We had a really peaceful and relaxing 3 night stay. Beautiful views from pod and good location. We recommend paying for the hot tub, it was a great way to start/end the day, even in the cold weather. Kind and accommodating owner, great communication.

This is our second visit and we've loved it again, gorgeous peaceful location great for exploring and relaxing. Great for our dog too, he's loved both visits with lots of beautiful walks and dog friendly places, shops & pubs to visit. Comfortable clean pod with everything you need. Definitely will make it a regular break here. Perfect
Isobel
Absolute perfection! First time to Cumbria and we had the BEST weekend break! Our pod was called 'Hadrian's Way away'. It was immaculate, warm and cosy. The hot tub was the definite icing on the cake. All of the pods have hot tubs but the one we had was on the far end so was tucked away overlooking the field with sheep and cows so was probably the best in terms of location. Simon and Jules are the most welcoming and friendly hosts. We cannot wait to go back! xx
Vicki
A wonderful, peaceful break in a beautiful location. Highly recommended.
Remmy
Simon was very accommodating and me, myself and our dog Sergio had a lovely comfortable stay! The bed is very soft and comfortable. Lovely walks straight outside the pods. We will definitely be back and have already recommended the pods to all our friends!
Andrew
Well furnished, equipment and furniture are all in good condition and not tired. Pod was amazingly spacious, shower nice and hot. We also used the hot-tub which is a necessity - you will love it!
Helen

Thank you for a great weekend. We thoroughly recommend staying here and can't wait to plan our return visit soon.

We had a wonderful stay at the Hadrians away pod. My partner and I felt very welcomed. Our dog Otis was also provided with a towel and dog blanket, which we thought was a lovely added extra. The location was perfect for us: Hadrians Wall was a short walk or drive away and it was only a 50 minute drive to the Lake District. We would definitely r ecommend this accommodation and will be staying again in the future!
Vicki
Fantastic property! Very clean, and the owner was very welcoming and friendly. Would 100% go back again!

A fantastic place to stay for a couple wanting some downtime and to relax. The hot tub was great, bed was comfy (if not a tad small) and the surroundings are great to wake up to on a nice day.

Headswood Farm Pods are a perfect location for a get away from it all break. Simon (owner) is very helpful with ideas for walks and eating out. The pods are well fitted out and the bed is super comfy. Nearby Brampton has a food hall and the we would recommend the topside and cheese burgers! WOW! We stayed for 4 nights and felt it was the perfect br eak to recharge the batteries. Highly recommend a stay here.

Attractions Near Hadrians Wall Hideaway

While there'll be plenty to keep you entertained an Hadrians Wall Hideaway itself, if you plan to get out and about and see some of what Northumberland has to offer, here are some of the nearby attractions you can enjoy during your stay. Please note that some of these activities and days out are paid and it's always a good idea to book in advance to secure your place where applicable.

Found a special day out near your cottage? Please let us know and we'll add it so that other visitors can enjoy it too!
Tullie House Museum & Art Gallery - CA3 8TP
about 7 Miles
This is a museum and art gallery in one and will suit those looking for an educational and cultural day out.  You can explore the fantastic art collection including Fine Art, Decorative Art and Textiles.  If you love nature then this aspect of Tullie House will appeal. The museum holds large and important collections of zoological, botanical and geological material. And for lovers of history there is plenty to wet your appetite here. Tullie House collects a wide range of historic materials including objects, ephemera (printed material), photographs and associated information files.  We think this museum and art gallery are excellent value for money as well.
Kielder Water Bird of Prey Centre - NE48 1BT
about 18 Miles
Housing the most fascinating collection of Birds of Prey in the North East this centre is definitely worth a visit if you are staying in the Kielder Water area. Located in Falstone it's easy to get to and makes a great day out for both families and couples.  As well as seeing the amazing birds you can learn all about the captive breeding programme and the excellent work being done there.  Some of the highlights of the day might include watching a Falcon stoop down from the skies at over 100mph and admiring the grace of the Eagles, Kites and Hawks.
Lake District Wildlife Park - CA12 4RD
about 26 Miles
We love this day out in Cumbria where you're encouraged to "take a fresh look".  Some of the amazing animals you will get to see include the only Canadian Lynx in the UK and you will have the opportunity to help their Lynx Conservation Project.  The Asian Fishing Cat is also well worth a look - these cats are known for diving under the water and catching fish!  Other activities include fantastic flying displays and play areas for the little ones...
Ullswater Steamers - CA11 0US
about 29 Miles
This is an award winning Lake District attraction and they have been operating cruisers on Lake Ullswater for over 150 years.  There is no better way to explore the lakes than on water and you could even combine a cruise with a spectacular walk.  For great days out in this region then this attraction is highly recommended and will appeal to couples as well as families.  Corporate groups are also well catered for.
