Old Mill (Lucker) Reviews

Philip
Booked this cottage for 3 days. This cottage had no WiFi. Owners knew it was not working before we arrived but did not inform us. The router was not connected and maintenance could not repair. Consequently the smart tv was not available due to no internet connection. We would not have booked this property had we known there was no internet connection. We have had no contact from either Sykes Cottages or the owners since we informed them, during our stay, of our complaint. Very poor service.
The Old Mill is a beautiful holiday house. It was exceptionally clean and furnished to a very high standard. Located in a beautiful setting. Northumberland is a beautiful county and we will definitely return again this was our third visit! and would love to stay in the same property.
Nice property, recently tastefully renovated.
This property had recently been refurbished and everything was nearly new. We did not expect this so it was a big bonus. Beds extremely comfortable which is always important. The separate TV room on the middle floor was much appreciated by our son too.
Comfortable cottage in a good location, close to Bamburgh and the coast. Lovely log burning stove in the living room, and nice spacious bedrooms. We had a lovely relaxing holiday.

Alnwick Castle and Gardens - NE66 1NQ
about 10 Miles
Alnwick Castle and Gardens today are perhaps best known for their roles as Hogwarts in Harry Potter movies but have for many years been a family favourite attraction in Northumberland. The beautiful medieval castle is open to the public and during school holidays and at Christmas and Halloween a range of activities can be enjoyed including Santa's Workshop, a Pumpkin Parade, Spell Making Lessons and Owl and Bird of Prey Flying.
Cragside House and Gardens - NE65 7PX
about 17 Miles
Cragside House and Gardens (National Trust) are a popular Northumberland attraction with a beautiful stately home and gorgeous grounds to explore. The rhododendron labyrinth is a unique and fun addition to the grounds and there is also an adventure playground where children can let of steam. It is the stunning scenery that attracts most of the visitors though with many bringing a picnic for a relaxing family day out. The house itself hosts exhibits which change regularly. World of the Water Wizard is currently on display.
Conundrum Farm - EX5 3AQ
about 19 Miles
With easy access from the A1 this lovely farm just north of Berwick makes a fantastic family day out.  Follow the farm trail and meet an array of friendly farm animals.  Kids will also enjoy the indoor and outdoor play areas, pet barn and tractor circuit.  The admission fee is excellent value and you will get a free bag of food for the animals and a bag of fish food for the trouts in the fish pond. When you want a bite to eat, the licensed restaurant is the place to go with quality home cooking and a charming location in some of the converted farm buildings.
