Outstanding! Welcoming, very well equipped, would highly recommend and will most certainly return!
What a beautiful, cozy clean cottage. Absolutely lovely. You will want for nothing. Lovely cream tea awaited us on arrival . Log fire. Hot tub was so relaxing after a days walking. Jane the owner was so quick to respond to any questions asked . I can only say 'Thank you '
Lovely cottage perfect for a short stay post Christmas. Very clean and comfortable and well situated for lots of dog walks and pretty villages. Very nice touches include a welcome cream tea which went down very well!
1010 would recommend. ...excellent stay, everything you could possibly need and more. Complimentary wine, scones and dog biscuits is very thoughtful. Not often i say we will return just because of wanting to explore new places however we will be sure to re book this for later in the year. Loved every min. thank you x
Very comfortable and cosy cottage in a nice location with good facilities. Especially loved the log burner and hot tub.
Beautiful spotlessly clean cottage. Hot tub was easy to get in and out of which was a bonus. Log burner was lovely I would recommend this cottage!
We absolutely love Shenton cottage. It felt like home as soon as we walked through the door. It is obvious a lot of time and love has gone into this family cottage and we wish to say thankyou to Jane, Steve and Johnny the dog for allowing us to use your lovely property. The cottage is well furnished, comfortable and has everything you should need. It is very clean, as is the amazing hot tub too. I will definitely recommend and hope to return for a little longer next time.
Fantastic cottage with everything you could need during your stay. The owners communication and assistance during the visit was outstanding. Beautiful cottage that felt like home.

Absolutely stunning interior and spotlessly clean. Located high above Buxton, it has great views of countryside back and golf course front. Lovely information about the history to the property in the Guest Book. Delicious teacream awaits you on arrival, all beautifully presented in a bone china teaset. We naughtily had ours for breakfast the following morning, and why not?! A welcome bottle of wine too we didn't have that for breakfast though!!! The decor and furnishings are perfect, are the bathrooms. Icing on the cake, a wellmaintianed hottub, set at a perfect temperature. We only stayed 3nights but could've easily moved in!!! Jane was great too at communicating information as well as sconebaker. Highly recommend a stay at Shenton Cottage
We had a wonderful time at Shenton Cottage. The property is beautifully presented and every little touch is considered. The hot tub was a great way to unwind at the end of the day too! Huge thanks to Jane and Steve who were so accommodating and rightly proud of their beautiful property.
Yet another wonderful week in Shenton Cottage. The weather was against us but because of the excellent location of Shenton we still had a lovely week which included trips to Bakewell, Chartwell House and the Monsal Trail. We also took the short walk into Buxton town centre for some lovely meals Pizza Express, Simply Thai and St Moritz are our favourites. Back at the cottage, we had the relaxing hottub all ready for you on arrival and for the duration of our stay and the logburner fire again, already laid with more wood available to help us relax outside or inside the cottage. We also agree that the beds are wonderful, very large with warm duvets. There are also lots of lovely little touches which makes this cottage so well equipped. We have already booked again for June 2024. Keith & Elaine

We had the most amazing stay at Shenton Cottage with 2 toddlers and 2 dogs the house was perfect, everything had been thought of. The hot tub was great and the cream tea on arrival was fabulous. Cannot fault our stay. Thank you so much.
Shenton is a lovely well equipped cottage the welcome pack with homemade scones was brilliant its a great base for exploring the Peak District with the added bonus of a hot tub. Jane & Steve are very friendly. We even got advice on where to visit by the window cleaner. We had a great time thanks Phil & Jackie

Smahing cottage. Welcoming cream tea much appreciated Cottage well equipped high standard of cleanliness and maintenance . Owners very friendly. Great base for seeing the peak district.
Amanda
Wonderful property. Extremely well equipped, and a personal welcome cream tea was a delightful surprise. Very accommodating for pets and great information provided for the surrounding sites and attractions. Would definitely stay again and highly recommend.
Once again, we've had a fabulous stay at Shenton Cottage, a place we genuinely consider our homefromhome in the beautiful Peak District. Jane and Steve are the perfect hosts they have thought of everything that might contribute to a memorable and restful stay. Nothing is overlooked. You can take advantage of the hot tub the minute you arrive as it is already heated up for you. Similarly, if you fancy settling down in front of a snug fire courtesy of the woodburning stove, it is already laid for your convenience you simply need to light it. We are really looking forward to our next stay in September. Keith & Elaine

Great place to stay . . everything we needed and more .. lovely scones and wine upon arrival .. only suggestion would be if more than one car stating next door that they didnt park outside number 15 where we were staying as we ended up parking in layby down the road and the rain was quiet bad so when leaving loading car to go out we got wetter than would have done if parked outside .. I know if it was me and had two cars I would respect the neighbours and one would have parked down the road
Had a lovely stay at Shenton Cottage! A yummy cream tea, bottle of wine & dog treats to greet us on our arrival. Spotlessly clean, well equipped & maintained by the owners Jane & Steve. A gorgeous garden with hot tub to enjoy. Very comfortable bed to get a great night's sleep. We hope to visit Buxton again & would definitely stay at Shenton Cottage again. Would highly recommend to everyone. Thank you
Superb cottage. Extremely clean and lovely hot tub. Great views over golf course. Lovely hosts. Highly rated.

Lovely cottage has everything you need and more. Lots of personal touches
Shenton Cottage is such a lovely place! Beautiful location, with just a short walk into Buxton Town centre. Gorgeous views of Derbyshire. The hot tub and log burner were very nice finishing touches. The house was decorated to a nice finish, and parking was easy just outside the home.
Amanda
It instantly felt warm, cosy and relaxing on entry. The cottage had everything you needed. Cleanliness was impeccable. Communication was excellent, there if you needed them. The welcome book had some recommendations of local attractions, food and suggestions for our stay. A credit to the owners. What a gem.
Denise
Stunning! So much thought has been given to this property, it goes beyond expectation. Warm welcome, beautiful accomodation, friendly helpful hosts. Highly recommend.
We thought Shenton Cottage was lovely, clean and very well equipped. The house was just what we were looking for, a comfortable base for us to explore the area . Beds were comfortable, and the layout of the house was excellent. We have two small dogs, who settled in well with a secure garden, and decent size kitchen. The hot tub was a lovely treat after a nice walk. Hospitality was fantastic, lovely welcome pack on arrival and fuel for the wood burner provided for the week. Thank you Jane and Steve.

Nice cottage, welcomed by a lovely cream tea , nicely decorated and nice finishing touches ,garden was not ideal for our dog as she likes space but lots of great countryside for walks. unfortunately did notice quite alot of traffic noise if sitting in lounge with tv off ,as cottage is situated near a busy road but overall one of the nicest cottages we have stayed in . Lovely stay thank you
Rachel
A lovely cottage, well maintained and thoughtfully presented. A really welcoming place to stay, with the added luxury of a hot tub and a wood burner to make the evenings cosy. Lovely decor and a well equipped kitchen. Just what we needed for a fabulous stay.
Joanna
We enjoyed a lovely week in Buxton and Shenton Cottage was the perfect place to stay. The cottage was spotlessly clean and in great condition with all the facilities we needed for our stay. The cream tea that greeted us on arrival was a lovely touch and most welcome. The cultural quarter was a twenty minute walk away and full of great pubs and restaurants, and surrounded by beautiful parks. I would recommend Shenton Cottage to anyone.
Allyson
This cottage is absolutely wonderful. Everything you could possibly need for a great holiday, presented stylishly and to a very high standard. We had a brilliant stay, a real home away from home. Buxton is also a great location to enjoy the Peak District.
We had an amazing stay, the cottage is in a great location to visit our family. The welcome tea and scones was perfect. The cottage was really clean and had everything we needed. The beds were great we slept really well. We made use of the hot tub every day which was the added luxury to make it a perfect break. We would highly recommend the property.
A lovely cottage with everything supplied. The scones and tea on arrival was welcome after a 4 hour drive and Jane and Steve were always on hand, when needed The hot tub was the best we had been in, both in terms of cleanliness and good strong jets. The cottage was well located to enable us to reach Kinder scout, Matlock, the Monsal trail and Dovedale within a short drive A definite little gem in Buxton.
Had a fabulous week at Shenton cottage. A real home from home comfort cottage. Cream tea on arrival was a welcome sight along with dog treats for the dogs! We used the hot tub every evening after a days walking. The cottage is just off busy road and there is some road noice but nothing that particular disturbed us. Would visit again in the future
Sharif
This was such a lovely home to stay in. The owner loves next door and keeps herself to herself, we didnt see them all week but were in hand via message if we needed anything. The property was perfect, a couple of little extra upon arrival too which was a lovely surprise. The cream tea on arrival was absolutely lovely too. Rest of the property was exactly how it is described and portrayed.
Another very relaxing week at Shenton. The cottage is well equipped and very clean. It has large, comfortable beds with very comfortable duvets a great log fire already laid for your arrival in the lounge a nice outside sitting area with a peaceful water feature which can be turned on or off as you choose an excellent and very well maintained private hot tub with trees, screens and a large canopystyle roof. We had no problem parking outside the cottage all week and last but not least the extra little touches provided by Jane and Steve, like beginning our holiday with a wonderful cream tea on arrival, are what make Shenton so special for us. We cannot recommend Shenton Cottage and its hosts highly enough and look forward to returning in the near future.
A really lovely cottage with super helpful and yet discrete owners next door. The cottage has everything you could need including a lovely hot tub to soak tired legs in after a long day walking. It is also well positioned for walking into town about a 20 minute walk or playing golf course across the road or walking on local footpaths. We did all of the above. A really super relaxing break!
