Sunrise Dunwich Reviews

Cindy
Absolutely love the park site, the lodge was amazing - loved the long weekend away and enjoyed the hot tub. So relaxing. Lodge itself was clean and well equipment - just perfect! Thank you.
Vicki
Really nice holiday park with a great location for easy access to many walks which some lead to Dunwich with local cafe, pub and tearoom without having to drive. Bar and restaurant newly refurbished and was done out very nicely providing a hub onsite. Accommodation as expected with an enclosed area for the dog which was great to quickly let him out . Had a great family break away taking in various seaside places to visit locally and enjoying local activities in the area for all to enjoy.
Abigail
Best holiday we have been on in a long time. Perfect for children and dogs. Beautiful location we could hear the sea when sitting in the hot tub. Will be booking a few more times this year!
Rebecca
Undeniably idlyllic location but be mindful that the site is cramped and busy. Bedroom 2 here is tiny too.
Claudia
V pleasant lodge, within good holiday park, fabulous coastal location. Easy to walk along the beach to neighbouring places. Bar/restaurant on site really nice food, dog friendly. To see and hear the sea and to know it was just the other side of the gate was just great. Kitchen well equipped and living area nice size and comfy. Hot tub OK but seen b etter days. While all the essential things were clean (kitchen bathroom towels bedding) some areas of the lodge could have been a little better for 4
Helen
A well-positioned lodge with the added bonus of a hot tub. We appreciated the relaxing, peaceful time away and will miss hearing the sea.
Catherine
A relaxing stay, sitting on the balcony you can hear the waves.
Mandy

Beth
What a lovely lodge. So clean and bright. Everything you need and lovely and dog friendly. It has an enclosed garden so its perfect. And so close to the sea.
Elise
We had a fab week, couldnt believe how close the lodge was to the beach. Lovely peaceful location. Lodge was nice, clean & cosy considering we had some horrible weather.
Alan
Lovely lodge . Beds a bit hard but slept ok.
Thomas
Great place to stay and we could not have asked for a better location. Have visited the site many times but this was the first time in a lodge. The only frustration was the hot tub which could not be used after day one. Once it had been maintained on day two the temperature was turned right down and it was therefore unusable as we were unable to ad just the temperature ourselves. Very frustrating!
Claire
We had a really lovely weekend at Sunrise Lodge. Being able to hear and see the sea from the lodge was wonderful. It was well equipped with some lovely touches, great the the dogs could enjoy our break too. The gated area for the dogs was a godsend. We got to see some beautiful sunrises and sunsets, being literally a stones through from the beach was p erfect. The park itself is well kept and had a lovely atmosphere.Only downside is that the mattress was a little harder than Im used to.Great weekend.

Africa Alive - NR33 7TF
about 11 Miles
Africa Alive is one of Suffolk's largest attractions and one of the most popular in the whole of the UK.  The Africa themed park is very unique and gives visitors the chance to see some amazing creatures in a habitat which is as close to nature as possible. The park can be explored by car and on foot and Hyenas and Giraffes are just some of the animals you will encounter as you make your way around the park. Watch out for the lightning fast Cheetahs and keep your eyes peeled to spot the more reclusive creatures. During a day at Africa Alive there will be plenty of shows and educational talks taking place and if the weather turns then the indoor Adventure Play Ground comes in very handy. The site also has a well stocked Gift Shop and a Discovery Centre.
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park - NR32 4TZ
about 17 Miles
Pleasurewood Hills Theme Park is an amazing 50 acres area of stunning coastal parkland and is packed with family friendly rides and attractions. This park is an excellent choice for families with children of varied ages as there are a number of small rides for the little ones as well as some adrenaline boosting white knuckle rides for teenagers. As well as rides the site hosts some fantastic shows including the ever popular Sea Lion and Parrot encounters. At Halloween, Christmas and Easter other themed shows can also be enjoyed.  The site also has a good range of places to eat and drink whether you are looking to spend a leisurely hour relaxing with a meal or just grab a quick snack.
Suffolk Owl Sanctuary - IP28 6HX
about 21 Miles
This amazing owl sanctuary located in the Stowmarket area of Suffolk should be high on your list of places to visit in the area.  The attraction is also a registered charity and carries out important work in the care & rehabilitation of owls from the region.  The sanctuary also raises awareness of owl conservation throughout the UK.  Between April and the end of September there are two superb flying displays each day so you should try and make your visit coincide with one of these displays if you can.
Banham Zoo - NR16 2HE
about 28 Miles
This award winning wildlife attraction has much to offer both families and couples looking for a fun and educational day out.  You can discover a whole wild world of animals with over 1000 different animals from around the world. You will probably want to try and spend the whole day here so you don's miss out on anything.  Highlights include the amazing animals presentation, the birds of prey display and the feeding talks, all of which take place at set times of the day.  This attraction is fantastic value for money and highly recommended.  Their latest event is the Snow Leopard Club Naming Auction and there has recently been a baby giraffe born at the zoo.
