Fields Farm Reviews

Large property perfect for large family gathering. Very well equipped Highly recommend
We've had an absolutely fantastic stay, the home is so beautiful, the pictures don't do it justice! And you're completely private, it was just absolutely gorgeous! Thank you so much for the generous basket at the start of our stay, with the added touch of a turkey tray knowing that we were planning a late Xmas dinner! It was so lovely!!
Heather
We found the property to be exceptional. The rooms were beautiful and spacious, the beds were comfy, the whole place was spotlessly clean. The kitchen was really well equipped for large groups and the stair gates, travel cot and highchair provided was a brilliant addition. Wed love to come back again and finally get to use the hot tub and explore the grounds a bit more. One tiny note I forgot to mention is we had a power cut in the high winds but we found the electric box and rebooted and it was all fine. It was only the lights in the kitchen and dining room that was affected and we fixed it within about ten mins so not a problem! The weather was really bad that night!
Gorgeous cottage for a Christmassy weekend away with friends thank you!
Sylvia
What a beautiful house. A lovely welcome gift of wine, milk, orangejuice, butter, bread and a lovely homemade cake. Plenty of room for our pre Christmas weekend. Each bedroom was large and beds were really comfy. We will certainly be back.
Brilliant place. With so much space. Great hot tub. The place is very spacious and we could.not have asked for more.
We had a wonderful stay here, the house was spacious enough for all 10 of us, of various ages, to be together comfortably, the two sitting rooms allowed us to either spend time together or apart. Lots of board games and also some outside games are supplied which the children loved. The bedrooms are all beautifully decorated with quality bedding. In the kitchen is an Aga which we all fell in love with after viewing it with some trepidation! The kitchen is well stocked with everything you could possibly want in the way of crockery, cutlery, glasses, ovenware and utensils. On arrival the owner provided a generous welcome pack which was very much appreciated after a long journey. This was one of the best holiday rental cottages we have ever stayed in.
Honestly couldnt fault our stay here, Fiona and her husband were so attentive, nothing was to much trouble for them and it was so nice that they came every morning to sort the hot tub. The little touches such as the cake, milk, bread and butter that was there ready for us when we arrived was such a nice surprise. They think of all the little things to help you have the most perfect stay and for a group of 12 girls it was perfect, hoping to make it an annual thing and we will deffo be returning.
Alexandra
The pictures don't do it justice! A beautiful property in wonderful surroundings. A wonderful time was had by all and were so lucky with the weather. Thank you
A lovely property, ideal for bringing branches of the family together. Everything was clean and tidy. The garden and the hot tub meant we could happily potter around without going out everyday I think well be back!
We had a lovely stay at this property. When we arrived the house was clean and exactly as described. Fiona had left a welcome basket on the side which was a lovely addition, the cake was lovely! The hot tub was enjoyed by all. We had 10 adults and 3 children and still felt like we had plenty off space. The location is great, we would definitely recommend anyone to come and stay here! We met Fiona, Martin and Jacob one off their sons and they were all lovely and friendly.
Such a wonderful property! ! There were 11 adults & 2 little ones but the space great that we did not feel on top of one another there was everything that you could need & with Cheadle town a five minute drive it was no bother to get supplys in! We loved our week at Fields Farm! The beautiful setting was a joy to wake up to there was really no need to venture out if you didn't wish to the hot tub was an absolute winner especially on the one day we had rain! The plenty hot tub towels were well used! Our hosts Fiona & Martin were delightful truly lovely people a wonderful welcome pack which included homemade jam & a homebaked cake was so kind Little visits from Martin to take care of the hot tub were welcome & we had some lovely chats. The surrounding areas of North Staffs. are wonderful the Churnet Valley Steam Railway was a highlight!! We really did not want to leave & were sad to go home. Would highly recommend Fields Farm to anybody & we hope we can make time to visit this property again in the future. Thankyou Fiona & Martin good luck with the harvest!
Kathleen
Absolutely loved this place! Great location, loads of space, beautiful gardens. Hot tub was a hit. The whole place was so clean. We'd love to come back.

Fields Farm couldn't have been better for a gathering of the clan for a wedding held nearby. The house was spacious, comfortable, impeccably clean and even with twelve of us staying it never felt overcrowded. There was plenty to do during the ensuing week, with games and hot tub provided, a barbecue we cooked in the rain and lovely gardens with beautiful views of Staffordshire. The owners were on hand to help with a couple of hot tub queries and responded really quickly. We highly recommend the farm house as ideal for a family gathering. It was wonderful to sit around the huge dining table for our evening meal so many happy family memories were made.
Christine
So pleased we booked Fields Farm. It is an amazing property, beautifully maintained and managed by Fiona our host. It had everything we needed. Every room is delightfully decorated and furnished for ultimate comfort and relaxation. The hot tub and surrounding area was spotlessly clean as were all the rooms. A nice touch were the towels exclusively for use around the hot tub in addition to towels for the bathroom. A generous welcome package was in the kitchen on arrival including a home made cake. There are three lounges and a large dining room giving plenty of space to spread out if required, The large well kept garden is lovely to wander around and there are also a couple of cosy seating areas to sit and take in the views across the fields..The hares on the lawn were a great attraction. Will certainly recommend it to everyone looking for a large holiday house with or without children.
The pictures do not do this place justice! Absolutely incredible stay. The most relaxing and beautifully put together place. They have thought of everything!
We had an incredible weekend! The house is just perfect. Spacious, clean, a variety of areas to socialise including the huge garden! Fiona was so helpful on the run up to the booking and answers all my questions. We ran out of washing up liquid during the stay which was quickly resolved. Would definitely come back it was amazing.
From start to finish we had the BEST time here. 11 ladies celebrating a hen, a 30th, 50th and 60th. Loved the little welcome gifts, such a personal touch.. Spacious property beautifully furnished dressed. Tons of room for everything we had planned. Cooking on an AGA was a challenge I mastered and great fun! Well stocked kitchen with every pot pan and utensil you could possibly want. Bonus hot tub towels provided. Outside space fab and we were so lucky with the weather. We will be back for sure as we disnt want to come home
We had a wonderful stay at Fields Farm, everything was perfect, clean, ... We had a wonderful stay at Fields Farm, everything was perfect, clean, comfortable, spacious and friendly, 10 of us stayed and all had a great time
This property is absolutely STUNNING. The views are incredible and its maintained to such a high standard. The owners were really helpful and went out of their way to help us, especially with looking for lost items left behind. I really could not fault Fields Farm at all and would recommend it to anyone. We are already planning on making it an annual trip!
A lovely quiet location. It was an ideal place to celebrate a 70th birthday with close family. The grandchildren loved the spacious garden and the hot tub was ideal. The house is perfect for large parties with plenty of room and has everything you need. A lovely welcome pack with some added extras for Easter. Fiona and Martin are available for any unforeseen problems and very quick to solve any issues. Can't wait for the next get together.
Deborah
A truly outstanding holiday home The photos on website do not do it justice. It is spacious, beautifully presented and maintained, spotlessly clean and quite luxurious. The owners were very responsive to the boiler tripping on the first day and called around immediately and solved the problem. The welcome pack was fab and had a lovely homemade sponge cake, milk, butter, eggs bread, fresh orange juice and a bottle of wine. The house has a massive dining room for eating together and board games etc leads out to the covered hot tub and patio arena. Additional towels provided At the far end a cosy stag themed lounge with wood burner. Another beautiful lounge with window seats in the middle. The kitchen a cooks delight here! Equipment included were all of the correct size for a 12 person property, including slow cooker, blender, scales and pots and pans galore. The top floor also boasts yet another lounge between two bedrooms with comfy seating and flat screen TV. Lots of space linking the rooms The farm is situated in the middle of fields with stunning views and even a footballplay area. Several outdoor sitting areas to watch the sun go down. An ideal house for a large group. We would thoroughly recommend. I would definitely visit again. Thanks for a lovely stay
Charlotte
Absolutely amazing and couldnt recommend this place enoughIf I could give 10 stars I would. We booked fields farm for my hen do and it was amazing. Youre not disturbing anyone as the place has no nearby neighbours which is amazing. We didnt think we would be able to go due to the snowfall we had but Fiona was super helpful, kept us updated and thankfully we were able to go. The only thing I would recommend is to update the photos as these photos do not to this place any justiceit looks like its on a main road on the main photo but its not. Super happy with our stay and would definitely go back
We had the best time at Fields Farm Oven space was a bit tight but we managed a sunday roast for 13 of us, just took a little longer than usual. One thing we would love to see would be a sofa bed in the communal area on the 3rd floor as this would help us with bed space for next time. Thank you to Fiona, the host who helped us out when the boiler tripped. Fixed in no time. A great amount of space for friends and families to come together but equally be able to have some quiet time. The outdoor space is also amazing! Thanks you for everything.
Matthew
Beautiful house in nice quiet surroundings. Owners were lovely and helpful and were able to solve the issues we had quickly and easily. More than enough room for all of us.
Nicola
We had a lovely time at Fields Farm. The property was great, and we liked that the bedrooms were all evenly sized so no one was shorted with their room! The multiple lounges were great for with the kids, as well as the dining table being in the extension so we didnt disturb them in the evenings. The outside space was great and the outlook over the fields was beautiful. Hot tub was well maintained and lovely and warm. The property is well connected by car, but on foot there are limited foot paths so just something to keep in mind with kids. We would visit again
A really outstanding holiday home. The photos and listing do not do it justice. It is spacious, beautifully presented and maintained, spotlessly clean and quite luxurious. The owners were very welcome and responsive to queries during our stay. The welcome pack was fab and had a lovely homemade sponge cake, milk, butter, eggs and a bottle of wine. I would definitely visit again. Thanks for a lovely stay
Following a wonderful stay at fields farm, we could not recommend this enough. Perfect for a group of friends, as we are, or for an extended family stay. Nothing was too much trouble and the facilities were exactly as advertised. Surrounded by beautiful countryside and walks. The welcome gifts and decorations for our celebrations were the icing on the cake. Thankyou fiona and martin.
Gordon
A simply excellent property for a group or family stay. Fiona and Martin were perfect hosts and always on hand to help out with anything we needed. Book your stay, you will not be disappointed.
Great cottage, super support from the owners as well. Would highly recommend.
The house was wonderful,on its own in the middle of fields but close to amenities. So peaceful. So much space for 6 adults and 4 very energetic grandchildren. We were celebrating our golden wedding and we made some very special memories. The house was beautifully decorated for Christmas & we were allowed to decorate it ourselves for the anniversary.Fiona had left us a card & cake plus other goodies.Thank you much appreciated.Would have no hesitation in recommending Fields Farm.
Christina
Absolutely amazing from start to finish. House was beautiful and clean, and the cake, balloons etc was a lovely surprise. Thank you for making my daughters 18th so special
We had an absolutely fantastic stay at Fields Farm. The property comfortably housed 8 adults and 2 children with ease. The rooms were spacious and the house was immaculate. Fiona and Martin were lovely hosts and came to the rescue with our last minute booking. We're already planning a break for next year!
Elizabeth
Our group of eight friends had the most wonderful stay at Fields Farm. The house was beautiful, clean, spacious and comfortable. The hosts had left us a delicious welcome pack including homemade treats and the outside of the house was beautifully decorated with pumpkins for Halloween. We felt loved from the moment we arrived! The property is so flexible at one end of the house a massive dining room for eating together and board games etc leads out to the covered hot tub and patio arena. Additional towels provided At the far end a cosy stag themed lounge with wood burner. Another beautiful lounge with window seats in the middle with serving hatch access to the fabulous spacious kitchen. A cooks delight here! Equipment included a hostess tray, slow cooker, blender, scales and pots and pans galore. The top floor also boasts yet another lounge between two bedrooms with comfy seating and flat screen TV. The farm is situated in the middle of fields with stunning views and even a football area for any sport fans. An ideal house for a large group, the hosts communication was spot on and so helpful. We would thoroughly recommend.
Christine
We stayed at Fields Farm to celebrate my 70th Birthday with family and friends. It was perfect . The property is lovely with beautiful bedrooms. The owners were most welcoming. Martin and Fiona were lovely, nothing was a problem to them. We would definitely stay again and will recommend this property to others. I take away wonderful memories of our stay, thank you.
Jordan
What a lovely little gem we found here! We had a fabulous time away for my husbands 30th and the owner Fiona was nothing but a accommodating and friendly! She kindly decorated the cottage balloons, banners etc for our arrival along with the most amazing welcome hamper with a birthday badge, candles and a gorgeous sponge cake all of which was a lovely and personal touch. Fiona was on hand to recommend a Chinese take away close by and also recommended the Red Lion at boundry for Sunday lunch which was amazing staff were friendly and welcoming and the food was delicious! This was just 5 minutes down the road from the accommodation. The cottage smelt amazing upon arrival and was cleaned to a high standard. Beds were super comfy. The log fire in the far lounge was where the adults chilled in the evening and it was our favourite spot with the fire when the kids had gone to bed! Our only reason for a 4 star instead of 5 is it was a little tired in some areas. Such as paintwork peeling. Bathrooms could of used a bit of tlc. The buttons on the oven had rubbed off so we didnt know which setting was which, and the hot tub had a fault after our first evening. However once reported to Fiona she sent someone straight over to check the hot tub twice but the fault remained so we only used the hot tub once which was a shame. This shouldnt put you off booking nor would it put me off booking again. We had an amazing time and if youre looking for somewhere to stay thats quiet, tranquil and a drive away from lots of fun activities then this is the place for you! Thank you Fiona! We will be back!
Gorgeous place would not hesitate to book again photos didn't do it justice Hit tub Brilliant.
Robbie
We had an amazing time lovely and chilled. Brilliant service too we had a mishap with the hot tub and someone was straight out to look at it late at night. Definitely would recommend, and definitely will be back I don't feel the pictures do the house justice.. everything was so much better in reality.
Debbie
Perfect! Everything was amazing. We couldn't have a chosen anywhere better to stay. Our hosts were extremely helpful and when we arrived we had been provided with very thoughtful welcome gifts including butter, bread, eggs, a beautiful homemade cake and lots of other items. The house was clean and very welcoming and we are definitely planning a return visit.
Michael
Really lovely holiday home perfect for a large family. Plenty of space to spend time together and enough living space to have a bit of a break from each other . Really well equipped, the owners seemed to have thought of everything. We are hoping to return in the future for another holiday.
