Everything was perfect, and the owners were incredibly helpful. Sticky toffee sponge which we ordered from the owner was delicious!
Hollydale is just stunning. The views and location are wonderful and the property and everything within could not be faulted. Giles and Jo have thought of everything. It is very well equipped and the small touches are just fab. Our family of 8 had a wonderful time and we definitely want to return.
Our second time with 8 adults and a dog. We all love it here at Hollydale. The facilities are brilliant and the house is really well equiped. We spent most of our time playing games eating and enjoying the hot tub Jo is a great cook and I would recommend the meal and Signature treacle steamed pudding. We will be returning.

Stayed at HollyDale with family for my dad's 60th. 6 adults and 2 dogs. The house and grounds where amazing. Everything has been thought. We enjoyed the games room and hot tub daily and the outdoor sitting area is heated so we even got to enjoy it in all weather with the lovely views Couldn't fault the property or the owners and didn't want to come home. What an amazing week
Comfortable country living. From the moment you arrive you feel immersed in the countryside, surrounded by space and scenery. All weather outdoor facilities supplement the comfortable interior. Ample space and everything you need for a relaxing break. Decoration is bright and cheerful, a welcome change from the cream and green of some properties. A quiet location but only a short journey to shops, walks and attractions. Host very friendly, meals fantastic.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at HollyDale. The house was beautiful and the views were gorgeous. We made good use of the sauna, hot tub and games room. We were grateful for the cot, high chair and stair gates and for the dog bowls, towels and cover. Our multigenerational family and dog had a great holiday thank you.
This truly is the property that has it all, we wanted for nothing. The family had a wonderful week and so many things to do and lovely places to visit almost on the doorstep. When the weather wasnt so kind we were more than happy to spend the day at Hollydale and were not short of things to keep us entertained. I could not fault this holiday accommodation and the owners were lovely too. Will look forward to a return visit in the future.
Great place to stay, clean, comfortable and very well equipped. Good location, just 3 miles for Leek, so convenient to pop to the shops to stock up when we arrived, but at the same time never too far from all the Peaks has to offer. Jo and Giles had thought of everything, from a welcoming bottle of fizz to things like dishwasher and laundry tablets and towels and robes for the sauna and hot tub.
Had an amazing time! Hollydale had everything you could wish for and more besides. Either sat in the heated thatched hut or chilled out in the front garden, weather permitting, the views are just perfect, the evening sunset was stunning. Both big and little kids so enjoyed the hot tub, sauna and games room, a great karaoke session was had by all. Everything at Hollydale is first class! The location is ideal for sightseeing, a visit to Rudyard Lake, Thors cave and Coombe Valley nature park and eating out at The Reform Inn and The Lazy Trout can be recommended. Thank you Jo and Giles for helping to make a special family holiday so memorable
Fantastic house with excellent facilities. The games barn was great fun and enjoyed by everyone. The sauna isnt really mentioned much in the description but was a real hit with us. Views are wonderful, lots of space for the dogs to walk. Giles and Jo are great hosts, bringing us home made desserts and fresh milk from their dairy.
There are Genuinely not enough words to describe how EXCELLENT Hollydale House is. ...and not only is the property so Excellent, Jo & the Team who manage it, are just Absolutely the most superb we have ever known regards service, helping to make our break everything we wanted, and just wanting to make sure everything is catered for. The Personal touch is second to none & if anyone wants a get away to totally Relax, Rewind, Celebrate & be Totally looked after .... THIS IS IT. This was our Honeymoon with Best Friends, and Crikey..... If Carlsberg done Honeymoons this was It, but only because of the place and Jo & her Team
We had a fantastic stay at Hollydale in April to celebrate our eldest sons 30th birthday all together as a family . It was the perfect venue for a family celebration eight adults and two dogs stayed in complete luxury and comfort. Every bedroom being able to be made into a double or king and having their own beautiful, en suite bathrooms was what sold Hollydale to us in the first place. However, it totally surpassed our expectations. We didnt need to go anywhere all weekend because there was so much to keep us entertained so many highlights from the hot tub to the games barn perfect for 3 grown up sons to rekindle their sibling rivalry and their dad to relive the arcade games of his youth! to the sauna and heated outdoor area in which to eat, chat and chill. The property has absolutely everything you could possibly need and want how many places supply a karaoke machine with accompanying wigs?. It is decorated in a quirky but very tasteful style. Jo and Giles were very quick to reply to any queries we had and have thought of anything you might need . Thanks to them for providing the perfect setting for a memorable and very special weekend of family celebrations. We will be back quite possibly in 2 years time when its Son number 2s turn to celebrate his 30th birthday.
I honestly couldnt say a bad word about Hollydale barns. Immaculate properties in a perfect location managed by amazing hosts! We do these sort of holidays every year and Hollydale has easily been the most impressive. There was nothing we could have wanted or needed whilst there as the hosts had thought of everything. There is also a no expense spared feel to the propertys with high quality fixtures and fittings throughout even following out into the garden with the bbq and the furniture. The location is superb too and we honestly didnt think the photos did the views justice which made for a nice surprise on our arrival . If youre looking at staying at Hollydale barns dont hesitate you will not be disappointed. These properties are a credit to Jo & Giles who clearly give 100 to their business in both maintaining the barns and also as hosts to ensure you have the best holiday possible. Thanks for an amazing stay and we look forward to seeing you next year.
Excellent accommodation with very thoughtful touches. Comfortable rooms with excellent showerbathroom facilities. Well equipped kitchen with very comfortable dining chairs. We loved the games room, hot tub and watching the sunset from the garden room.
Fabulous house with everything you could possibly need . It was our second visit as a group of friends get together and ideal for a wonderful relaxing weekend. The owner is lovely and extremely helpful with any request we had . Definitely recommend and hope to return next year
We had an amazing 3 night stay, I was trying to think of anything that could be improved but cant think of one thing. This time we stayed in January but hope to return when the weather is warmer and for a week. I cant recommend it highly enough, perfect.
Fantastic place to stay. Booked it for my husband's 70 th birthday. There were 8 of us with 2 dogs. There was plenty of room for us all & the dogs were well catered for with treats, towels and a throw for the furniture. Jo and Giles went above and beyond providing meals which were plentiful and delicious and a lovely cake. Even a hiccup with the heating was no trouble for them. On the whole we had no problems and would certainly come again but in the summer to sit in the garden and take in the beautiful views. Please note that when it says steep stairs. They mean steep stairs.! You have been warned. Having conquered them you have your own private retreat. Thank you again for a very memorable time. Joe said it was the best birthday he has ever had. That is a compliment indeed.
Richard
Lovely weekend away to celebrate a birthday, everyone enjoyed staying at Hollydale and as it was December it was decorated for the season! ! Everything was provided to make a great weekend and the games room was fantastic. Giles and Jo were very helpful and responded very quickly to any question.
Excellent property, games room and hot tub fantastic. Lovely area and great places to eat, especially The Lazy Trout and Jervis Arms.
Joanne
This was the 2nd time myself and 3 friends have stayed at Hollydale. We love it! So relaxing and the best place to get away from it all and chill. The hot tub is amazing, especially with all the lovely fairy lights. The house is immaculate and so warm and comfortable. I would actually go as far as saying its perfect. We are looking at coming back again next year. Thanks for another wonderful stay
We were totally blown away by this property. From the minute we arrived we were instantly comforted by its decor and the attention to detail that the owners have put in. The rooms are beautifully decorated and each one unique in its style and equipped with everything you would need. We sampled the owners cooking as they offer a home cooked meal delivered to your door. This was such a nice touch as the food was delicious, especially the homemade bread. The leisure facilities at the property are amazing. Lots of variety and thought gone into making your stay a memorable one. A stay here is a must and not one to ponder over just book as you will be disappointed.
Michael
Great place to stay for a family get together and very well suited to our needs. We wanted for nothing absolutely everything was provided.
A super property in a most beautiful location. The quirkiness of the interior design is a joy to live with! Accommodation was perfect for a family of 4 with grandparents, and we made full use of the excellent games room and hot tub. We lacked nothing! Thank you.
Just absolutely stunning. Amazing caring owners, who went over and above to make our mini moon special, with champagne and balloons. Incredible stay, we will be returning. Thank you so much, love Amy and Nicole
An excellent property, spotlessly clean and everything you can imagine was there. Games room and sauna were fab, we'll definitely return
Elaine
We can't speak highly enough of our stay at Hollydale in the Peak District. From the communication ahead of our stay, and the attention to detail in the facilities and amenities on site, everything was first class. This was our first family holiday postpandemic and we wanted to splash out on a bit of luxury and that's certainly what we go with Hollydale. Can't recommend it enough! We will be back!
Hollydale is an Exceptional property. Jo and Giles have thought of everything we might need and their attention to detail really made this a special stay for my family. Visited with 3 adult children and their partners. Everyone had their own en suite facilities which was great. The games room was a huge hit and a welcome relief from the scorching heat we were lucky to have! The sauna was only used a couple of times because of the weather but when we did use it we were very pleasantly surprised the unit was spotlessly clean and heated up to over 90 degrees, just like being at a spa! Our girls cooked up a storm in the beautifully appointed kitchen and we enjoyed al fresco dining in the the tiki hut every night. We didnt need to worry about late night hot tub dips and games room competitions with a lot of chatter, as the facilities were situated so that any noise we made didnt travel over to neighbouring properties. Although there are two other properties on the site, the layout of all three meant every party had their privacy. Two minor things needed addressing at the property and these were attended literally within ten minutes of letting Giles know. Jo, Giles and daughterinlaw Laura were always available to help but never intrusive. The icing on the cake for me was that after a fabulous family holiday, my husband and I stayed for another few days in Parlour Barn, one of the other two properties on the site, which was stunning beautifully designed and decorated, with All of the same outdoor facilities. Beautiful views and glorious sunsets to enjoy while sipping a glass of wine or two. Three days of peace and tranquillity to round off a fabulous holiday. Thank you. Wed love to come back for another visit.
Gillian
This is quite simply one of the nicest properties we have ever stayed in. The facilties are amazing, the owners have thought of absolutely everything. The location and the views are amazing and Jo and Giles were very accommodating. Would definitely come back here.
Delightful cottage in a wonderful setting. Of special importance to our party was that the perimeter of the cottage was totally secure dog wise and we had no worries about wondering where they were we did of course clear up after them. I would strongly recommend this cottage for the extra facilities. The champagne hut was a tempting venue when the evenings turned a little cool and we even played pool and chess which we had not done for years!
Stunning house in a stunning location. Everything has been thought of and are all high end. Weve stayed twice now and been thrilled to have had great weather both times so have made the most of the outdoor areas. Would
What can I say. The house is stunning and the location is beautiful. We wanted to go somewhere where we could spend the week relaxing and this is the place for that. The owners have thought of everything from gorgeous decor, comfortable beds and things to do, whatever the weather. You will be spoilt if you stay at Hollydale! I would go back in a heartbeat x
Carole
This was a adult family holiday as my children do not live locally and this was an ideal family gathering with facilities for everyone which we all made full use of. The cottage was described accurately on the website, personal touches by the owners added to the overall feel of Hollydale. Facilities, cleanliness and comfort were outstanding and if you had any queries the owners responded quickly. Would be happy to rebook this property in the future.
A really well equipped and stylish and fabulously quirky property with so many things to do from hot tub to sauna to a fantastically equipped games room. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves in such a stunning setting with tremendous countryside views. We had pretty good weather but I can imagine in summer sitting out and enjoying those views is something else. We will certainly return!
Quite simply an amazing property. Every thing you could think of was thought of, along with many things you didnt even consider. The area is beautiful, we had dogs and found some beautiful easy walks and the younger members of the family found some amazing hikes. We visited over Easter.there was an Easter Tree, large Thorntons Chocolate Egg and many little Easter touches. A real Wow factor of a property.
Robert
A lovely house with brilliant facilities. .just not enough time to get the most out of them will have to stay longer next time!!!
We absolutely loved Hollydale house! We went with friends and our children and we all had an amazing time. The kids had lots to do, there were lots of grass to play on, and a small park which the girls loved. It was also great for the adults, when the kids went to bed. The hot tub was fab, and watching the sunset with a glass of bubbly was bliss! The guys loved the games room too. The owner was really helpful and kind, she made sure we had everything we needed and checked in on us through the weekend. We will 100 be returning to Hollydale. Thank you for everything
