Garthgate Holiday Lodge Reviews

Louise
We had the best 4 days in the beautiful Garthgate lodge. Everything has been thought of, the lodge is immaculate, bed is so comfy & all appliances of a high standard. Everything you need & more is provided. Sarah gave us a warm welcome with lots of helpful tips for our stay. The welcome pack was so thoughtful & much appreciated. The hot tub was a welcome addition after a day of exploring North Yorkshire & was so relaxing. Thank you so much for a great holiday, we wont hesitate in recommending your lodge & we look forward to visiting again.
Wow amazing place to stay. Best welcome pack we have had in a cottage. Everything you could ever need is catered for! Spotlessly clean! Bed is super comfortable a bit small for us though as we have a super king at home! no complaints though as it was very comfortable. Loved the furnishings. Owner extremely helpful and nothing was a bother. Even supplied extra coffee pods for me to try fellow Nespresso lover!
Absolutely perfect stay, the accommodation was excellent and had everything needed including all utensils. The hot tub was a very nice touch and we had a very relaxing few days. You can tell this place is new as it had everything needed. Would highly recommend to anybody.

Wow, what a find! We had such a lovely stay, with everything you would ever need for a relaxing getaway. The attention to detail really makes this place special, including the lovely welcome pack with local produce and doggy treats. The hot tub was perfect and really made our stay. The cottage is within walking distance about 20 minutes to two local villages, we recommend the fish and chip shop in Rillington and the Ham and Cheese Pub dog friendly in Scagglethorpe the food at the pub was amazing and had a homely atmosphere. An amazing few days in the cottage, including a trip to nearby Malton. 1010, we will be back!!! Thank you so much for having us and the warm welcome.

Excellent New Modern Lodge
We stayed at Garthgate Holiday Lodge for 4 nights between 17th July and 21st July 2023. When we arrived, the lodge was very well presented and was lovely and clean. What you see in the photo?s is exactly how it is, beautifully decorated throughout. The kitchen is well stocked with all the amenities you can think of, plus more! The bed is amazingly comfortable, giving us 4 nights of great sleep. The bathroom is luxurious including large walk-in raindrop shower. The hot tub was immaculately clean and under cover via a gazebo. We found the temperature to be perfect. Sarah is a very welcoming host and was happy to answer any questions we had. There were so many little touches that made the world of difference, including simple written instructions for appliances placed around the lodge. The jar of hygiene amenities in the bathroom in case you forget anything. Torches in the bedside drawers in case of a power cut during the night (Not that we had a power cut during our stay). Even the high spec free Wi-Fi and Netflix subscription! They really had thought of everything from a guesses perspective and got it covered. We have stayed at similar lodges before and found Garthgate to be superior to them all. We would have no hesitation recommending Garthgate Lodge and will be looking to make a return visit soon. Stayed Friday 14th July till Monday 17th for my partners birthday absolutely loved it didn't want to come home I've stayed in a few hot tub lodges but Sarah the owner as really done her best and a lot more thinking of everything that you could possibly need didn't let the weather spoil it as the hot tub was under the gazebo and went to the ham and cheese pub for some lunch really do rate that for the food really big portions but we will be definitely going back thank you for a lovely stay
This is an outstanding little cottage. Full of the comforts of home. We would have no hesitation to recommend this cottage we had a lovely holiday here and will definitely be making return visits in the future. One thing we would add is that the photos on Sykes website do not do this cottage full justice. The outside patio area is lovely and the hot tub just adds to the overall experience. Excellent holiday.
We loved our stay at Garthgate lodge, it was clean and beautifully furnished. The quality fixtures and fittings really showed and Sarah and Pete could not be more helpful and kind. The location suited us perfectly with easy reach of beaches and dog walks.
