We had the most amazing time staying at Swinmoor House. We have stayed in varying properties for our annual girlie's trip and this property was just stunning! The decor was beautiful, the beds so comfortable, the games room fun and the hot tub just perfect! Joanna had provided us with details of a local mobile spa which we booked for our stay. We s hopped in Hereford which was approx 15-20 min drive away. A perfect balance of relaxation, fun with friends and shopping..what more could a girl want
Fiona
The perfect holiday home ! We wanted for nothing . Luxury but felt like a home too . Great for a large family group as plenty of space . The cinema room, hot tub and games room made it really special . The garden is beautiful even in November .
Tricia
Stunning house in a beautiful setting with wonderful views across the valley. We were a three generational group and it suited us perfectly. The games room and hot tub were particular favourites and very well used. The hosts could not have been more welcoming or helpful and we found plenty to do in the local area to entertain both the children and the adults. We visited during the Autumn but it is so comfortable and well equipped it would be ideal any time of year.
Sharon

Attention to detail here was brilliant and all the little touches like the games, walks, books, dog bowls etc greatly appreciated. Would have no hesitation in recommending Swinmoor to friends.

The owners could not have been morning welcoming and helpful. The property was everything we needed for a party of 10 (5 couples). It was well equipped and comfortable. There was real attention to detail. The hot tub was an unexpected pleasure!
Sandy
Swinmoor House was comfortable and spacious There was a well-equipped games room where we spent many happy hours. The cinema room and hot tub were other favourites. Clear nights allowed sky gazing and we had colourful sunsets over the Black Mountains. The house was the perfect base to visit surrounding attractions. We had fun celebrating 2 birthday s and a wedding anniversary. A bottle of champagne greeted us on arrival and Joanna was always available to answer questions. A perfect week.
Carol
10 of us stayed for a week in this beautiful house, Stunning views, plenty of space. We had fun and games as there was pool/table tennis, Darts plus a few other games. So whatever the weather there was always something to do. Hot tub on the patio with beautiful views. Owner and Housekeeper very accommodating.
Matthew
A perfect venue for 3 generation family holiday. Loads of space to spread out and very well equipped kitchen, with secure garden for 3 children under 5 years to race around. Everything was good quality with amply crockery (and picnic plates) for all our needs. Emails from Joanna before arriving made us feel very welcome as did a bottle of chilled c hampagne! Swinmoor is rural but Hereford is only about 20 minutes drive away. With young children and a heatwave we didn't bother.
Jayne
Amazing house, garden, view from the hot tub at sunset and games room . Everything you could wish for to make a memorable and special time ! Thanks to Joanna for being the perfect host ,helpful and attentive with little details . Can't wait to return in the future !
David
Swinmoor House is not a Holiday Cottage. It is a beautiful 5 bedroom property with games room, hot tub and every other beautiful bit of gorgeous furniture you could ever wish for. As you would expect it is not cheap but if you divide the weekly cost by the number of people it accommodates it is pretty good value per head. The only tiny negative is that whilst the location is stunning it is a bit of a distance from the major tourist areas, like Symonds Yat..
Nicola
Fantastic holiday home, elegantly furnished and luxurious. Really well equipped with lovely quality items and lots of space for all our family. Hot tub and gardens were amazing too. Games room was a huge success with us all. Some special touches such as provision of robes were much appreciated and the on demand ice from fridge/freezer was enjoyed a s we had fabulous weather. Good location for exploring Hereford and Hay on Wye, both great places. Would highly recommend, great place to stay.
Kerry
What an absolute stunning property, it has to be the nicest place weve ever stayed. Quality family time away from the stresses at home is just what we needed. We will definitely be back!!
Rob
Our family group have stayed in a lot of nice properties, but Swimoor tops the lot! Wonderful living space with great views and Joanna is the perfect host
Katherine
Swinmoor House and annexe are in a lovely peaceful location., with plenty of walks on your doorstep. The house was well equipped with everything you need. The games room was fantastic for the younger members of the family. The dogs enjoyed staying there too whilst keeping an eye on the sheep grazing in their field opposite the house! We will defini tely be booking to stay here again in the future.
Lorraine
This is a beautiful property in a stunning location. There is plenty of options available for family and friends to enjoy quality time together - whether this is in the games room, watching a film, or gazing out at the amazing views - and also enough space to enjoy some quieter time for individual activities. We were well looked after by the very f riendly and attentive team that manage the house and gardens In summary we would highly recommend this property for a memorable holiday.
Rebecca
Such a comfortable, stylish and well equipped house for celebrating two thirtieth birthdays with three generations. Lovely area with lots to do and great places for eating out. It was stormy during our stay but the main lounge is gorgeously snug with the log burner and we even managed to relax in the hot tub. Joanna was excellent at communicating a t all stages. The separate cottage was a real bonus. Wish wed had longer.
Alice
We had a perfect weekend at Swinmoor House and couldnt recommend it more highly. We had an age range from 88 to 14 months and the house provided everything we needed and much more - blissful hot tub, brilliant games room, plenty of room for quiet relaxation. Incredibly comfortable beds and the chicest furnishings and decor - like staying in a bouti que hotel but with the privacy and freedom to relax. Joanna and Paul were amazing, unobtrusive hosts and couldnt have looked after us better.
Jeanette
Everything about Swinmoor House is top quality and second to none. The owner, Joanne, and her team are always available to ensure that you have everything you need, are incredibly helpful and nothing is too much trouble. The house, gardens and surroundings are simply stunning and the standard of everything in the house is exceptionally high. We sta yed at Swinmoor for my husbands surprise birthday weekend and it was definitely the best place we have ever stayed. In short, perfect relaxation
Francesca
A magical Christmas at Swinmoor House! A truly spectacular week with my family of 8 and two dogs. From the moment we got there on the 22nd of December our Christmas began. We walked in to find the house beautifully Christmas decorated with two bottles of champagne to greet us! Throughout the week Joanna was quick to respond to any queries we had ev en though it was Christmas! We loved everything about this stay but especially the hot tub, games room and cinema room. Thank You Again x
Anne
The cottage was perfect. It had everything we required and was furnished to a very high comfortable specification. We felt very rested from our visit. The location was great, and we walked every day from the door enjoying fabulous walks. We would really recommend this amazing house.
Ian
An exceptional property in a fantastic location with plenty to do to keep all the generations entertained. Swinmoor House provided the perfect base for a family holiday, the house is very tastefully and stylishly decorated and feels like staying in a boutique hotel. It is well equipped with seemingly every need thought of. If you can drag yourself from the comfort of the house, there are great walks on the doorstep or a short drive away and also for trips into the many interesting local towns.
Praise
It truly exceeded our expectations and honestly will be a memory myself and my guests will cherish forever. From the initial engagement with the host to arriving at the property, the whole process was seamless and Joanna helped organise some additional, personal elements to our stay. The property was clean, very spacious and very well thought out! It was a pleasure and a privilege to be able to celebrate a milestone birthday in this property. Thank you!
julie
we had a wonderful stay at Swinmoor House, nothing disappointed...we were 6 adults and 2 dogs and each of us enjoyed the stay for different reasons. the house itself was just beautiful and roomy and so many special touches included like champagne on arrival and doggy biscuits for the dogs. every room had a different vibe and was just beautiful. we contacted Joanna, the owner a few times, even though her manual on arrival was so well worded and informative, and she always responded immediately.
Anthony
Swinmoor House is a truly stunning property and grounds. On arrival you soon realise you are at a special place. The property is immaculate and high spec while retaining its rural charm. We had 6 adults, 2 children and 3 dogs and never felt cramped. The location is breathtaking, I could sit and gaze out at the views and lose track of time. You can tell the owners put pride and passion into the property, it shows with every aspect. There was nothing that didn't feel perfect. Thank you!
Tracie
We were a party of 9 adults (& 3 dogs) seeking a luxurious retreat - Swinmoor House (& annex) did not disappoint! Every room was either en-suite or had a personal bathroom to assign; the linens, towels & gowns were quality - each room had a stunning view! The house was full of character and has been expertly decorated and designed with attention to every detail for guest pleasure - superbly comfortable! The games room was a bonus, as was the swing but the view from the hot tub was sublime!
LISA
The cottage exceeded our expectations and Jo the owner is very friendly and helpful. Nothing was too much trouble! We found the accommodation to be comfortable and spacious even with 8 of us and 3 dogs. Walks from the house were ok but better to drive somewhere close by for some spectacular walks for the dogs. There is a a wonderful londis with a p etrol station, that to be honest you would drive by but DON'T.. its a great local shop full of local meats etc. well worth a visit
