Steve
Thoroughly enjoyed our week here. An excellent job has been done of converting The Mill to a comfortable and interesting holiday accommodation. Very warm and cosy, especially with the wood burner and nice to have the sunroom to enjoy sunny days and the views. Really enjoyed relaxing in the hot tub looking at the stars. Lots of walking options from Read morethe accommodation and Debenham village, 5 minutes walk away, provides 2 pubs, an amazing butcher, greengrocer, Co-Op and independent stores. Hide

Well it was quite eventful. We live in Colchester, so no too far from Debenhambut the floods were a surprise and it was cut off. Great help from Joe, pictures of the flooding made us feel that the holiday was over before it began. We had a call first thing Saturday from Joe, the water had all but gone, and a route to the Mill. Great stay as ever a Read morelovely break and great family to stay with. Hide

A wonderful property in a great location, ideal for visiting Suffolk coast and countryside. Joe and Sandra were amazing hosts. They provided us with a lovely welcome pack. The walking books in the property Were very helpful. We will be back.

Great place. Couldnt have asked for more
Jan
It was a lovely place to stay, very clean and welcoming. The surroundings was so peaceful with lovely countryside for nice walks. The holiday home was superb with everything we needed, so spacious and calming.
Martin
The property is described as private, but the owner is passing directly in front of the property several times a day to work at the end of the field and even had a bonfire on one day,so made it undesirable to use the outside space on that afternoon. The property was very comfortable, with everything you need and a nice welcome pack of bread, butter,ja m and apple juice. When paying that price for privacy,we felt slightly let down, but overall it was good to experience this unique property.
Christian
Immaculate acclimation, well equipped and positioned perfectly on the outskirts of a quant village. Lovely views surrounded by wildlife and a relaxing hot tub .
Nina

Nice pub in the village about 10 mins walk. The Mill was clean and tidy with everything we needed on hand. Sandra and Joe great hosts so thanks for having us.

This was our second visit to this lovely property. The mill has been beautifully renovated and has everything you could possibly need. We loved watching the wildlife, especially the birds, bunnies and occassional deer.Joe and Sandra are friendly and approachable, but not intrusive. An ideal base for exploring the local area, Debenham has a good ran ge of amenities . Framlingham is worth a visit and he coast is not too far to travel. Hope to visit again next year.

Had a lovely, relaxing 4 night stay with our dog. Great location with lots of wildlife on doorstep. Mill has everything you need for a wonderful break. Lots of places to visit including Southwold, Framlingham etc. Took advantage of the very local takeaway.....twice! Hot tub was a treat and hosts were lovely and enjoyed welcome treats.
Ryan
We had a wonderful stay at the Mill. It was wonderfully quiet and isolated, sitting out on the deck or in the sunroom provided a lovely view of the fields and the rabbits hopping around. The owners are welcoming, on hand if you need them, but leave you to enjoy the tranquility. The location was perfect for exploring Suffolk, we found some beautiful places to walk and explore. A walk round Debenham is a must, especially to the River Green Caf for breakfast.
Ann
This is very well equipped cottage is in a great location for visiting Suffolk. with plenty of space for two people. We didn't even use the lounge as the sun room was so delightful. - sitting watching the rabbits and the birds. And of course the hot tub was wonderful.

Absolutely loved our stay here, such a quirky beautiful building. We felt welcomed and comfortable as soon as we arrived; so much attention to detail, beautiful decor, comfortable bed and sofas, well stocked kitchen with everything thought of. We loved sitting in the hot tub watching the birds, bunnies, muntjac and the sun setting with a well deser ved glass of Prosecco! The sun room is lovely in the morning coming to with a coffee and delicious toast and marmalade left for us - thank you.
Daniel
A beauty of a holiday home with everything you could possibly need in one place. Different enough to make it special yet filled with homely comforts. The Mill is in a beautiful setting and within reach of numerous walks and village pubs. We quickly settled into rhythm of morning walks, pub visit and relaxing at the Mill with drinks and hot tub. It was exactly the holiday we wanted, and couldn't have hoped for a better place to stay.
Catherine
Such a lovely holiday let, the wildlife was fantastic, and so quiet, Sandra & Jo were extremely helpful friendly and unobtrusive, nothing to much trouble, will definitely be back.
Alexandra
Lovely place, I felt the pictures were a little misrepresentative of location as it was so close to the other house, not as rural as expected. Bed was very noisy. Shower a little small. Apart from that really lovely place!!
Rob
Second stay here at this windmill - every bit as good as the first. Fantastic!
Donna

The owners of this property are lo vely very accommodating people & its located in some lovely country side with plenty of wildlife to watch . Highly recommended for a relaxing getaway
Suzanne
This cottage ticks all the boxes in our opinion, well appointed, great owners, hot tub, wood burner etc. The location is quiet and peaceful lots of wildlife to see and yet Debenham is in walking distance and is on the bus route. Lovely walks on your doorstep too. If you are thinking about booking dont wait you wont be disappointed.
Kay
The Mill, at Debenham was an absolute delight! Joe and Sandra have created a haven away from home. The standard of decor and furnishing was excellent: tasteful and calm. The environment surrounding The Mill, complimented the interior - and we enjoyed watching a wide variety of wildlife come and go, both day and night. The setting is peaceful and pr ivate: enabling us to enjoy a dip in the hot tub before and after dark. The friendly hosts were on hand if needed providing a lots of local knowledge.
Geri
Debenham mill was perfect. Could not fault anything. Joe and Sandra Johnson were excellent and so much local knowledge between them. Debenham is a fabulous village with lots of places to visit. The wild life at the mill was beautiful.. saw lots of different birds . Ruby our Welsh terrier loved it too. Will definitely be back.
Alistair
Peaceful location, stunning wildlife, well-equipped, charming and spacious property. Handy for visiting Southwold, Framlingham, Sutton Hoo, Ickworth. Really enjoyed it and hope to return.
Tom
Me and wife had a wonderful stay in a very spacious and comfortable property. We brought our dog and the owners kindly left dog treats which is a lovely gesture. The owners, Joe and Sandra, are very hospitable and have provided a great holiday rental to explore the gorgeous Suffolk countryside close to the coastal area. Very well furnished and the hot tub is a lovely facility to come back to in the evening with BBQ and plenty of decking space. We will definitely come back to stay.
Susan
Debenham Mill was a stunning property and a real home from home. We had fantastic weather but I think it would be equally as enjoyable in colder times with the log burner and the hot tub. Just sitting on the deck we saw numerous birds, birds of prey, rabbits and a deer. Lots of little touches within the cottage like a good set of binoculars and eve rything you could need in the kitchen if you didnt want to eat out. Somewhere we would definitely visit again.
Mark
We really enjoyed staying here and had a truly relaxing and fun experience both at the old mill and exploring the surrounding countryside and wider parts of Suffolk. The hot tub was magnificent!
Ken
Fantastic place to stay for a romantic break & or to explore the surrounding countryside. Very well equipped, unique converted windmill with spacious accommodation in private setting. Walking distance to village of Debenham. Plenty of wildlife to observe from the patio: rabbits, woodpeckers, ducks & ornamental fish etc. Owners Mr & Mrs Johnson real ly friendly.
John
A truly wonderful place to stay. The property retains many features of the original windmill and has been beautifully restored and modernised inside. The owners are very helpful and friendly without being at all intrusive. We shall cetainly return and recommed the property to others.
