Great place for the humans and more importantly the dog. We had a lovely Xmas here and were extra happy that our dog was happy and secure the whole time. Meant we could relax and enjoy. Especially enjoyed the added extras the owners left us to make it Christmas. Would definitely stay again

We had a lovely birthday break at the farm hut. Although we went in the winter time everything we needed was in touching distance, A lot of thought has been put into this accommodation, with lovely touches.

Really lovely for a short break, just what was needed. Very peaceful and the hot tub is great. Cabin very cosy and surprisingly warm! The enclosed garden meant we could let our dog potter about without worrying about him which is hard to find from a lot of holiday cottages. We love this place! We first came in March 2023 and we re-booked straight away for our mini-moon which weve just been on this weekend. We had the best time relaxing in the hut and hot tub. The dogs loved every second as they were free to roam as we knew they couldnt escape. Weve definitely be back very soon!

Everything you could possibly need was neatly packed into this compact space and the hot tub was pre-warmed for our arrival! I would highly recommend this holiday. My husband and I, with our two little dogs had a great time. The hot tub ready for our arrival was a lovely touch, as was the cookies and bottle of prossecco in the fridge. We enjoyed using the bar-b-q, and playing with the dogs in the field. When sitting outside with our coffee in the morning, and early eveni ng we could watch the hares and rabbits playing in the field opposite. All in all a completely relaxing break . Thank you.

Absolutely loved our stay in the hut! It has everything you could possibly need and was great for our dog! Its so cosy and peaceful, the perfect place to relax. We loved the hot tub which the owners were super helpful of how to get the temperature perfect! We will definitely be returning!

Wow what a fantastic stay! Perfect for our reactive dog. We have never felt so relaxed and comfortable on holiday together. For such a tiny place there was a surprising amount of room. We went out on some lovely day trips one was to Richmond (recommended in the folder on site) and lots of local pubs were dog friendly. The only minor negatives were the internet was quite slow and the BBQ could use a good scrub! .We want to try out the cottage next time as we had such a fantastic time! Thank you!

Really beautiful holiday! Nice and quiet so perfect for reactive dogs with plenty of walks around to enjoy. The hot tub was lush and all prepped for our arrival which was perfect after a long drive, would highly recommend and will be going again!

We had a lovely couple of days here with our two terriers - the bed was a little small for two "large" adults but we managed - the garden is secure for the dogs and the hot tub was a hit with hubby - attention to detail was excellent and shower was lovely and the hut was warm (once we worked out the temperature gadget in the cupboard). If you want to use the BBQ ensure you get some charcoal as that isnt provided - lovely place to stay and lots of nice places to visit nearby

Just what I needed for a relaxing rural break. The area is so peaceful it was perfect for my reactive dog to enjoy some calm. The hot tub is amazing once you have mastered your fire building skills, and it's easy to maintain when you've got the hang of it. This is such a lovely place. We were lucky enough to have had excellent autumn weather and enjoyed spending the evenings in the wood fired hot tub after having an early tea at the Bridge Inn at Stapleton, or the Fox Hole at Piercebridge, both of which are very dog friendly. Its so rare to find this quality of Shepherds Hut with a wood burning hot t ub, which is dog friendly so if like us that is what you're looking for then stop scrolling this is definitely worth every penny.

Everything about this place is beautiful, you can see how much effort the owners have put into it by how well it is presented and how well everything is thought out, even down to little treats for the dog. The location is great for a relaxing peaceful break, and Sophie and Keith the owners were so friendly and offered help if we needed it, I would definitely recommend this place and will be returning.

The field barn hut is just stunning. If you want a secluded private romantic place to stay , this is the place for you. Its secluded enough for maxium privacy but also close to local shops and sight seeing destinations. Sophie the owner was amazing from start to finish. We will definately be booking again the future.

This is a recommended day out for families with young children visiting the Bedale area of Yorkshire. Visit the farm and receive a warm welcome as well as a guided tour. You will have the chance to bottle feed the lambs, bath a pig and handle some of the smaller animals. Kids will love the big sandpit and the outdoor play area. There is also a cafe and indoor play area for when the weather is not on your side.

Lightwater Valley - HG4 3HT

about 21 Miles

Situated in the Ripon area of North Yorkshire this popular theme park makes a fantastic day out for the whole family. The more daring will love the big and thrilling rides such as Raptor Attack, The Ultimate and Trauma Tower. For the little ones there are some excellent attractions such as Flying Camels, Dodgems and a Magic Wheel. Toddlers will like the Dragon Boats and the Lightwater Express amongst other things. There are over 40 rides and attractions in total and we think this is excellent value for money too. If you book your tickets in advance online you can save even more money and beat the queues.

Fountains Abbey - HG4 3DY

about 25 Miles

This is an outstanding world heritage site located close to Ripon in the North Yorkshire area. Nature lovers will be in their element with an abundance of wide open spaces to explore and there are special guided tours for families. Some of the highlights may include seeing wild deer and bats during your visit. The grounds are fantastic to wander round but there is also an Elizabethan Mansion, Victorian Church, Georgian Water Garden and the finest example of Cistercian Abbey ruins in the country - Well worth a visit!
