My boyfriend and I visited Curlew Corner for a December weekend getaway. We couldnt have asked for a single thing more. The pod was cosy and comfortable, with everything we could possibly need! We spent most of our time in the gorgeous hot tub, and especially loved the alpacas in the morning. I would also recommend the Farm Yard Brew, lovely little pub about a 15 minute walk from the site. 1010 recommend and we will definitely be back!

A perfect stay. There was nothing that was needed that wasnt provided. A friendly, family run site. Beautifully located a short drive from Lancaster and Morecambe. Would recommend to anyone and plan on staying again.

Had a lovely 2 night stay. Lodge had everything we needed including robes and slippers for the hot tub. Cosy but still enough space, underfloor heating for when it got a little bit chilly and a decent shower. Had a lovely firepit and BBQ and the owners left us alone unless we needed anything. Wish we could have stayed longer!

I had a wonderful relaxing stay for 5 nights , couldnt fault anything and so comfortable . The hot tub was amazing. I loved the fact that there was dressing gowns and slippers, a fan and milk already supplied and the cupcakes so thoughtful. I will be definitely going back

We had a lovely stay at curlew corner, very peaceful & relaxing, made even more special by the superb hosts Diane & Ray. It had all the home comforts neatly fitted in the pod & extra, with use of robes & slippers, as well as welcome pack of tea, coffee, sugar, milk & delicious buns on arrival. Nothing was too much trouble, looking forward to returning.

We had a lovely relaxing time during our stay, hot tub was great and pod had everything that we needed. Our host Diane was very approachable and friendly. All in all great experience and would 100 recommend.

Mill House Farm Pods, it was brilliant from start to finish and perfect get away , Diane was brilliant on arrival and give us her reviews on place to visit while on site to local businesses and was a great hostess whist at Mill House Farm Pods. We woukd recommend to visit walling ice cream farm and the local brewery and the chippy wasn't to far away from the location .

This was our first time in a pod and it was absolutely wonderful. There was everything we needed, the owners had thought of everything when designing the interior of the pod. It was spotlessly clean with quality fittings and fixtures. The hot tub was lovely, as was the setting on the farm. The owners were on hand to settle us in and were so helpful and friendly. We would absolutely return again without a doubt first class accommodation a wonderful break away.

Fantastic stay. Only a one night visit, but would easily accommodate us for a longer stay. Everything you need to base yourself from or cosying up for a film night or two. Diane was a fantastic host and met us at the pod, with an explanation of all the sights local and a bit further a few locations within easy walking distance to enjoy local brewery with live music being one. I would definitely recommend this place, and will be looking to come again.

Myself and my girlfriend had an amazing stay. We couldnt fault it at all. We didnt need to ask for anything as the host went above and beyond our expectations. The location was very quiet which is what you want for a lodge. The location is in the middle of everything which was good! Half hour from Blackpool & around half hour from Windermere so there was plenty to do through the day & if you didnt want to go anywhere, the hot tub was perfect for chilling! We will definitely be booking again & we highly recommend to anyone who is looking for a break to book here!

Cannot recommend this enough. Me and my partner stayed for our 3 year anniversary and it was ideal. Felt like the only 2 people around. The pod itself is so gorgeous and well thought out. Everything you could need right there! The hot tub was amazing and very private. There is a great brewery bar 10 minute walk away which gad live music on the Saturday. Diane was lovely and so welcoming.

Our stay in Curlew Corner was lovely. The pod was fantastic and had everything we needed. The pod is located on a family run farm so we had the delights of waking up to the sheep and lambs which were just a short distance from us. Definitely recommend a visit here if you want something different to a usual city break.

Located in the Milnthorpe area of Cumbria we love this local attraction. With an eclectic mix of fascinating wildlife and hands on displays this centre is educational as well as fun. You can wander around at leisure admiring the exhibits which range from chameleons to computers. Some of the most threatened species are kept at the park as part if international breeding programmes. Check out their website for the latest opening times and admission costs which are great value for money. There are discounts for pre-booked parties of 12 or more.

South Lakes Safari Zoo - LA12 0LU

about 20 Miles

This is an amazing Cumbria attraction well known locally as well as nationally for how close you can get to the animals. Described as the most interactive animal park in Europe it's well worth a visit if you are staying in the area. Open from April to end October some of the highlights are the tigers, penguins, bears, hippos and rhinos. At 2pm during certain seasons it's feeding time so don't forget to plan your day around this so you can watch the animals enjoying their feed. Look out for seasonal events such as Halloween Zoo Boo (free entry for kids in fancy dress) and The Magic of Christmas.
