Lovely old house in a beautiful village with a pub! The house was very well appointed with log fires and plenty of wood. Splendid walks from the house , a golf course nearby and Shaftesbury and Salisbury very close for visits. Thoroughly recommend it and we would go back again. If you go in the winter take some extra winter woollies!

King John's House is an amazing place for a large family gathering. Full of historic atmosphere with a wealth of architectural features that transport the occupants back to another time. Despite being hundreds of years old the house is cosy and comfortable with period furniture but with exceptionally comfy beds :) The kitchen is well equipped and c an easily cater for the needs of 18 diners. The grounds are beautifully maintained and a real delight to wander in. All in all a perfect place :)
