We have just returned from a fabulous week! The house was a perfect base to explore Northumberland. The spacious living areas provided our group of 8 with plenty of space to relax or play games. The house is beautifully presented and is well equipped for your stay. The owners are on hand to help at any time of day and left a lovely hamper on arriva l. The hot tub was a winner! We visited Alnwick/Bamburgh/Seahouses/Amble/Morpeth Centre - all easily reached using the car. Thanks to the Donaldsons.

Everything has been thought of in this property, well laid out with attention to detail and spotlessly clean. Very comfortable beds and everything worked, which makes a change in a rental property. The property was close to all amenities and ideally situated to visitor attractions and great beaches.

Worried that kitchen may not have all the utensils etc we needed to make a big dinner but they had everything and even had kids cutlery/plates etc. We all had a wonderful time

Lovely 3 night break, the house was amazing, spacious, everything you needed provided. We played the games provided, enjoyed the hot tub, cooked and shared meals, watched films on Netflix, just time as a family and doing things we dont always have time for, many lovely extras , fresh flowers in the hallway, a hamper with treats for us and our dog. Would love to go back as surrounding area lovely.

A lovely spacious and beautifully furnished house in a great location for the beach and nearby sight seeing. The village itself doesn't have many attractions but there is a helpful Co-op within walking distance. The beach is a fair walk away, but there is plenty of parking there (Druridge Country Park) if you drive. We loved the hot tub and relaxin g on the comfy sofas. Coffee machine uses beans :)

Alnwick Castle and Gardens today are perhaps best known for their roles as Hogwarts in Harry Potter movies but have for many years been a family favourite attraction in Northumberland. The beautiful medieval castle is open to the public and during school holidays and at Christmas and Halloween a range of activities can be enjoyed including Santa's Workshop, a Pumpkin Parade, Spell Making Lessons and Owl and Bird of Prey Flying.

Cragside House and Gardens (National Trust) are a popular Northumberland attraction with a beautiful stately home and gorgeous grounds to explore. The rhododendron labyrinth is a unique and fun addition to the grounds and there is also an adventure playground where children can let of steam. It is the stunning scenery that attracts most of the visitors though with many bringing a picnic for a relaxing family day out. The house itself hosts exhibits which change regularly. World of the Water Wizard is currently on display.
