Conquer Hall Reviews

Great cottage and location, good communication with the owner. We will definitely visit again
Brilliant
As the title says it was brilliant. Very spacious and clean had everything you could need. Hot tub was great loved everything about it. Would highly recommend to anybody.
Our happy place
8 lovely ladies who holiday every year as a group. Stayed here for a long weekend. Can't recommend highly enough. Host very attentive and available at all times.. accommodation is of Such high standard we can't believe anyone could give any negative feedback. Welcome pack was such a lovely thought which was unexpected. Fresh flowers gave a beautiful scented welcome. We could go on..... however all that needs to be said is we can't wait for our next visit
Rural cottage in delightful rolling countryside
Series of cottages expertly merged into one four bedroom, three bathroom dwelling. Fittings of a very high standard, well equipped, and scrupulously clean. Rear garden fairly narrow, but very neat and tidy, containing barbecue, hot tub, and outdoor seating; overlooking pastureland, with views up to Montgomery and surrounding hills. We played an interesting game of boules, which a herd of cows came to watch! Unfortunately they brought flies, which were a nuisance, and caused us to keep all windows shut. Kitchen is equipped with an electric insect trap. Although the location is rural, the property is immediately adjacent to the road, and light traffic was sometimes too fast for comfort. However, the garden is fully enclosed and safe for children. If there was a minor niggle it would be that the ground floor bedroom was at the opposite end of the property to the shower/ toilet, which meant a trek through the lounge and kitchen. Having said that, the property is very well equipped with quality fittings, and this is the nicest location we have rented by far. The welcome pack was superb, and the owner was very attentive, and deserves full marks. We will return.

Wonderful cottage, our 3rd visit back to Conquer Hall and we will be booking a 4th. Beautiful surroundings, cosy cottage with everything you need.
Excellent cottage very comfortable and warm. Beautiful views from every window and well equipped. We really enjoyed our visit. Located in an interesting area with plenty to do and many pubs cafes etc.
Had the most amazing stay could not fault the cottage was perfect in every way.
The cottage exceeded our expectations. It was tastefully decorated, spotlessly clean and very well maintained. The adjoining garden and surrounding countryside was beautiful. We absolutely loved it and cant wait to go again.

We spent a fabulous 5 days at the cottage, we arrived to a lovely welcome pack flowers, eggs, tea, coffee, sugar, milk and Prosecco. The hot tub was perfect to come back to after wandering around the local area and days out. The owners communication was great, the cottage was warm, clean and very well equipped everything we needed for a comfortable stay. Its ideally placed to visit a wide variety of attractions and we will most definitely visit again. Thank you
Tracey
This is a lovely property. Spacious, clean, comfortable. Love the separate staircases ! Great hot tub. Well located. Perfect enclosed garden for the dog even though she took objection to the cows.Heartily recommend it.
Rachel
The garden was beautiful, with lovely views and very secure for our dog. The hot tub was amazing, but perhaps a canopy would be of benefit as because of the rain we never really got chance to use it. The only reason I didn't give full marks for comfort was because a couple of the mattresses were very softlumpy, otherwise this place is lovely.
Beautiful cottage situated in a quiet location with stunning views of MontgomeryHenDomen and surrounding areas. Well equipped for the perfect getaway and the owner is very friendlyhelpful on hand if you require. Suits all types of holidays as everything is accessible walks, activities, historic, transport, tourist attractions or just the perfect way to relax and unwind in the hot tub. We enjoyed our multi generational break for a birthday celebration very much, thank you.
Beautiful well equipped cottage in an idyllic location & the hottub was amazing. First time our little Cavapoo has not managed to escape as the enclosed garden is so secure if you keep the gate closed to the extended area The local village has everything you need & everyone is so friendly. Nice little market on Thursdays. Loads of places to visit in the area. Powis Castle & gardens well worth a visit. Great food & dog friendly places to eat at The Nags Head & The Horseshoes Inn. We will definitely be returning to this beautiful part of Wales.

Lovely cottage, well equipped, clean and comfortable. Welcome pack of milk, eggs, flowers , teabags and coffee were a nice touch. Towels and bedding smell so fresh. Hot tub is great watching the bats dart past at night, and being watched by the cows during the day
A sheer delight. Beautifully adapted building in glorious countryside, and with the benefit of a superb hot tub thrown in. The owners were very helpful and their welcoming gifts received very gratefully.
A delightful place to have a peaceful break. First time we have been to a holiday home with a hot tub whereby the tub was up to temperature upon arrival. Lovely welcome treats left that was much appreciated. Extremely clean with lovely modern bathrooms. Loads of outdoor garden for our dog to explore. Excellent communication with property owner. Will return in the future Im sure.
A beautiful property in a lovely location, great views. An excellent layout for a party of seven. Spotlessly clean and well equipped. Well kept and very pretty large garden, ideal for the dog. The hot tub was a luxury, and easy to use. Contact with the owner was very good, friendly and helpful.
Charlotte
Spotless, extremely comfortable and well laid out for a large group. Hot tub was fantastic. Owner communication excellent and friendly. We really enjoyed Powis Castle and Montgomery
Great cottage for getting together with family, had everything you need, hot tub was fantastic. Enclosed garden ideal for dogs, great location for exploring Powis, Shropshire and Herefordshire. Welcome pack a great addition too, so handy when you arrive.
Heather
What a beautiful cottage, in a fabulous location. 5 of us had a long weekend and were very lucky with sunny weather. The cottage is in a lovely, quiet location but very handy for Montgomery which is a quaint little village nearby. Great pub, tea room and fish and chop shop too. The cottage is very spacious and well appointed and the hot tub is a great addition, lively to sit in as the sun went down with a view of Montgomery Castle. The beds were very comfy. Would have been good to have a full size dishwasher particularly as the cottage sleeps 9 maximum, we had it on after every meal as it was so small.
Amazing place, spotless and in a perfect location. 8 of us stayed and we had plenty of room.
I cannot say enough good things about this beautiful cottage. We spent the weekend there to celebrate my Mom's 70th Birthday and it was gorgeous. The bedrooms were comfortable, the kitchen was so well equipped, the lounge was cosy and comfy and the views are just stunning. We cannot wait to return, thank you for making our weekend extra special x
Brilliant few days away. This cottage offered everything you need clean, spacious, comfy beds and the hot tub was another great touch. Will deffo look to return next year.
Lesley
A large spacious property with excellent amenities. Very comfortable beds & fitments seem to be very new . Welcome pack very useful
Michael
Beautifully furnished, spotlessly clean, very spacious and comfortable. A lovely location that is very peaceful and quiet. On arrival there was a beautiful vase of fresh flowers, free range eggs and a welcoming bottle of Prosecco on the table, little touches that were much appreciated and indicative of the level of care and attention to detail shown by the owners. Ten out of ten!
Gordon
Beautiful cottage and garden. There was everything we needed to make a good holiday. Well equipped with utensils, crockery, hand wash and many other things we did not expect. We were left lots of goodies including a bottle of Prosecco and a dozen fresh farm eggs plus other things which were much appreciated. The owner was very helpful when our car battery went flat and brought us an extension lead and charger. Would certainly stay there again.
The cottage was absolutely lovely, the hot tub was a great focus and we enjoyed a lovely bbq. We had a sunny walk in to Montgomery which was charming, all in all a fabulous cottage in a very good location.
Superb place to stay and made very welcome by the owners. Plenty of room for 8 of us and everything was to a high standard. Will return. Thanks
Yasmin
Very nice cottage with everything you need for a home from home stay! The beds were super comfy and the hot tub was enjoyed by all. The dogs loved the large garden and enjoyed walks in the surrounding area. The cottage was very clean on arrival, and the owner kindly maintained the hot tub throughout our stay. There is plenty to see in nearby villages and towns, so the cottage is a good base to explore the local area.
Conquer Hall honestly exceeded our expectations, inside, outside and location. It was spotlessly clean, beautiful kept and maintained. Something that was noted by all 8 guests was the clean smell of washing softener on the bed clothes a small detail but worth mentioning. On arrival we received a welcome basket of some basic essentials such as coffee, tea, sugar, cookies and even a dozen free range eggs along with a welcome card from the letting family. Thoughtful details like these are much appreciated. We had an amazing, relaxing time here with nothing we could want for to make the stay any more pleasureable. I met one of the owners Russells Dad
Andrew
Conquer Hall was perfect for our visit. We were a family group of 8 adults and we had everything we needed. Highly Recommended. The cottage was immaculately presented, there was plenty of space and were very comfortable throughout. With two of the group with slight mobility issues it was extremely handy that there was a ground floor bedroom and bathroom. The kitchen area was wonderfully sized, with the ability to socialise there or in the adjourning room where comfy seats were to be found. The bedrooms were all of a good size with comfortable beds. One thing to note is that the ceilings are not the highest and two of our group were over 64 and they needed to be careful, particularly on the top floor however this did not detract from the stay in any way. We used the hot tub and were reassured with its cleanliness as it was checked every morning and on the morning of our departure it was thoroughly cleaned for the next guests. The cottage is in a fantastic location, with stunning views from every window. The outside sitting areas and gardens were also very well presented. An ideal base for exploring the surroundings, we travelled to Barmouth Beach, National Trust properties and took advantage of some recommended walking routes too. Easily space for three cars to park, and also for any EV drivers there is an outside plug socket for you to connect a granny cable to if you bring an extension cable.
Great stay, for a very relaxing 5 days. The cottage is very cosy and comfortable. The garden area was great for our dog. The kids loved the hot tub and swings.
This property is for 8 persons, who could all be adults, the lack of height in the doorways, stairways and landingsbedrooms can be challenging to tall people. Again for 8 adults more cooking utensils, crockery, cutlery needs to be provided. Beautiful views quiet countryside and gem of the town of Montgomery. Dishwasher size was too small for the property. The hot tub is a great facility, I would go back again.
