Fellgarth Barn Reviews

Keith
Wonderful property. Quiet, spacious, clean, well equipped with very comfortable beds. All bedrooms are en-suite. Great games room for kids. Ideally situated for walkers and for sightseeing. Would highly recommend.
Gene
This was our second visit to the property and it was just as good as the first time. It's just like home from home. It's the perfect place to go and chill out and relax with peace and quiet. Has great places to visit and eat out. I'm sure it won't be our last visit.
Gill
A magnificent property for those looking for quietness and peace. Plenty of space for up to 8 people. Everything we needed was there and we loved it. The views, the walks and the proximity to Kirkby Lonsdale was great. We'd return again at some point. The piano was a delightful bonus!
Karen
Pleasant home in nice location. Local pub serves fantastic food but not really walkable due to narrow roads, no paths and no lighting.
Shirley
Steps within house could be an issue for people with disabilities, would have loved a shower in the 3rd bedroom but I am sure some people love a bath. Games room was good to have especially if weather not good, new table tennis bats required. Overall a great rural location and lovely and large house with plenty seating for everyone.
Moyra
Beautiful cottage and location stunning but there were a lot of internal steps which had a big drop resulting in one of our party falling and cracking a bone in her foot. We feel there should be a warning that it is not suitable for people with mobility problems.
Christopher
This is a wonderful barn, in a quiet area. We loved every minute of our time here. It's big and cozy, well-equipped, peaceful, and homely. We'd definitely stay here again.
Graham
Can't recommend highly enough - this is a very well equipped, spacious and comfortable barn in a beautiful, very quiet location with lovely views. Food and drink in the village pub was great, Kirkby Lonsdale is a few minutes away for food shopping etc and the Lakes/Dales are within easy reach. We had a fabulous week and will definitely come back!
Helen
Fabulous barn, a great base for a walking holiday.
Karen
Amazing place and location. We even managed to walk to The Pheasant pub which I can recommend for a lovely, lovely meal. Comfortable and cosy, it had everything you might need for a break away. Nice places to visit in the area and good public transport services. Definitely recommend.
David
This is ideal for a large gathering. Very rural with great walks and scenery. Friendly sheep and locals.

Absolute gem of a find. We had a fantastic week here. Comfy beds, well equipped kitchen. Spotlessly clean.
Melanie
Amazing holiday stay, everything so clean and the barn is huge, more than enough room for three couples, garden room an added bonus, loved spending time in there with the doors open, reading a book or just taking in the magnificent view, utility room a godsend after spending the day swimming

Located in the Milnthorpe area of Cumbria we love this local attraction.  With an eclectic mix of fascinating wildlife and hands on displays this centre is educational as well as fun.  You can wander around at leisure admiring the exhibits which range from chameleons to computers. Some of the most threatened species are kept at the park as part if international breeding programmes.  Check out their website for the latest opening times and admission costs which are great value for money.  There are discounts for pre-booked parties of 12 or more.
Happy Mount Park - LA4 5AQ
about 15 Miles
Happy Mount Park has attractions for the whole family including several play areas, a miniature railway, crazy golf, putting green and trampolines, there is also a paddling pool where the little ones can splash around in the summer and a café where the adults can relax with a drink. During the summer months and especially during school holidays live music can often be enjoyed.
Bowland Wild Boar Park - PR3 2QT

Head for the Bowland Wild Boar park and we don't think you will be disappointed.  A popular attraction in Preston there is so much to do for the whole family.  From picnics, walks and wildlife to experiencing feeding the animals you are sure to have a memorable day out.  Also popular is the kids tractor play area.  For rest and relaxation the cafe is ideal serving hot drinks and snacks with a lovely view over the pond and wildlife feeding station.  The Forest of Bowland has been declared an Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.

South Lakes Safari Zoo - LA12 0LU
about 25 Miles

This is an amazing Cumbria attraction well known locally as well as nationally for how close you can get to the animals.  Described as the most interactive animal park in Europe it's well worth a visit if you are staying in the area.  Open from April to end October some of the highlights are the tigers, penguins, bears, hippos and rhinos.  At 2pm during certain seasons it's feeding time so don't forget to plan your day around this so you can watch the animals enjoying their feed.  Look out for seasonal events such as Halloween Zoo Boo (free entry for kids in fancy dress) and The Magic of Christmas.

Ullswater Steamers - CA11 0US
about 26 Miles
This is an award winning Lake District attraction and they have been operating cruisers on Lake Ullswater for over 150 years.  There is no better way to explore the lakes than on water and you could even combine a cruise with a spectacular walk.  For great days out in this region then this attraction is highly recommended and will appeal to couples as well as families.  Corporate groups are also well catered for.
