept me awake in the night and the dining room chairs for example were well past their best.
A very well appointed property. The one improvement would be more comfortable seating in the patio area..

We had a wonderful time in this beautiful Barn conversion, the owners had thought of Absolutely everything ,and the land and garden was a lovely surprise much bigger than we expected, the kids loved having there own room and bathroom dressing room also the hot tub was a big hit, fabulous property 10 out of 10
Absolutely fell in love with Whitehands Farm Barn. My family had a wonderful time, my only regret it wasnt for longer.
Richard
A great base to explore Norfolk, everything you need is there and situated in a nice quiet village. A relaxing quiet break.
Debbie
What a relaxing break we had at this beautiful barn in beautiful surroundings. We didn't want to leave. The photos do not do it justice. I took an 8 minute video and sent it to friends and family and everyone commented on its beauty. As a family, we ranged from age 21 to 89 years and took our 17 yr old Jack Russell with us and we all enjoyed our holiday break. The barn is home from home, clean and spacious and well layed out. We each had our own rooms and showers, and bath in the master room, which allowed us our own privacy and space when needed. The garden is huge and secure for our dog to bimble around, until his little legs tired, whereby he would collapse infront of the open french doors in his bed. The hot tub was incredibly clean and a great way to relax at the end of the day. This was a first experience for our 89 year old aunt. The owners have clearly thought of everything and the welcome pack was greatly appreciated. We all would definately recommend this property and hope to return
Cannot recommend this venue highly enough. Excellent property catering for all your needs. Beautiful tranquil setting. Effective communication including directions and places to visit, dine and explore. Just the venue for a relax and recharge.
Victoria
We had a lovely stay at Whitehands Farm Barn, it was the perfect base for a relaxed weekend away with friends. The location was beautiful and the hot tub was great!
White hands farm barn is absolutely lovely. If you just want peace and comfort, then this is definitely the place for you. It was so handy, having three bathrooms, as there was three women need I say more. The owners have thought of everything, it's like a home away from home. I chose this because my mother in law, is a little infirm. It's all one level, so she could get about really easily. It's a shame that she couldn't use the hot tub, but my sister in law and I certainly did. I definitely have no reservations, about recommending this place.
Wonderful property with everything we could possibly need. Clean and comfortable with the added bonus of 3 bathrooms and the hot tub. Great hosts who couldnt have been more helpful. Lovely base for exploring the local area. Would love to come back and stay soon
Had a lovely weekend at Whitehands Farm. So peaceful and everything in the kitchen that you needed plus a welcome hamper. Great communication with Colin and Mary came to check everything was ok when we arrived. They allowed us to check in early and check out late as no one in after us which was very welcome by us! Would definitely recommend this and would definitely return. Thank you Colin & Mary XX
Elaine
Had a fantastic stay. So relaxing and quiet.

The perfect spot. . very quiet location
Jacqueline
What a wonderful home! Spotlessly clean, beautifully furnished. My husband and I wanted to move in permanently! The hot tub was lovely and the location very quiet. I loved hearing owls and foxes at night. There was a welcome basket of coffee tea and biscuits and even a bottle of wine. Just a side note, it would be really helpful in the listings to say that there were things like tea towels and hairdryers and dishwasher tablets provided. Thank you Colin for a lovely holiday
Glenda
A beautiful cottage. Everything you would need was provided including a welcome basket. Enclosed, private garden ideal for our dog. We made good use of the barbecue and hot tub too. En suite in every bedroom also a bonus. Thoroughly enjoyed our stay.
Immaculate accommodation in a beautiful , quiet hamlet with friendly and helpful ... Immaculate accommodation in a beautiful , quiet hamlet with friendly and helpful hosts living nearby , we thoroughly enjoyed our weeks holiday and the gorgeous weather was an added bonus too
Well what can i say, one of the best barns i have stayed in and i have stayed at a lot i can assure you. Colin and Mary were wonderful hosts, the barn was so clean and very well equipped, they have thought of everything. The lovely welcome hamper was very well received, tea, coffee, biscuits, wine, even doggie biscuits for our old boy. The barn its self is very spacious light and airy, the outdoor space was great for the dog. also the hot tub was a huge bonus for us and the kids after a long day sight seeing. As the weather was so lovely, we only ate outdoors, so we got to see a lot of wildlife too so lovely to see a barn owl swoop across the garden. Its a wonderful place to stay, we were not disappointed, definitely hoping to book again.
Christopher
We had a great relaxing holiday plenty of walks and a couple of meals out at the local pubs

Banham Zoo - NR16 2HE
about 1 Mile
This award winning wildlife attraction has much to offer both families and couples looking for a fun and educational day out.  You can discover a whole wild world of animals with over 1000 different animals from around the world. You will probably want to try and spend the whole day here so you don's miss out on anything.  Highlights include the amazing animals presentation, the birds of prey display and the feeding talks, all of which take place at set times of the day.  This attraction is fantastic value for money and highly recommended.  Their latest event is the Snow Leopard Club Naming Auction and there has recently been a baby giraffe born at the zoo.
Melsop Farm Park - NR20 3DT
about 7 Miles
We love this attraction in Scoulton, Norfolk with a great collection of animals.  Children and adults alike have the chance to get hands on with the animals in the special handling areas.  On rainy days there is always the indoor play area for the little ones and when it's time for a bite to eat the cafe on the farm is open all day selling drinks and snacks.  Hot food is available over lunch times.
Dinosaur Adventure Park - NR9 5JW
about 16 Miles
This fun family day out has been well planned and we think is certainly worth a visit.  New for 2010 is the PrimEvil at Dinosaur Adventure.  Other fun activities include the Dinosaur Trail, Arachnophobia, the Raptor Races and the adventure play area.  The secret animal garden is also popular.  You can play a role in wildlife conservation and sponsor an animal if you wish.  At the moment if you sign up for their newsletter there is a chance to win a family ticket.
Suffolk Owl Sanctuary - IP28 6HX
about 20 Miles
This amazing owl sanctuary located in the Stowmarket area of Suffolk should be high on your list of places to visit in the area.  The attraction is also a registered charity and carries out important work in the care & rehabilitation of owls from the region.  The sanctuary also raises awareness of owl conservation throughout the UK.  Between April and the end of September there are two superb flying displays each day so you should try and make your visit coincide with one of these displays if you can.
Ickworth House, Park & Gardens - IP29 5QE
about 23 Miles
The National Trust Ickworth House, Park & Gardens is a Beautiful 1800 acre country estate with many attractions including a fantastic adventure playground for the children and a range of nature trails which the whole family will enjoy. The site also has a family friendly cycle route a gift shop and a small café
Bewilderwood - NR12 8JW
about 24 Miles
Bewilderwood is a fun day out for the whole family located in the Wroxham area of Norfolk.  This imaginative adventure park has won awards and we think kids especially will love the characters and the magical tree houses. You can even book your ticket online and beat the queues by visiting their website where you can also view video clips of the park. This place is also the setting for the book 'A Boggle at BeWILDerwood', by local children's author Tom Blofeld.  Parents are not left out either as you're encouraged to take part and play alongside your children.
Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens - NR21 0LN
about 24 Miles
if you and your family are interested in nature and wildlife then Pensthorpe Nature Reserve & Gardens is the perfect place for a day out. This beautiful area of national parkland is home to a huge range of common and rare birds from sparrows to Red Crowned Cranes and also has a red squirrel enclosure - part of a conservation programme and now home to a family of adorable squirrels. Other activities to enjoy at Pensthorpe include pond dipping and Landrover discovery tours. Pensthorpe also played host to BBC'S Springwatch in 2010.
Africa Alive - NR33 7TF
about 29 Miles
Africa Alive is one of Suffolk's largest attractions and one of the most popular in the whole of the UK.  The Africa themed park is very unique and gives visitors the chance to see some amazing creatures in a habitat which is as close to nature as possible. The park can be explored by car and on foot and Hyenas and Giraffes are just some of the animals you will encounter as you make your way around the park. Watch out for the lightning fast Cheetahs and keep your eyes peeled to spot the more reclusive creatures. During a day at Africa Alive there will be plenty of shows and educational talks taking place and if the weather turns then the indoor Adventure Play Ground comes in very handy. The site also has a well stocked Gift Shop and a Discovery Centre.
