We had such a good time, the pod was decorated so nice for christmas and the welcome brownies & scones were a really nice touch. The layout of the pod is well thought out to make as much use of the space as possible and it was well equipped. We loved getting in the hot tub at the end of a wet days walking and there were some lovely walks nearby botRead moreh in walking and short driving distance. I would recommend this stay to anyone Hide

We had been on the road for 7 hours plus by the time we arrived for our weekend break, the sight of fresh baked scones and brownies was very much welcomed and a perfect touch. The pod was very clean and had everything you would need. We've had the best weekend exploring Keswick and climbing raven crag which was topped off brilliantly by having the amazing hot tub to climb in each evening. Thank you so much!
Megan
Really couldn't have faulted our stay at Striding Edge. The accomodation was really well kitted out, maximising the small space. There was everything you needed, without making it feel cluttered and clumsy. The pod was immaculately clean too. Lots of excellent attention to detail, such as the home bakes on arrival. Hot tub was perfect at the end of a day's hiking, biking or kayaking! We absolutely loved our stay and will definitely be back :)

Very cute wooden pod. Everything is there what you need. Would definitely recommend to friends. Only thing that was disappointing was that there was no roof on the hot tub as it was constantly raining whilst we was there.

We had an amazing stay. Lots of lovely little touches including scones and tray bake. We stayed over valentines and there was even balloons and chocolates left out for us. Rosie is extremely helpful and was a lovely host! Would recommend to anyone for a relaxing stay.

We had an amazing stay spending Christmas in striding edge! The cabin was very warm and cosy and a great size for two adults and a dog. Great use of the space. The kitchen had everything we needed. The cabin was decorated in Christmas lights and a tree which made it so cosy and gave a Christmassy feel. We will definitely be back! Thank you

This was our 1st visit to the Lake District, we stayed in Striding Edge 24-29 July. To stay were pleased in an understatement, it was fantastic which was topped of by the hot tub and the stunning views. Theres so much to see and do in Keswick, we walked up Cats Bells, Climbed Scafell Pike. The hot tub was misted welcome after the climb. We visited lake Windermere. Perfectly situated. We will definitely be recommending you to our friends and family. We will definitely be returning next year 5

Andrew
Perfect all round and we will be back soon. Lovely location and friendly owners. Nice home baked stones on arrival.
James
Really enjoyed the stay here, cottage was gorgeous and very clean. However, I felt like we was ignored by the staff, they never checked in on us etc or asked If they could assist in anything. No welcome pack on arrival in terms of local information, pubs and walking paths etc. This was a let down unfortunately for me as we missed some nice places f or food etc. Was also rudely awoken around 8:30 by prolonged lawn cutting etc which could have been timed much better. Needs better customer service.
Craig
Excellent all round. Great views, great location. Lovely touches with the little bits there ready for you on arrival. Will definitely be back.
Louise
Absolutely perfect. The attention to detail provided was very heart warming. I do not have a bad word to say about my experience and the accommodation. I will be returning with my partner next year without hesitation
Kerry-Anne
Beautiful cottage, super clean great views and everything well thought of. Thank you!
Ben
10/10. The property was actually bigger than I had expected, fairly priced and absolutely spotless. The location was exactly what we had hoped, secluded with excellent views. 10 minutes from Keswick so there were plenty of options to eat and drink. Would recommend & would stay there again. Ben, 28, Yorkshire
Ailie
Booked here for me and my boyfriend for Valentines weekend and I couldnt recommend enough. The whole place was spotless and every last detail was perfected (the scones and gingerbread topped it off). The location has the most amazing views of the Lake District and we loved the hot tub. Thank you so much for such a lovely stay, will definitely be ba ck!

Please note that some of these activities and days out are paid and it's always a good idea to book in advance to secure your place where applicable.

Ullswater Steamers - CA11 0US
about 6 Miles
This is an award winning Lake District attraction and they have been operating cruisers on Lake Ullswater for over 150 years.  There is no better way to explore the lakes than on water and you could even combine a cruise with a spectacular walk.  For great days out in this region then this attraction is highly recommended and will appeal to couples as well as families.  Corporate groups are also well catered for.
Lake District Wildlife Park - CA12 4RD
about 8 Miles
We love this day out in Cumbria where you're encouraged to "take a fresh look".  Some of the amazing animals you will get to see include the only Canadian Lynx in the UK and you will have the opportunity to help their Lynx Conservation Project.  The Asian Fishing Cat is also well worth a look - these cats are known for diving under the water and catching fish!  Other activities include fantastic flying displays and play areas for the little ones...
Rydal Mount & Gardens - LA22 9LU
about 11 Miles
Rydal Mount & Gardens are wonderfully situated between Lake Windermere and Rydal Water offering breathtaking scenery. The home of William Wordsworth from 1813 - 1850 the grand home is now lived in by the poets descendents but parts of the house and grounds are open to the public. Why not take a guided tour and see the rooms where many of the famous poems were written. The gardens are beautiful at all times of the year but in the summer offer a spectacular display of colour. There is also a gallery and a tearoom. Discounts are available for group bookings.
Tullie House Museum & Art Gallery - CA3 8TP
about 20 Miles
This is a museum and art gallery in one and will suit those looking for an educational and cultural day out.  You can explore the fantastic art collection including Fine Art, Decorative Art and Textiles.  If you love nature then this aspect of Tullie House will appeal. The museum holds large and important collections of zoological, botanical and geological material. And for lovers of history there is plenty to wet your appetite here. Tullie House collects a wide range of historic materials including objects, ephemera (printed material), photographs and associated information files.  We think this museum and art gallery are excellent value for money as well.
