About Dallicar House

Dallicar House is a magnificent barn conversion based in Giggleswick, North Yorkshire, situated in a rural area with stunning countryside views from every window of the house. Both internally and externally, the property has been renovated from a 17th- century barn into a luxurious and contemporary holiday property for families and large groups.

The ground floor boasts a spacious open-plan sitting room and dining area with a range of deluxe seating for up to 12 people. A 65” TV and sound bar, as well as a superb three sided wood burning stove creates a wonderful social space to enjoy.

The bespoke kitchen has a large central island with sleek worktops and a range master cooker and hob along with an American style fridge freezer which offers ice and cool water. A convenient utility area houses the private laundry facilities.

A large family room with four single beds and luxury en-suite, completes the ground floor. Upstairs has a further four spacious bedrooms; 1 super king size and three king size, all with smart TV’s and their own unique en-suites, showcasing the level of quality this property has.

To the rear of the property, there is an enclosed lawned garden and patio area with stunning views of Settle and Giggleswick. Sit out on the garden furniture with a gas barbeque and open fire place and enjoy a refreshing berverage, before stepping into the large hot tub.

Explore the fantastic mountain bike routes around the Yorkshire dales, with plenty of footpaths in the area for keen walkers including the Yorkshire Three peaks challenge. Dallicar House is a stunning property. The property was everything we wanted and more. The owners were really helpful and accommodated more fire wood when asked! The location is very rural, but also close to a lovely pub and beautiful village. Settle is only a very short distance away and also a lovely little town. Would highly recommend and would definitely return!

Wow, what a beautiful property! We were all so happy with our stay and the property and area are lovely. The property catered really well for a group of people with enough space and room for all. Very clean and tidy on arrival and we were lucky to have pretty decent weather after a bad forecast . We had a meal at the Craven Arms for my 50th birthday just down the road which was lovely. And the owners left us a lovely basket of goodies thank you. Our only slight disappointment was my children were looking forward to using the Xbox but it didn't seem to work and the lounge area needs some nest of tables to put drinks on as you couldn't place your drink within arm distance whilst relaxing on the sofas. To end, a real gem of a holiday cottage with views to die for! A lovely property to celebrate a special family birthday.

This is a fabulous house in a remote spot, for a luxurious get together the only neighbours being the sheep. The owners were very thoughtful and proactive in meeting our needs and provided a lovely unexpected welcome hamper. We loved stargazing from the hottub, watching the sheep and the short walk through the fields to Settle. Sadly the weather didnt support us enjoying too much of a relax in the lovely garden chairs. However, we enjoyed a fab day out to Bolton Abbey and Billy Bobs which were also brilliant. All in all it was the perfect place for me to entertain my family on my birthday.

We chose Dallicar house for a break to celebrate 40th birthdays. What a stunning place!! We had everything we needed, plenty of space, great kitchen, and views to die for! Had a fantastic meal in the Craven Arms too. If we had to grumble about anything, the lounge area does not seat 12 people, there was 10 of us on this trip and it was a squeeze. We will be back next year, such a beautiful place to make memories!

This was our second visit to Dallicar House. It was just perfect including the weather for our group of siblings and spouses. So good that weve booked again for next year. This is our second sty at Dallicar House and we enjoyed it very much. The kitchen is great for cooking for 10 people, plenty of seating and you can walk to a pub at the end of the track to the house and to Giggleswick or Settle over the fields. There is lots to do and see in the area. And the views from the house are fantastic.

The location for walks was ideal. The scenery from the property was beautiful and wanted to make us stay longer. The house has everything we wished and was well equipped to make it one of the most enjoyable stays weve had in a long time. Thank you

Beautiful Property and perfect for big family. The rooms are good and the location worked very well for us. It was very peaceful and the views were amazing. Hot tub works really well!! I would say the sofas are not too comfortable for the evening and not enough for 10 people to sit around together. Some of the dishes and kitten utensils need replacing, they have been used regularly and looking very old. Regardless of the above I would still comeback, its a fantastic house!

We had a lovely weekend with all the family for my husbands 70th. The house is in a beautiful location and is well appointed. We ate at The Craven Arms on th Friday, which was very good and it was nice that we could walk there.We had a chef for the Saturday night which was really excellent. Overall a great experience for all three generations

We rented this for my daughters hen weekend, absolutely amazing could not of wished for a more amazing place to spend the weekend with family and friends. Everyone was so impressed by the whole house, surroundings and a lovely little walk to local pub. Definitely book again.

What a beautiful property it is so well decorated. Each room had towels and robes which was lovely. The kitchen was really well equipped with a massive oven. The hosts had left us a lovely welcome pack. It was absolutely perfect for our girly weekend. The hot tub was also amazing.

Dallicar House was absolutely amazing and I would wholeheartedly recommend it to anyone! We were a party of 12 girls staying for a weekend away and all of us said how absolutely brilliant it was. To start with, it is set in beautiful countryside and all you can see is 360 degrees of lovely fields and hills. The property is absolutely stunning, and is furnished to the highest standard. The kitchen, dining room and lounge are beautiful, and the open plan style is great. The bedrooms were all perfect, and were all decorated so stylishly. We couldn't choose which bedrooms we wanted, as they were all gorgeous! The bathrooms are absolutely stunning and as one of my friends said, it was like staying in a 5star hotel. The fact that every single bedroom had an ensuite was just fantastic for a girly weekend away! That really sold it to us! I cannot recommend this place highly enough, it was a wonderful stay and we all said we'd love to go back! The best rental property I've ever stayed in!

This was a wonderful property, very high spec fixtures and fittings. It is in a great quiet location and was a great base for our family weekend.

The property was amazing. As a group of 10 we wanted for nothing. All of the fixtures and fittings were of a high quality. We had problems with the WiFi but electricians were send straight away to fix it. Just a nice distance from Settle to walk in for a wander and pub lunch but a pub a lot closer if you didn't want to walk that far. Definitely recommend to groups of friends or families with children. Surrounding scenery is breathtaking

What an amazing week we have just had! My whole family were able to get together for my 60th birthday celebrations and being able to do it at Dallicar house was wonderful. We had 8 adults, 4 children and a baby and we never felt on top of one another. We knew we had found somewhere special as we rode up to the house, the pictures of the outside didnt do it justice, it looked beautiful, full of flower boxes and the scenery is to die for, then you open the front door and wow its just as beautiful inside, the standard of the interior design is outstanding and that kitchen is a dream its packed with every bit of equipment you could possibly need. The children loved the sheep and cows and the hot tub for the adults was the cherry on the cake, it was always kept lovely and clean. The little touches like inside and outside games for the children were a lovely thought. Everyone loved it and we cant wait to come back. We made some amazing memories. Thank you.

We had the most fantastic stay at Dallicar House. The beds were so comfy even the insomniacs slept! and every room was beautiful. The location is stunning with lots of walks right from the doorstep. A very spacious kitchen which is a must for us as we love cooking. The outdoor seating area was lovely and the fire place was great for summer evening use. The whole house was light and spacious for 11 people not to be tripping over each other. We would absolutely stay again.

Our stay at Dallicar house with our extended family was amazing! The rural setting was simply stunning and the facilities in the house made our stay very comfortable especially with children. The hot tub, barbecue, fire pit, beddings and the well equipped beautiful kitchen were a stand out. Our children were excited to meet cows and sheep grazing right next to the property. Highly recommend this property for a peaceful nature retreat. Elaine host was very helpful and promptly responsive to our queries. Thank you and we would love to visit Dallicar again.

Lovely, super clean, well maintained property. Not overlooked. Beautiful views. A pub within walking distance and a slightly longer walk to the sweet little town of Settle. Lots of things to do and see in the surrounding area. Hot tub was well used so the provision of robes was very helpful.

We spent the week being amazed that we were lucky enough to be staying in this lovely property. The stunning views were framed by every window you looked through, and after a days walking there was nothing better than a soak in the hot tub. This house and setting is simply stunning! Absolutely everything has been thought of by the owners. A lovely welcome basket with nibbles and prosecco was provided, dressing gowns in each bedroom which is perfect when using the hot tub. We were here celebrating our 40th birthdays and had 2 lovely ladies come to do spa treatments and a private chef to cook for us on night, the kitchen and dining area was perfect for this. We will definitely be highly recommending this property and already looking at dates we can get together to return.

This house is just stunning! ! Everything about it is so classy and finished to the highest spec. It has to be the best one we've stayed in. We are 5 older or shall I say mature ladies and totally enjoyed the luxury as well as the stunning scenery made extra special seeing the animals everyday along with rabbits and what I think was a stoat family playing in the back field. Located in the Milnthorpe area of Cumbria we love this local attraction. With an eclectic mix of fascinating wildlife and hands on displays this centre is educational as well as fun. You can wander around at leisure admiring the exhibits which range from chameleons to computers. Some of the most threatened species are kept at the park as part if international breeding programmes. Check out their website for the latest opening times and admission costs which are great value for money. There are discounts for pre-booked parties of 12 or more.

Happy Mount Park - LA4 5AQ

Happy Mount Park has attractions for the whole family including several play areas, a miniature railway, crazy golf, putting green and trampolines, there is also a paddling pool where the little ones can splash around in the summer and a café where the adults can relax with a drink. During the summer months and especially during school holidays live music can often be enjoyed.

This is an outstanding world heritage site located close to Ripon in the North Yorkshire area. Nature lovers will be in their element with an abundance of wide open spaces to explore and there are special guided tours for families.
