Noah
Lovely cottage with amazing view. Owner was lovely and very helpful. Would recommend 100%.

Amazing cottage, everything you can need is there. About a 15-20 minute drive to anything (which is what we wanted). Beds are really comfy and for an old cottage it is extremely warm. Very spacious too, with the two bedrooms at either end of the cottage, it gave us all our own privacy. Lots of board games provided and the log fire was delightful. Madocs Barn is a great place to stay if you want peace and quiet to relax, the accommodation is lovely and the scenery is great. Anyone that likes walking would love this area as you could literally walk miles and never bump into anyone. The owner (Moira) is lovely and a great help.

Beautiful property inside and out. Underfloor heating kept everywhere warm and the fire was a bonus. Truly dog proof garden which for owners of a fence jumping jack russell is a major advantage to enable us to relax! Fantastic - everything you could want for a relaxing holiday. We spent a very relaxing week at Madoc's Barn. It was exceptionally well equipped in terms of crockery, kitchenware and cutlery. There were books and DVDs for our use which was a nice touch. The remoteness just made you switch off and totally relax. The hot tub was welcome after a day out exploring. Plenty of places to go that were not too far in tRead morehe car. Our dog loved sheep watching as they walked past the front of the barn each morning. All in all a great holiday. Hide

We had a nice relaxing few days at the Barn, the situation is lovely.. nestled in a christmas tree plantation with stunning views. Very peaceful and wonderful dark skies for stargazing. Loved the hot tub and firepit. It's a long way to the pub, we drove, as the roads are narrow and bendy. The barn is gorgeous - some furniture a little dated and the mattresses are sprung rather than memory foam. Nice log burner and under floor heating in parts. Worked well for 2 friends as we had privacy.
David
We had a great time
Jessica
Lovely property for a countryside stay. Actually dog friendly and garden completely secure! We took 2 German shepherds who absolutely loved it! Stunning views. Amazing.

An absolutely beautiful location, we loved our break away from everything, so peaceful with stunning views . Moira was so welcoming and not at all intrusive. When we return to this area Madocs Barn is definitely the place we will stay.
Jane
The most idyllic and peaceful location with elevated position and incredible views! A wonderful week in a wonderful property. Just what we needed and more!!
Sophie
We enjoyed a wonderful getaway at this cottage. The beds are really comfy and the mezzanine bedroom was a great addition which felt more private than sharing a regular bedroom with someone! It was lovely to be surrounded by gorgeous countryside, very quiet and relaxing. Hot tub was a lot of fun and thankfully not overlooked, so felt very private.
Elizabeth
The cottage sits in a lovely position with fantastic views, its a lovely size and the underfloor heating was much appreciated by people and dogs. Sitting in the hot tub, sipping Prosecco, while looking at the stars was magical.
Stephen
The cottage is in a lovely remote location great for a weekend get away. Everything we needed was provided and we had a great stay. The views from the cottage are fantastic and the gardens are secure so our dog could spend plenty of time outside watching the sheep go by.
Jessica
Wow, what an amazing place. The area is quiet and secluded, the cottage comes equipped with a hot tub, fire pit, log burner and WiFi, which was exactly what we needed for a relaxing get away. It was just the two of us, but there is plenty of room to comfortably visit with more people. Just looking for a reason to come back!
Jacqui
We had a great stay, enhanced by lovely February weather. Everything about the barn worked really well. We were two couples and two dogs. Moira, the owner, lives next door and is super helpful and not intrusive. She leant us some walk books, and even looked after our elderly dog for a day when we were out. Highly recommend a stay here
Sarah
Lovely barn in a picturesque location, lovely and quiet. Loads of places to visit around the area and the owner Moira is lovely and very welcoming and informative.
John
We had an amazing stay at Madocs Barn. The property was stunning with amazing views of the country side. There were amazing hiking trails on our doorstep and the local pub was great to visit for drinks and food
Sarah
Just got back from a week at Madocs Barn with my husband and two dogs. The cottage was perfect, clean and cosy. We ordered a Tesco shop to arrive for our arrival between 4&5pm. The delivery arrived earlier before we had and the owner so kindly took our shopping in and put it all away for us. We were so appreciative. We purchased the All Trails App and found plenty of walks to explore. So after a long day of hiking the hot tub was very inviting. Lovely to relax and watch the stars.
Kay
We love Madocs Barn and Moria is so lovely and helpful! She left the Christmas Tree up for our stay as a request! I'm in ministry in the Church, and Christmas is a very busy time! Going to Madocs Barn was our Christmas get away after Christmas, it was a well needed retreat. Every thing we needed was at Madocs Barn and would love to return!
Chris
Absolutely stunning property, the underfloor heating is a genius edition and the interior is beautifully presented. The barn contained everything you could ever need for a stay and we couldn't have wished for more.
Razier
The cottage was absolutely beautiful- perfect location - we met Moira whilst out on a walk and she was a delight to meet - more than accommodating and always willing to help - thank you for helping make the weekend so memorable xxx
Jeff
Stunning. A very warming, comfy and spacious cottage. Privacy guaranteed but Moira was very knowledgeable and helpful when asked about local places to go and walks to take the dog. Sitting in the hot tub stiring at the starry sky was the cherry on the cake. Would definitely visit again.
Amy
Brilliant property and grounds with loads of character. A great place to totally relax and enjoy time with the family. We recommend the 5mile circular walk from The Radnorshire Arms where you can get some great views of the barn from the other side of the valley.
Paul
Superb cottage. Very Clean, great kitchen, comfy beds, unbelievable view. Lovely area for dog walks. Moira was very helpful when needed. Will return no need to say anymore.
Sheila
Beautifully furnished, and well equipped. Completely out in the middle of nowhere, with village shop about a mile away . Nearest town with supermarket and lovely park for walking dogs about 20mins. Sheep right outside the front gate so for dogs it's a must to be on lead. But this not a problem as cottage garden is completely dog proof.
Rae
For a peaceful holiday you couldnt find anywhere better. Beautiful views. The owner Moira was delightful if she would offer some home cooked meals it would be perfect, as it was a long way to nearest restaurants, but apart from its isolation you couldnt fault it. My Son will definitely be back to try out all the nearby walks.
Rose
Beautiful peaceful location. Well equipped and comfortable. We hope to return.
Sam

He's just come back from a absolutely fabulous holiday. If you want complete peace and quiet and privacy. There probably won't be anywhere better than this. You drive through a Christmas tree farm to get to the property. The property has everything you would need including a hot tub.
Karen
We had a wonderful time at the cottage and we all thoroughly enjoyed our relaxing weekend, especially in the hot tub.
Katie
Cottage was perfect and Moira was an excellent host. We loved our week at Madocs barn and would highly recommend it. The views are spectacular and plenty to do in the surrounding area, our children loved Ludlow castle. The Christmas trees were a great place to let the dog of his lead and he loved chasing Moiras puppy around them! The cottage had ev erything we needed and was very comfortable and cosy, 10/10 from us!
Helen
We had a lovely stay at Madoc's Barn over the Easter weekend, very peaceful and beautiful surroundings. The hot tub is a lovely treat and very welcome after a game of tennis at the local community courts! A trip to Ludlow to the market and visit the castle made a great day out and a fabulous Sunday Roast at the Horse and Jockey in Knighton is to be recommended. The house is very well equipped and a great place to stay.
Michelle
What a lovely place to stay! The barn was well equipped and very homely. The views were amazing and we loved waking up to the sheep and lambs each morning. It was also incredibly peaceful and quiet. The barn is in the middle of nowhere but we easily found our way around to visit local sites of interest.
Nikki
A wonderfully equipped cottage nestled between fields of Christmas trees. Beautiful spacious interior with plenty of room for you and your four-legged friends. We thoroughly enjoyed our break and will certainly be back to explore the commons and wilder surroundings. Thank you, Moira!
