Moorlands Manor Reviews

This property was outstanding. It was immaculate. The premises were incredible and everything was catered for. We stayed as a large family ranging from 18months 68 years. The owner and house keeper were pleasant and helpful. It was warm, cosy and just a completely fantastic stay. I don't think the pictures do it justice, even though they are incredible. I would recommend in a flash.

Moorlands Manor is a massive WOW ! It was greatly enjoyed by a three generation family group with ages varying from 2 to 71 years, travelling from various parts of the country.Highlights include the location, the decor, the infinity pool hot tub does not do it justice, the cinema room, the generous dining room and the whole feel to the house. An ideal venue for a relaxing and very enjoyable break with family.
Stephanie
Moorlands certainly lived up to our expectations. An outstanding property with every amenity you could possibly want whilst still maintaining a homely ambiance. A fabulous time was had by all 20 people from baby to seventy years old to celebrate special big birthdays! Great time in the bar making cocktails, enjoying a stroll around the grounds, watching a film in the cinema room, having fun in the spa and sauna, playing the games in the coach house, tinkling the ivories on the grand piano or just relaxing in the many rooms was a real delight. The high standard of fittings and fixtures in the house and coach house, felt like we were Lady and Lord of the Manor. Just a magical experience spent making fabulous family memories. Susie the housekeeper was amazing and couldnt do enough for us. We would definitely recommend this place for a family celebration. Thank you so much for letting us enjoy your house.
Lauren
In all of the years myself and friends have been going away, this is by far the best home weve stayed in. The vitality spa and cinema room were fantastic. And the small things that were thought of such as the welcome pack and plastic glasses being provided really make a difference to the stay. Great communication from both the owner and housekeeper, we definitely recommend this property to others and are already planning our return.
It was a beautiful place that was so thoughtfully equipped. Everything you would want in the kitchen. All queries promptly answered. All 22 of us loved every moment! Fab location for walking, cycling and kayaking on the canal
Michael
Great property, we had a great time and it met all the expectations
This place is INCREDIBLE we had the most amazing weekend, literally could not have wished for a better place. It has everything covered, enough things to keep everyone occupied games, jacuzzi, cinema room. Im still not over the weekend dont think I ever will be. That kitchen wow! The beds were super comfortable and every room was beautiful. Both the owner and Susie were absolutely fabulous, I pestered them a lot and they were always accommodating and helpful couldnt fault them. Susie gave me a great tour of the place when we first got the eve and explained how everything worked. I would go back in a heartbeat!
Sandra
This property is breath taking! ! We couldn't ask for a nicer house.
Mikesh
We couldn't fault a thing. We went as a large group and from the start we felt very welcome. We requested an 18 bed setup which was provided for us, including bedding and towels for all 18 of us. Both houses are fantastic, they were clean and tidy, the kitchen had everything you need to cook for a large group. The area is quiet but you are not far at all from shops closest supermarket being a 10 minute drive with plenty of food options around. Susie, the housekeeper was amazing at dealing with an issues we had during our stay and very easy to contact. The outdoor area with the spa and sauna was great for the warmer days, and the cinema room and 2 large lounge areas were great when it was slightly colder. I would highly recommend for a large group regardless of the time of year.

We recently stayed at Moorlands in Foulridge and it was an absolutely amazing experience! The property is stunning, with beautiful furnishings and finishes throughout. The grand hallway, with its exquisite staircase and skylight, is simply breathtaking. The bedrooms were comfortable and quiet, ensuring a good night's sleep, and the bathrooms were modern and clean. The coach house also had excellent WiFi, which was important for staying connected during our trip. The WIFI is also essential for the amazing Sonos sound system which is connected in the main house dining room, kitchen, lounge and also the hot tub which can be controlled independently from the Sonos app. The house is perfect for a group of friends or a family, with plenty of space for everyone to spread out and relax. The sitting room is a cosy and comfortable space to gather around the woodburning stove, while the games room and cinema room provided endless entertainment. The outdoor space is the real gem of this property, with stunning views of the countryside and an incredible outdoor Vitality Spa that can seat up to 18 guests. The sauna, hot tub, and summer house were all delightful places to relax and take in the scenery. The owners of the property were incredibly helpful and accommodating, The location is also perfect, with easy access to local amenities and the beautiful Yorkshire Dales National Park. One of the highlights of my stay was the games room in the coach house. It had everything you could want pool table, air hockey, sega rally, board games. It was the perfect place to relax and have fun with family and friends. One of the things I appreciated most about house was the attention to detail from the owners. They had provided us with a welcome pack which was a thoughtful touch. They were also incredibly friendly and accommodating, and were always available to answer any questions we had. I highly recommend Moorlands to anyone looking for a luxurious and unforgettable holiday experience.

To celebrate my fathers 70th birthday we travelled to Moorland and thoroughly enjoyed the excellent facilities for a week. The weather was not kind but there was so much to do in and around the house. The hot tub was well used even in light rain!! The cinema room was amazing and we enjoyed watching movies in five star surroundings. The games room contained all we needed and kept the children and adults well entertained. The rooms are so well furnished we felt in five star accommodation. The kitchen contained all we could possibly need. Huge supply of crockery, glasses, equipment, utensils, and everything you would need for cooking and catering for a large number of guests. The attention to detail was very impressive and there was nothing missing or lacking. Communication with owner and housekeeping was excellent and any issues acknowledged and responded to. All in all the place is fantastic and we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves and can truly recommend it to any family wanting to spend a special week in beautiful surroundings.
Ibrahim
It was one of the best places me and my group we ever seen. The place proper clean and facilities are unlimited. I got absolutely nothing bad to say about this manner i recommend everyone to go and visit and i will definitely be back again

We stayed a week with family and extended family. Moorlands gave us a taste of luxurious living, stunning house and immaculate decor. Stunning grounds, games room, fabulous hot tub and sauna. We didn't want to leave. Everyone said it was a week they would never forget.
What a house and location. We had a fabulous time, playing games, jigsaws, using the extensive kitchen and never watched so many movies in luxury. For a group gathering this house had it all and the owners have spared no expense. Grounds are beautiful and the outdoor spa is enormous.
Tracey
Moorlands is absolutely gorgeous. We rented the property to host a 60th birthday celebration and it worked perfectly. It is a very impressive house and everyone who attended thought it was fabulous. If I could return there tomorrow I would! The facilities are really good. The games room provided hours of entertainment and the cinema room is brilliant. At first glance the jacuzzi looks like a swimming pool as it is that big the nicest one I have ever used. There is also a really good sauna in the garden. The standard of cleanliness was high as it is professionally cleaned by a team of ladies between stays. All in all I would definitely recommend Moorlands and I hope to return one day.
Fantastic house, cosy yet grand with a huge array of facilities. Perfect for our family get together, for all ages from 2 96. Rooms very comfortable, clean and had a real sense of grandeur. We enjoyed using the games room, hot tub and sauna as well as movie nights at the cinema and board games in the sitting rooms. Great location for visiting attractions such as Skipton Steam Railway, hiring canal boats and walking through the lovely countryside. Holiday of a lifetime for many, the huge dining room perfect for large family dinners on an evening, kitchen big enough to all cook together, and the firepit and outdoor area an added bonus that made it really special. The house was clean, well equipped and the grounds were lovely too. As a bucket list bash after cancer treatment we will take away many special memories from our stay, and you can't put a price on that. So thank you
Caroline
Fabulous stay at Moorlands. The house was stunning and facilities wonderful. Thankyou
Michelle
We all enjoyed a wonderful stay at Moorlands for our family celebration. There is so much space, very comfortable furnishings and excellent facilities. Dining in the amazing dining room was fantastic and preparing meals was a joy in the very well equipped kitchen. We had everything we needed and more. The teens loved the games room and the cinema room. An incredible spot and highly recommend. Can I also add that the owner was very responsive and helpful with the questions I had prior to our stay.
Claire
A wonderful place to spend time with family. The hot tub , cinema room and games room were a big hit with all ages.
We stayed here for 3 nights. This is a beautiful home with all amenities. My family 25 of us absolutely loved it and wished we had booked it for longer. The kitchen is well equipped however we could have done with more dish washer tablets and bin liners. There was also no antibacterial spray. The hot tub was amazing. Its the place everyone spent the most time. The hidden cinema room was a lovely surprise for the children. The only issue we had was that a number of bathrooms had a foul smell and one of the bedrooms in the coach house had leaky walls and the bathroom was leaky. All in all we made some wonderful memories. Roswana.
What can I say this house is unbelievable, absolute sheer luxury, we stayed for 3 nights for my sister's 50th birthday and didn't want to leave. I would highly recommend it, the spa and sauna were fabulous adding that extra special touch , the house itself is beautiful so much space, there was 23 of us and there was more than enough space, I cannot thank Diane and her team for giving us a weekend I will never forget.
The moorlands is absolutely outstanding, located in a really picturesque place, nice and quiet and the actual house and coach house are amazing. Been here twice now and will definitely be going back, plenty of space and plenty for the kids to do in the games room or outside. The hot tub and sauna are brilliant along with all the houses facilities. I would 100 recommend. We'll be back!!
Maddassar
We stayed at Moorlands in March 2022, what an amazing property! The house was beautiful and you can really notice the attention to detail and very high standard of the finish. Highly recommend great property. Thank you Moorlands for making our weekend so special.
What a wonderful property, a rare find to find such a luxurious LARGE property. The quality of the fixtures and fittings and facilities was brilliant. The 18 seater hot tub was so special and truly enhanced the experience. Special thanks to the housekeeper too who made us feel comfortable and welcome at the start. There are no negatives, but just to let you know for feedback, we could have done with more tea towels and a few more bins in bedrooms !! Otherwise, Thank you for making this property available for people to use and celebrate their special occasions!
The house is lovely, I would say even better than the pictures and description suggests. We were a group of 22 and there was spare space. The coach house is pretty self contained allowing an area for the teenagers to hang out while the adults were in the main house. A perfect venue for a NYE break.
Rajveer
The property was stunning beyond our expectations. The whole family was very impressed with it all. Diane was great from making the booking to leaving the property she was able to respond to enquiries the whole time. No issues throughout the duration of our stay at the property and I would definitely book and stay again.
It was a great stay for our family reunion everyone commented how good it was.
Chelsea
Stayed at the Moorlands for my 30th birthday with family and friends and cannot recommended it enough! It was absolute luxury, the photographs dont actually do it justice its out of this world! We had the best weekend it was more than we couldve possibly wished for. Get booking!!!
Moorlands is an amazing venue and every aspect of the property is fantastic and you definitely feel like you are staying in a luxurious location. Would definitely recommend a stay here. The cinema room is something else!
The house is beautiful and the setting lovely. The hot pool was a big hit with all our guests, the games room and cinema room too. It was a great place for a family and friends reunion after being apart during the pandemic, for a 70th and 2 x 40th birthday party. The countryside around was gorgeous too. We found lots to do. 'Climbed' Pendle Hill 2 of our party kayaked through the long canal tunnel. Did a treasure hunt in Skipton, amongst other things. Found plenty to entertain us in the house and pool on the 2 days it was a bit rainy. Rest of the week we had great weather for walking etc. Just about every bit of equipment you could think of was provided. Highly recommend it.
Donald
We throughly enjoyed both the indoor and outdoor facilities at Moorlands. Our extended family of 18 enjoyed the games room and cinema room and loved the very big jacuzzi and the sauna too. The gardens are well kept and perfect for children to explore and play games. This is a very comfortable and well appointed house. The views from Moorlands are stunning and there is plenty to enjoy further afield Pendle Hill, the nearby canal for walks, Skipton, Thornton Hall farm and more.
Louise
My family and had the most magical time at Moorlands as your inaugural guests from the sauna, hot tub, games room, movie room to the brand new . Everything! Every single detail was thought of but in top spec style. We all made memories there that are so very special as was our mums 70th. We were supposed to be in the Algarve you see, all 18 of us, and one might think we lost out there.. but no, we WON, we all won by stumbling upon the utopian paradise that is Moorlands, Foulridge. God bless you for making it amazing xx
