Great location, lovely cottage, fab hot tub. We will definately come back...no better recommandation. It worked well with our dog as the garden is safe.
Mark
Wonderfully located property and if you want tranquility and genuine peace and quiet look no further. We visited in November and although unsurprisingly the weather was cold and wet, the constant changes in the scenery was truly wonderful to see.
Hilary
If youre looking for a farm cottage with a spectacular view and hot tub, then Calf Cottage is the place for you.
Sharon
The cottage was clean and comfortable Definitely home from home. The owners were very welcoming and friendly and nothing was too much trouble
Sonja
Beautiful location, set back from the road but still convenient for days out. The views from the cottage are some of the best I have seen, hot tub spot takes full advantage of this. The cottage is attached to the main house and the garden runs the full length of the property, it is secure but if you are taking a dog bear in the mind the resident doRead moregs do visit so if your dog is reactive, this might not be ideal. Cottage is clean and comfortable, Wi-fi is hit and miss, to be expected with location Hide

The location is simply stunning and being able to sit in the spa with a drink looking out over the countryside was just amazing. Julia was so friendly and welcoming. We all had a fabulous holiday including the hounds and have already booked next year Thank you
Rosario
Stunning views from the cottage, especially when in the hot tub. Bedrooms and en-suite are large and the beds extremely comfortable. Would definitely return
Joanne
Absolutely stunning location! Lovely little cottage which is well equipped and has everything required if you are wanting to cook. Lots of really nice and useful touches like providing robes and an ice bucket for drinks in the hot tub! My boys loved the resident dogs Tess and Smudge who came to visit. Good location being just 15 minutes from Harrog ate and about 25 minutes from Knaresborough so lots of nice areas to explore in easy driving distance, as well as gorgeous walks on your doorstep.
Gary
The accommodation was perfect. The location was gorgeous. What a lovely view to wake up to. Julie the owner was extremely helpful and pointed out some lovely places to visit. Our springer Spaniel loved playing in the enclosure and he absolutely loved swimming in some of yorkshires lovely reservoirs. We should've booked for 2 weeks instead of just 1 but now we know of it we will definitely be back. Thanks Julie for your hospitality and of course the cakes and other essentials. It was perfect.
Kirsty

It's easy really - we've just had one of the best weeks of our lives. The cottage is top-notch. Well-equipped, very comfy settees, big comfortable beds, spacious bedrooms with superb en-suites - the Old Calf Shed ticks every box. As for the views - just enchanting. To gaze out from the cottage or the garden out across the rolling countryside of stu nning Wharfedale rain or shine was pure bliss. And to kick back in the hot tub after running the Rob Burrow Marathon in Leeds was simply fantastic.
Nicholas

A warm and cosy retreat, great to travel out and visit the surrounding area. Our host Julie was friendly and gave us a warm welcome. The cottage had everything you could need to make your stay enjoyable. Getting in the jacuzzi overlooking the dale was a really lovely end to our busy days sightseeing.

Lovely cottage in the most beautiful location. We stayed with 2 small children and a dog - the owner provided everything we needed and was at the end of the phone to answer any questions we had! We particularly enjoyed the walk up to the woods behind the farm.
Kerry
Lovely place, people and location. Great place to chill and relax, great time doing nothing. The owner showed us around the working farm, really found that interesting.

If you are looking for some peace and quiet, away from the hustle and bustle, this is perfect. Yes, you need a car to go anywhere, but the views and seclusion are worth it. Very quiet for a working farm. Cottage very well equipped, hot tub was lovely. The milk and cakes on arrival were appreciated. The resident dog, Tammy was very friendly and Tamm y and our dog loved having a play in the enclosed garden. Lots to do in the surrounding area, I am sure we will be back.
Christine
Stunning location, great for exploring the dales. Our host was very welcoming and helpful and we were really impressed with the farm having been given a tour if the milking barn. I wish all dairy farmers were like this. Hope to visit again.
Donna
The inside of the property itself was clean and tidy, with fresh towels and robes supplied for use of the hot tub, along with miniature shower gels, shampoos and body creams. We loved the extra touches; the dog biscuits to feed 'Tammy' and the home made cakes and fresh milk supplied
Rosie
Fantastic cottage, the host Julie was great, yummy cakes when we arrived, milk in the fridge, we took our dogs, loads of fields for them to exercise, good walks from farm, hardly went anywhere, why would we, we will definitely be back
Annmarie
Just returned from a fantastic weekend at the cottage. We were so lucky with the weather and experienced the most beautiful evenings in the hot tub. The little extra touches in the cottage were lovely and very appreciated e.g cakes, chocolate on bed, fresh eggs. Our dogs loved the out door space and enjoyed playing with the owners dog too! We found some beautiful running and walking routes from the cottage. Overall a lovely little cottage with beautiful views, would love to return.
Claire
Had a wonderful stay. 4 adults and 1 dog. Cottage really well equipped. Beautiful location and views. Very dog friendly. Great walks from the cottage. Julie host really helpful. No complaints at all, we will be back!
Susan
A lovely property. Great host. This cottage is on a working farm and quite a way out. It means a car journey to get to pubs, shops etc would recommend if this isnt a problem for you.
John
Lovely cottage, but, hot tub not the best, cover damaged and highest setting not working. Biggest problem is its advertised as enclosed garden, important for dog. Garden is shared with owner,. Up the owners end is a broken wooden gate which is kept closed by a stone. The gate was frequently left open, which we had to check every time we let dog out . Its a working farm so would be a nightmare. Parking area for cars is a muddy mess, so dont valet car before you go, or take nice shoes/boots.
Michael
Stayed here for 4 nights and it was perfect. Great location on a working farm in the middle of no where with great views of the surrounding areas, just what we wanted to switch off for the week. Hot tub for sun rise to start the day was perfect then again for sun set after a good days walk. Very nice pubs close by, just a short drive, we liked the smiths arms. Accommodation was very clean and very comfortable beds. Will definitely be coming back in the future.
Lisa
Beautiful cottage. Very spacious. Amazing views. Julie the host was very welcoming and left us a bottle of wine, cakes and chocolates in the cottage! She also took my husband and daughter on a tour of the milking sheds, which was thoroughly enjoyed by our 8 year old! Hot tub was clean and situated perfectly in the garden to enjoy the views. Cottage was well equipped and comfortable. So cosy! We will definitely be back! Lisa, Dave, Lewis and Maisie Jackson (Selby, North Yorks)
