Easedale Lodge Reviews

An absolute pleasure to have stayed in this luxurious lodge. So close to everything.

Id like to start by saying weve had a great time at the site despite the weather, the kids enjoyed the swimming and the hot tub was a great bonus to relax in the evening and the rain didnt affect the experience. There are some defects with the cabin and it wasnt left as clean as one would have hoped but, nothing too bad. The biggest disappointment was the attitude of some of the staff in the club and the fact that there was a limited amount of stock on both food & beverages and the excuse given was due to closing in a few days which I find unacceptable given we had paid for the full experience? In summary, despite the minor negative points, we would recommend this site and would hope to experience the facilities again in the summer.
Great position close to everything, the lodge it's self could do with a deep clean dirty under sofas and shower room had hair in the sink windows on patio doors dirty. clean towels and bedding. We had a issue with the oven on xmas day plug starting to get really hot and turning black so had to send xmas meat to be cooked at my son's lodge reported it on boxing day and was fixed the same day .

We've just returned from another wonderful weekend stay at this lodge. The lodge is incredibly comfortable and well equipped the only thing that lets it down is the very poor wifi, leading to frustrated kids but I would still recommend the lodge to anyone wanting a relaxing holiday in perfect surroundings. Maybe it could be looked into to see if there is any way to improve the wifi but all in all another great stay at Easdale Lodge
Excellent location & accommodation . Would book again.

Property location is perfect right near the water front and the outside are with the hot tub and seating area is generous in size Apartment is fairly modern and has everything you need, overall its clean however for the amount it costs to hire the accommodation I do feel it could do with a deeper clean in between guests staying, for example underneath the sofas werent hoovered the oven trays on the bottom shelf need cleaning and the sofas need some stains removing etc, however I would come back but I would of recommended to friends had the apartment had more of a deep clean but overall our stay was comfortable and I would go back
Lovely lodge very cosy and comfortable, could have been cleaner, cobwebs, food splattered up the blinds in kitchen, food left in freezer and top draw frozen shut, dirty cutlery and dish in cupboard. Would have liked a welcome pack just an added touch to start your holiday. Overall a lovely lodge but would have been perfect if cleanliness was better.
We had a great stay at this lodge, it has all modern home comforts, tastefully decorated and is spacious inside and out, with a large furnished decking area, where we spent our meal times in the lovely sunshine and in the evenings. We were lucky enough to have warm sunny weather! It is a 5 minute stroll to the lake shore marina through the site and there is a wooded area for dog walking. The location is between Bowness and Ambleside and we were able to kayak to both as well as across the lake to the West shore. The following comment is a negative for the site not the lodge itself but it did impact our stay at times The reason we didnt give full marks is due to the construction noise going on directly behind the lodge, which was unexpected and spoilt the beautiful surroundings. It was so peaceful when they werent working and so it has not put us off returning as everything else was perfect and hopefully next time we come, that particular plot will have been finished. Oh and of course, the hot tub is a wonderful addition, to relax in after a day of walking or paddling
All ok enjoyed our stay
Tracey
Fantstic lodge and a really enjoyable stay. The lodge is stunning and very well located, we will definitely be looking to book again in the future.
Jennifer
Perfect holiday home. We stayed with 2 teenagers, 1 child, 2 adults and 1 dog and had plenty of room. Lovely, welcoming home with everything you need. Perfectly located to explore with plenty of walks close by. Hot tub was a huge hit after long walks. Definitely would return for another holiday, we didnt want to leave.
Mathew
Amazing lodge, beautifully decorated and furnished, few doors don't shut or lock, expesically the back door onto the decking. Would love to book again in the summer but your not listed.
Nicole
We really enjoyed staying at this gorgeous Lodge it was well stocked with everything we needed. The rooms were lovely and cosy and the hot tub was great! The only 1 negative we had was that the tv channels didn't work and the itv player bbc player were very temperamental due to the Internet
Beltin 3day stay . Had everything we needed .thank you
Pamela
Absolutely gorgeous little property, so lovely, very comfortable, super clean, lovely facilities! ! Would highly recommend, will absolutely be back to book again!
Debbie
The lodge is lovely & has everything you need. The beds are very comfortable too. Just a few problems though. Internet signal for the TV was really bad, due to the poor park WiFi. The washing machine was full of water and wouldn't drain. The freezer needed defrosting & was dirty. The bath plug wouldn't stay in to hold the water for a bath. The hot tub had loads of dirt at the bottom of it & also the floor around the hot tub was really dirty too. and very Slippy. The parking at the back is awkward due to a huge rock next to the allocated parking for easier access via the ramp. This is more of a fault of the park though. Also, the location of the lodge felt very cramped, like too many lodges had been squeezed into a small space. WiFi on the park is a problem, it is hit & miss if you get a signal. This is something I discovered a lot of guests at this park had no matter where you stayed on the park. Really needs looking into. The restaurant is expensive for what you get. The shop doesn't have that much & was without milk for the last 2 days of our 4night break. So, you're best going to the local spar for what you need. This is a dog friendly park but there isn't many pet waste bins around the park.
We had a really nice weekend the only criticism we had was the hot tub wasn't very good the jets weren't very powerful so there wasn't many bubbles and the hot tub was the main reason for booking the lodge. The lodge itself is very nice and well equipped very near to the reception area and carpark and a short walk to the marina. We got taxi into Bowness on Windermere which reception booked for us but there are also regular buses with the bus stop very nearby
Location was perfect, as for clean it was ok, we had to wipe everything down due ... Location was perfect, as for clean it was ok, we had to wipe everything down due to all the figure marks on all kitchen cupboards and tables obviously not cleaned between checkout and checkin
We had a fantastic stay at the lodge. It was a perfect setting and the weather was great so we made good use of the hot tub and decking area. We will definitely be back to stay in this lodge we had a fantastic time. The only down fall was the neighbours children were awake at 7am noisily outside playing every morning
Cheryl
Lovely property , hot tub is gorgeous and outdoor furniture very comfortable . Property itself is homely and comfortable with everything you need for a relaxing break. We loved our short break, and really enjoyed taking a picnic on the electric boats you can hire on the lake. We only had a couple of minor issues, I had to clean under the bunk bed there were tissues and dirty socks left behind by previous visitors my niece insisted we remove these and there was no gas in the bbq, but perhaps this is not something that is included in the rental ? All in all a lovely stay and we would definitely recommend it .
Christina
Excellent accommodation. Beautifully presented and in a great location. Kitchen had everything we needed. We were a party of 3 adults, a child and a dog and there was plenty of room for us. Hot tub was great and secluded. We would definitely return to stay here when in the Lakes again.
Benjamin
Fantastic holiday home. Catered for all our needs. Even down to the variety of glassware you had available! Beds very comfortable. Thankyou!
Jonathan
Lovely lodge! we had a great stay at white cross bay celebrating my wife's birthday. All the staff at the park were brilliant, we took a boat with us which we paid to keep on the Marina for the weekend, had a battery issue and Ian the Marina warden was brilliant at getting us going again. The only thing I would say is the travel cot provided was a little too big to fit in any of the bedrooms, a slightly smaller one would have been ideal although not an issue for most and it's just something to be aware of but Overall we had a lovely stay and would definitely recommend
Stayed for 4 nights in March, we had a brilliant time, very clean and tidy. 10 10
Beautiful lodge with everything you might need for a short break
Stewart
Beautiful lodge. A real home from home. The reason I scored facilities low is because on Wednesday night the app to order food and drinks went down in the restaurant and we were very poorly treated for around 3 hours.
Absolutely amazing cabin, very spacious and comfy, amazing place with wn amazing price. Would highly reccomend
Maureen
My only grumble about this accommodation is that it sleeps 7 and we booked for 7 people but there are only 6 seats at dinner table and only 6 large dining plates and mugs. Not a big complaint but something that should be taken into consideration.
Heather
A brilliant holiday location . The lodge was perfect with all amenities and plenty of crockery , glasses etc . Spotlessly clean with a fabulous patio area with plenty outdoor furniture . Loved the hot tub .
Due to the pandemic we expected a high level of cleanliness and unfortunately this was not met. We found that there was multiple areas in the property that were failed to be cleaned before arrival. During the course of the stay we had issues with the drains the smell coming both the kitchen drains and the master bedroom drains was very upsetting as this was difficult to have a pleasurable stay due to the smell that was emitting from the drains. The stay was all in all a decent stay however due to previous stays on white cross bay this property did not live up the previous stays due to the errors found.
Kristopher
The whole experience was wonderful from start to finish. This was our second time and will be back for a third!!
Miss Danielle Phillip
Second time we have stayed at White Cross we love the area, especially Bowness. Didn What did you enjoy most about your stay? The area What one experience e.g attraction, walk, day out would you recommend for our future guests? Going into Bowness for drinks and a meal
Miss Lindsay Carter
We've stayed in a few lodges now with LDLH and having recently been renovated, the standard of Easedale lodge was amazing in comparison. 3 good sized comfortable rooms, modern clean bathrooms and kitchen and tastefully decorated throughout. Amazing built in blue tooth speakers in the ceiling which was a great touch. Really good sized hot tub which was perfect for us after miles of walking in the rain everyday. My only constructive criticisms would be the kitchen is really well equipped, but so well equipped that when we arrived there was no empty cupboard for our shopping so we had to do a bit of shifting around before we could unpack. Also whilst there are signs warning that the decking is slippery when wet I do think that it would benefit from some sort of slip mat outside of summer as we all fell on it at some point, myself quite badly to the point 3 weeks on im pretty sure I've cracked a rib no biggie as I'm mid 30s but could have been nasty for an older person. Overall fantastic stay over a stormy half term week and would definitely return to this lodge, the park itself have adapted the restaurant really well to fit in with current restrictions, limited tables and all food and drink ordered on an app and once you have the app you can order food to collect too! They even still managed to have entertainment on which was brill. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Beautiful lodge and the park is perfectly situated to explore the lake district What one experience e.g attraction, walk, day out would you recommend for our future guests? Muncaster castle, bit of a trek but what a stunning place.
Mr David Grant
Great Lodge in a good condition and location. The hot tub is an added bonus and great after a long day out and about. Had no issues or problems and would happily recommend. Also good to see all staff at White Cross Bay following COVID19 rules being friendly and helpful as usual. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Great Location and scenery What one experience e.g attraction, walk, day out would you recommend for our future guests? Scafell Pike
Miss Paige Gleave
We had a lovely weekend away at the lodge. Booking was easy, arrival was straight forward and the lodge was beautiful. Really modern throughout, and really clean also. Beds were really comfortable. Hot tub was brilliant to relax in after a day of walking. Great location, about 10 mins in car to Bowness where we got on a boat across to Ambleside. Would highly recommend. What did you enjoy most about your stay? Lodge being so homely What one experience e.g attraction, walk, day out would you recommend for our future guests? Walking, Bowness

Rydal Mount & Gardens - LA22 9LU
about 4 Miles
Rydal Mount & Gardens are wonderfully situated between Lake Windermere and Rydal Water offering breathtaking scenery. The home of William Wordsworth from 1813 - 1850 the grand home is now lived in by the poets descendents but parts of the house and grounds are open to the public. Why not take a guided tour and see the rooms where many of the famous poems were written. The gardens are beautiful at all times of the year but in the summer offer a spectacular display of colour. There is also a gallery and a tearoom. Discounts are available for group bookings.
Ullswater Steamers - CA11 0US
about 10 Miles
This is an award winning Lake District attraction and they have been operating cruisers on Lake Ullswater for over 150 years.  There is no better way to explore the lakes than on water and you could even combine a cruise with a spectacular walk.  For great days out in this region then this attraction is highly recommended and will appeal to couples as well as families.  Corporate groups are also well catered for.
Lakeland Wildlife Oasis - LA6 1JH
about 15 Miles
Located in the Milnthorpe area of Cumbria we love this local attraction.  With an eclectic mix of fascinating wildlife and hands on displays this centre is educational as well as fun.  You can wander around at leisure admiring the exhibits which range from chameleons to computers. Some of the most threatened species are kept at the park as part if international breeding programmes.  Check out their website for the latest opening times and admission costs which are great value for money.  There are discounts for pre-booked parties of 12 or more.
South Lakes Safari Zoo - LA12 0LU
about 18 Miles

This is an amazing Cumbria attraction well known locally as well as nationally for how close you can get to the animals.  Described as the most interactive animal park in Europe it's well worth a visit if you are staying in the area.  Open from April to end October some of the highlights are the tigers, penguins, bears, hippos and rhinos.  At 2pm during certain seasons it's feeding time so don't forget to plan your day around this so you can watch the animals enjoying their feed.  Look out for seasonal events such as Halloween Zoo Boo (free entry for kids in fancy dress) and The Magic of Christmas.

Happy Mount Park - LA4 5AQ
about 22 Miles
Happy Mount Park has attractions for the whole family including several play areas, a miniature railway, crazy golf, putting green and trampolines, there is also a paddling pool where the little ones can splash around in the summer and a café where the adults can relax with a drink. During the summer months and especially during school holidays live music can often be enjoyed.
Lake District Wildlife Park - CA12 4RD
about 23 Miles
We love this day out in Cumbria where you're encouraged to "take a fresh look".  Some of the amazing animals you will get to see include the only Canadian Lynx in the UK and you will have the opportunity to help their Lynx Conservation Project.  The Asian Fishing Cat is also well worth a look - these cats are known for diving under the water and catching fish!  Other activities include fantastic flying displays and play areas for the little ones...
