Absolutely stunning place with amazing views, the cottage has everything you could want and more, the log fire was perfect to come into after being in the hot tub. I have already recommended this cottage to friends and family and I hope to be back again soon. The little touches like towels and robes were spot on.

The location of the property is stunning isolated but not to far from local amenities. The walks around the the property were lovely. We stayed for a week and had the best time visiting the lake district. When we arrived the cottage was very clean and had all of the essentials you could possibly need, which was a lovely surprise after a 6 hour drive! The hosts were lovely and the cottage is in a quiet place meaning you can truely unwind! Saying this it is also situated not too fa r from the nearest village and town. We enjoyed the hot tub after long days of exploring and walks! We would love to return one day!

We had a fantastic stay at Highbrow Cottage, everything was spotless on our arrival and there was a lovely welcome pack with goodies for the human guests and the dogs. The cottage was warm and welcoming, fantastic views, very well equipped and the hot tub was wonderful and well maintained. The garden was great for the dogs, enclosed and safe. The l ocation near Pooley Bridge was ideal for walking and had a good selection of places to eat and drink. We would definitely love to return.

Everything you need for a great holiday was provided. The hot tub was especially nice and a treat. The pictures do not do the property justice. The views are fantastic and you can see for miles. A great country setting.

This home from home holiday cottage is absolutely superb, it is in one of the best locations with stunning views. The cottage it's self is stocked with everything you need and more...the owners have thought of everything for you to enjoy your holiday. Also the cottage is spotlessly clean throughout...Not forgetting the lovely gardens with a hot tub which is fully checked every morning by the lovely owners.
Stephanie
I cannot rate this stay enough! The house is amazing. Its clean and well equipped. They even left a welcome basket which we all appreciated. The owners kindly left some toiletries which was a godsend. The hot tub was a lovely touch which we enjoyed every evening - It was kept clean and maintained daily. The views are second to none and you are lite rally surrounded by green landscapes and can see the mountains. As a family we have nothing negative to say. In fact we will return one day!!!!

Ullswater Steamers - CA11 0US
about 8 Miles
This is an award winning Lake District attraction and they have been operating cruisers on Lake Ullswater for over 150 years.  There is no better way to explore the lakes than on water and you could even combine a cruise with a spectacular walk.  For great days out in this region then this attraction is highly recommended and will appeal to couples as well as families.  Corporate groups are also well catered for.
Rydal Mount & Gardens - LA22 9LU
about 13 Miles
Rydal Mount & Gardens are wonderfully situated between Lake Windermere and Rydal Water offering breathtaking scenery. The home of William Wordsworth from 1813 - 1850 the grand home is now lived in by the poets descendents but parts of the house and grounds are open to the public. Why not take a guided tour and see the rooms where many of the famous poems were written. The gardens are beautiful at all times of the year but in the summer offer a spectacular display of colour. There is also a gallery and a tearoom. Discounts are available for group bookings.
Lake District Wildlife Park - CA12 4RD
about 18 Miles
We love this day out in Cumbria where you're encouraged to "take a fresh look".  Some of the amazing animals you will get to see include the only Canadian Lynx in the UK and you will have the opportunity to help their Lynx Conservation Project.  The Asian Fishing Cat is also well worth a look - these cats are known for diving under the water and catching fish!  Other activities include fantastic flying displays and play areas for the little ones...
Tullie House Museum & Art Gallery - CA3 8TP
about 20 Miles
This is a museum and art gallery in one and will suit those looking for an educational and cultural day out.  You can explore the fantastic art collection including Fine Art, Decorative Art and Textiles.  If you love nature then this aspect of Tullie House will appeal. The museum holds large and important collections of zoological, botanical and geological material. And for lovers of history there is plenty to wet your appetite here. Tullie House collects a wide range of historic materials including objects, ephemera (printed material), photographs and associated information files.  We think this museum and art gallery are excellent value for money as well.
Lakeland Wildlife Oasis - LA6 1JH
about 29 Miles
Located in the Milnthorpe area of Cumbria we love this local attraction.  With an eclectic mix of fascinating wildlife and hands on displays this centre is educational as well as fun.  You can wander around at leisure admiring the exhibits which range from chameleons to computers. Some of the most threatened species are kept at the park as part if international breeding programmes.  Check out their website for the latest opening times and admission costs which are great value for money.  There are discounts for pre-booked parties of 12 or more.
