The Little Man is wonderful. Perfect cosy pod for a relaxing and romantic weekend away. The hot tub was incredible and the views whilst in there were breathtaking! Everything has been thought of by the lovely owners so you neednt worry before going! The welcome basket was lovely and the brownies were delicious! Cannot fault a single thing. Even wit h the gloomy weather we had a great time and would absolutely return and recommend to all.

Superb pod, in a fantastic location with beautiful scenery what more could you ask for. The pod was actually better than what it looked like online, which is a first. I would go back again.

We stayed at the Little Man for 3 nights with our Labrador, it was perfect for us. Its a great location only 10 mins from Keswick and Thirlmere. Its really quiet on the site with really picturesque views. The cabin itself had everything youd need for a few days, good cooking equipment and towels etc. On arrival there was some home baking which was such a lovely touch - and tasted amazing! We would definitely love to stay here again!
Laura

My husband and I loved the Little Man; everything was taken care of, and we loved the little thoughtful treats left for us. Directions were straightforward, making it easy to find - it was all hassle-free. Beautifully peaceful and relaxing. We are definitely booking again.
Olivia
Very cosy and a perfect location with a perfect view to switch off for a couple of days and relax. Cant fault anything with the pod other than we had seen reviews left some months ago saying about a dip in the mattress. This was still an issue and very apparent as you walk in the pod and see the bed. For what it costs to stay at this location, its something we think could be resolved by now. Other than that we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here.
Martin
Was really cosy a beautiful Stay definitely go back

We have just returned from a 3 night stay at The Little Man and it was perfect! We have been to a few staycations with our dog and we both agreed this was our favourite. It had everything: large hot tub; comfy bed; powerful shower; plenty of space to cook and relax; easy access; ideal location and lovely little touches including the welcome goodies ! We were initially worried we were next to two other pods and in front of others but it was so secluded and private. Would definitely recommend!
Declan
Loved everything about the area and the cabin was perfectly located, nothing to dislike, I would definitely recommend to others.
Moore
We had an amazing time ! Clean, comfy and welcoming! Spectacular views of Blencathra. Loved the proximity to the fields, sheep and lovely Belted Galway cattle! The hot tub even in fine drizzle was great! Would recommend without hesitation !
Sophia
Other than the mattress couldnt fault it at all. Perfect stay!! The small touches were brilliant. Beautifully clean! Amazing location. Hosts brilliant and easy to contact! Cant wait to come back!
Monieya
Very clean and comfortable. Everything you could need is provided. View is absolutely stunning from the pod. Welcome basket is so thoughtful and all the little touches within the pod make the stay so much more cosy. 100% will be booking another stay as we had the best time. Good value for money.
Adam
100% recommend. Charming little place, great location.
Valerie
We had a lovely stay at the cottage. The hot tub is very private and the location is perfect. The view is also absolutely stunning and everything was clean. The only negative thing was the mattress and sadly that's quite a big factor. As soon as we walked in, we could tell it had a dent in the middle, it needs replacing. We got back pain from sleep ing on it for 4 nights and for the price of the cottage this was rather disappointing. However, once the mattress is replaced the place is perfect!
Joanne
Absolutely loved little man so clean and comfy. Views beautiful and so peaceful. Great for getting about also. Will definitely book again.
Louise
1st stay here and have booked our second trip on the way home! The lodge was very clean, comfortable and cozy and modern. The farm was surrounded by beautiful views and very peaceful and quiet. Great surrounding walks in Threlkeld as well as Keswick being 10mins away. Great dog friendly area including taxis. Lots of great local info on arrival as w ell as some lovely homemade treats. I would absolutely recommend a stay at Mire Farm at any of their accommodations. Thanks for a great holiday!
steve
We stayed in the Little Man hut for a couple of nights for our wedding anniversary and it was very comfortable with an amazing location and great views of the surrounding hills right from the door and good links to the Northern Lakes close to Keswick and Derwent Water. The inside was very clean and beautifully furnished with everything we needed to make our stay stress free. Some amazing views from the hot tub especially when the sun is going down. Hope to stay again at some time in the future.
Elliot
The cabin was a delightful stay! Felt like we were at home and we defiantly didn't want to leave. Hot tub was private and had great views, great views from the bathroom as well. The hosts responded to any issues promptly. Overall was a lovely get away. Would defiantly go again.
Steven
Fantastic views from the pod and hot tub. The pod was well equipped and we were surprised how spacious it was. Great location for walking. Loved it. Would definitely return
Clare
The Little Man was just wonderful and very peaceful. The hot tub was lovely after a long day walking, and watching the lambs and their babies. The cabin is lovely and warm and cosy.
Suzanne
We had a wonderful stay in The Little Man, the views were amazing and was great to see all the herdwick lambs. The hot tub was very welcome after walking up Cat Bells! We hope to go back one day!
Stuart
A little gem in Cumbria with amazing views.
Freya
Loved every part of our stay at the Little Man. 10/10 would recommend.
Simon
The Little Man is the most perfect property. The attention to detail in terms of design and decor is exceptional. The cleanliness was faultless. The bed was comfortable, the amount of sockets and USB ports was excellent. We love the whistling kettle. The hot tub was fabulous and the views outstanding. The visitor information (specifically the local coffee shop leaflet we found in the property with a variety of different length walks detailed) was very useful. The most perfect holiday.
Vanessa
Absolutely loved our stay at the Little Man. I could have stared at that view all day long. The design of the interior is all so in keeping with the surroundings, lovely homemade scones, jam & cream. Tea, coffee and milk also available on arrival. Hairdryer also available. What was lovely was the underfloor heating, simply fantastic!
Katie
Gorgeous pod, clean, quiet and so relaxing. Has everything you need - Would definitely recommend staying here.
Jill
We had a wonderful 3 day peaceful stay for new year will be back pods r so warm and cosy with wonderful views
Erik
Please see above. Super location, lovely accommodation, great hosts.
Lucy
This is a lovely shepherd's hut and the welcome package was much appreciated. Perfect location and ideal spot for a romantic getaway. Loved the contactlessness of the stay, especially in times like today. Anyone over 5'8" be aware, the bed is very short! Understandable in such a small space but it will make it difficult to sleep. Hot tub was really nice and ready to go when we arrived, could have done with more light and a bit more privacy. Overall a lovely stay and good value for money.
Jeremy
Beautiful property done to a high standard. Very clean and welcome pack left was much appreciated. Great location to explore other areas with Grasmere 15 minutes drive away and Keswick about 10 minutes drive. Local village only 10 minutes walk away. Village tea room very good and also provide information regarding local walks, which range from stea dy to more advanced. Great views from the fells over to Derwentwater. Great place to get away from it all and do as much or as little as you wish.

Ullswater Steamers - CA11 0US
about 6 Miles
This is an award winning Lake District attraction and they have been operating cruisers on Lake Ullswater for over 150 years.  There is no better way to explore the lakes than on water and you could even combine a cruise with a spectacular walk.  For great days out in this region then this attraction is highly recommended and will appeal to couples as well as families.  Corporate groups are also well catered for.
Lake District Wildlife Park - CA12 4RD
about 8 Miles
We love this day out in Cumbria where you're encouraged to "take a fresh look".  Some of the amazing animals you will get to see include the only Canadian Lynx in the UK and you will have the opportunity to help their Lynx Conservation Project.  The Asian Fishing Cat is also well worth a look - these cats are known for diving under the water and catching fish!  Other activities include fantastic flying displays and play areas for the little ones...
Rydal Mount & Gardens - LA22 9LU
about 11 Miles
Rydal Mount & Gardens are wonderfully situated between Lake Windermere and Rydal Water offering breathtaking scenery. The home of William Wordsworth from 1813 - 1850 the grand home is now lived in by the poets descendents but parts of the house and grounds are open to the public. Why not take a guided tour and see the rooms where many of the famous poems were written. The gardens are beautiful at all times of the year but in the summer offer a spectacular display of colour. There is also a gallery and a tearoom. Discounts are available for group bookings.
Tullie House Museum & Art Gallery - CA3 8TP
about 20 Miles
This is a museum and art gallery in one and will suit those looking for an educational and cultural day out.  You can explore the fantastic art collection including Fine Art, Decorative Art and Textiles.  If you love nature then this aspect of Tullie House will appeal. The museum holds large and important collections of zoological, botanical and geological material. And for lovers of history there is plenty to wet your appetite here. Tullie House collects a wide range of historic materials including objects, ephemera (printed material), photographs and associated information files.  We think this museum and art gallery are excellent value for money as well.
