The welcome basket on arrival was a lovely touch to get your break off to a good start! The hot tub is positioned so you can see the fells and was great after a day out in the surrounding area . A stunning little property.

We stayed in the Skiddaw shepherds hut. It is cleverly designed and the fixtures and furnishings are beautiful. It has everything you need for a short stay. Towels and toiletries provided and the welcome basket of home baked treats was a delight. The hot tub was most welcome after a day out walking on the fells. The location is absolutely perfect w ith stunning views of Blencathra and Lonscale Fell. It was also incredibly peaceful. We have already booked our next stay.

The Shepherds Hut was fabulous, once inside the freshly baked scones, jam, clotted cream, cakes and fresh milk were a lovely touch, the views of Blencathra every morning and night were stunning, the Hut was spotless, lovely and warm and very comfortable, the private hot tub was lovely after a days walking, I would heartily recommend the site to any one looking for a special treat for their partner or to just get away from the world for a few days and decompress

We booked here for 3 nights for our first wedding anniversary and couldn't ask for a better setting. It was quiet, with beautiful views of Blencathra and could sit all day there! The weather was very hot and at night we used the hot tub which was lovely. Good facilities and nice and clean too, we will be back!
Helga
Shepherds hut was fabulous. Everything you could think of was provided from towels to washing up liquid. Hot tub was great, looking out over the view. Hut was very comfortable, great location. Excellent.
Kirsty

Leah
This is my second time visiting this beautiful place, I absolutely love it! The home made brownies on arrival were delicious and I loved my daily cuddles from Titch! I will be coming back soon!
David
Small well equipped, very clean and stunning scenery as well as the night skies ( stars). Lovely welcome gifts of sweet treats.
Hollie
We both really enjoyed our hut where we stayed; Skiddaw. We did come with a 9 month old cocker spaniel puppy, and would suggest if you do the same a bigger space might be better! The location is lovely, a beautiful area. We felt limited to where we could walk the dog in the property so we ventured further afield quite early in the day. The hut was very clean and well supplied; though you need to take your own cloths, washing up liquid, etc. Overall, we had a great weekend!
Jennifer
Gorgeous place! View is amazing and the hot tub was perfect after a long day exploring! Couldnt fault it one bit and will definitely be back
Lily
A beautiful little hut in the most gorgeous location. Everything in the surrounding area was easily accessible, and I would highly recommend paying a visit to Alpacaly Ever After. The place itself was very clean and the attention to detail was incredibly thoughtful, the scones left out upon arrival were delicious! The hot tub was also very clean an d lovely to relax in and take in the views. The facilities all worked great, overall a five star experience and would definitely come back!
Jade
This was a perfect stay. The views were absolutely amazing and it felt like we were in our own little world. The spacing between the next door pods/ shepards huts allowed for privacy. The hot tub was so clean we were so surprised to see the owners had cleaned it during the day when we were out. The shepards hut itself was spotless with an amazing c omfy bed and plenty of equipment for us to make lovely breakfasts in the morning. My partner was very happy with this stay as a birthday present!
Kirsty
Just a beautiful shepherd's hut just what was needed :) Cute little jack Russell made the stay even better. Lovely scone jam and cream and milk in fridge aswell as fresh towels and biscuits just wonderful.
Shenade
The hut was beautiful and in a perfect location with the most breath taking views. The cleanliness was 10/10 and the welcome basket was a lovely little surprise, the scones were delicious!
Louis
I never normally do reviews, but I felt as though I had too for this place. Unreal place, views were beautiful. Welcomed with some amazing scones with fresh cream and homemade jam, beds are very comfy, the perfect place to go to relax, eat good food and some lovely walks. Theres a little village down the road with so many restaurants. Will definite ly be going back! Ps sorry about the smashed glass x

Robert
Really cosy and relaxing. Couldnt have asked for better. PS. Sorry about breaking a wine glass, it got knocked off the table. Thankyou for a lovely weekend
James
Fantastic location . Warm as toast despite November weather . Every detail Thought about ! Cant fault our first experience in a shepherds hut ! Great fun and better than many hotel rooms !
Sharon
Everything was beautiful The accommodation the scenery stunning
Nikki
The location, hut and surrounds were really a break away from it all. Hut was cosy and well equipped and the hot tub was an additional treat to enhance the relaxation. It was a real shame that the peace and beauty were spoiled by other guests barking dogs, especially through the night. Don't come if you want to sleep without being disturbed!
Lynne
Lovely welcome pack. Immaculately clean with beautiful scenery. Hot tub was great to relax in. Nice pub grub in nearby pub and dogs were welcome but probably need to book which we did fortunately. Definitely go back for stress free break
Richard
We LOVED our stay, thank you so much! We had great fun both at Skiddaw and in the area!!
Leah
Everything about our holiday was amazing from the fresh milk and Jam, to the hot tub and our cuddles with the owners dog Titch! It was so homely and clean, and had everything we could have needed and more. Will be going back again!
Lesley-Ann
Fantastic well equipped bijou Shepherds hut. It was immaculate inside and out, with some lovely little touches. Couldn't have asked for a nicer way to celebrate my partners 40th birthday in the tranquillity of this lovely farm surrounding. Loved our daily visits from Titch the resident Jack Russell and Rosie went above and beyond on making our stay extra special. Thank you
Alexander
Absolutely amazing .... lovely welcome basket
Chloe
The Skiddaw was a beautiful, spotless clean shepherds hut surrounded by outstanding views. Lovely selection of homemade treats on arrival which was a nice surprise! We wish we had stayed longer as it was an absolute delight. It was great that we were able to take our little dog with us too.
Mollie
Skiddaw was amazing, from the views to how comfortable the bed was everything was 10/10
Lewis

Katy
A lovely little romantic hut. Perfect for a couple of nights away. Little touches were nice when we arrived. Hot tub was lovely
Kelly
Really cute shepherd's hut, everything you need and more in there ... the homemade raspberry jam was a bonus the lambs in the field were so cute to wake up to and the little Jack Russel that wondered in was so friendly, my partner got quite attatched haha. The view as you opened the doors in the morning was fabulous Nice location only a short driv e from Keswick.
Paul
Great locations , views are superb , great place to chill and relax.
Isabella
Perfect accommodation for a short break. The location was absolutely breath taking and so peaceful. The kitchenette was more equipped than I realised! Only thing I would say is that walking to the local pub and amenities is not advisable as the lane is quite treacherous. We had the best weekend and would stay again.

Ullswater Steamers - CA11 0US
about 6 Miles
This is an award winning Lake District attraction and they have been operating cruisers on Lake Ullswater for over 150 years.  There is no better way to explore the lakes than on water and you could even combine a cruise with a spectacular walk.  For great days out in this region then this attraction is highly recommended and will appeal to couples as well as families.  Corporate groups are also well catered for.
Lake District Wildlife Park - CA12 4RD
about 8 Miles
We love this day out in Cumbria where you're encouraged to "take a fresh look".  Some of the amazing animals you will get to see include the only Canadian Lynx in the UK and you will have the opportunity to help their Lynx Conservation Project.  The Asian Fishing Cat is also well worth a look - these cats are known for diving under the water and catching fish!  Other activities include fantastic flying displays and play areas for the little ones...
Rydal Mount & Gardens - LA22 9LU
about 11 Miles
Rydal Mount & Gardens are wonderfully situated between Lake Windermere and Rydal Water offering breathtaking scenery. The home of William Wordsworth from 1813 - 1850 the grand home is now lived in by the poets descendents but parts of the house and grounds are open to the public. Why not take a guided tour and see the rooms where many of the famous poems were written. The gardens are beautiful at all times of the year but in the summer offer a spectacular display of colour. There is also a gallery and a tearoom. Discounts are available for group bookings.
Tullie House Museum & Art Gallery - CA3 8TP
about 20 Miles
This is a museum and art gallery in one and will suit those looking for an educational and cultural day out.  You can explore the fantastic art collection including Fine Art, Decorative Art and Textiles.  If you love nature then this aspect of Tullie House will appeal. The museum holds large and important collections of zoological, botanical and geological material. And for lovers of history there is plenty to wet your appetite here. Tullie House collects a wide range of historic materials including objects, ephemera (printed material), photographs and associated information files.  We think this museum and art gallery are excellent value for money as well.
