Little Daisy Cottage Reviews

Gordon
We love coming to Hornsea a very dog friendly place and we have the perfect Place to stay in little daisy cottage. Lovely friendly hosts in Paula and Steve always on hand just a few minutes away if needed. We came 3 separate weeks last year and just got home from our 3rd stay this year, so yes you could say we love it.
A nice cottage, located in a great place and especially handy for walking into Hornsea. Hot tub was great and the beds very comfortable.
We have just returned from a week in Little Daisy, a family of 4 with dogs. We have had a great week, the cottage is so comfortable, great location, something for all the family in walking distance and the garden was a great size to enjoy the nice weather and hot tub. Owners was friendly and reassured us if we needed anything just to let them know. This was our second stay an we will most definitely be returning.
We had a lovely stay at Little Daisy Cottage. The cottage was very comfortable and it gave us the perfect place to stay and explore the area.
Beverly
Sleeps five, but only two can eat at once, and only three can sit in the lounge. Very noisy road directly outside.
Lovely little cottage with a beautiful garden! The road noise didnt really bother us as we knew in advance and still slept with the windows open. Just the odd noisy motorbike or tractor would wake us. Bedrooms are lovely, downstairs is small but fine for a few days. Very small dog friendly! Great park nearby and lovely quiet beach. Hot tub was fab too. The only things I would say I would prefer is an extra loo, expected one in the ensuite as most have them, there was quite a lot of things in the house, felt a little cluttered, inside the wardrobes and in the kitchen oh and it would be nice to have a line prop for if you do any washing and a few more pegs! Other than that we loved it and would definitely stay again if we visit this area. Thank you!
We had an amazing stay. The cottage is lovely. Garden a sun trap and hot tub a bonus. Location absolutely amazing Hosts were so welcoming right from the very first communication We would definitely stay here again and 100 recommend
We had a lovely break at Little Daisy Cottage. The cottage is exactly as described with spacious bedrooms above a smaller downstairs. It was very clean and the beds really comfortable. Its central position made for an easy walk to shops, park, sea front and mere and great to have its own off road parking spot. Also nice to chill in the hot tub a new experience for us! There are also plenty of loungers and outside seats and table for Summer days. Paula made us feel welcome and was ready to help if needed without being intrusive. Little Daisy is a great place to stay in Hornsea.
Gordon
Little daisy cottage is an ideal place to stay, it is well placed in a most dog friendly seaside town of Hornsea. The accommodation is owned by Paula and Steve who are very friendly couple. The cottage is very clean and comfortable and close to dog friendly pubs and places to eat and a short walk to the beach. We stayed at daisy cottage 3 times last year and as we were there last week we are booked in for a week in June and a week in November. Love the place and area. Gordon, Cathy and pooch Molly
Owners were lovely and communication amazing, even brought us a tin opener when the other broke! Very well equipped with everything required for a short stay. Location great with dog friendly amenities on the doorstep. Including a lovely park for a dog run and pubs dog friendly. Welcome pack was most appreciated. There's a freezer as well as a fridge for food storage. Take note of listing saying upstairs is much bigger than downstairs, summer months the garden is more than equiped for everyone to sit together but not much room if 5 people want to socialise inside. Only 2 people and 2 dogs for us in March so didn't matter Garden is totally enclosed and dog safe for small and large dogs. Garden was also very pretty yet functional. Hot tub lovely and clean and relaxing.
We had an amazing time at the cottage. Nothing was too much trouble. Beautifully clean. Cottage totally equipped with everything you need. Linen lovely and clean and so many towels available. Hot tub was amazing and really made our stay totally relaxing.
Richard
Second stay at this lovely property. Has everything you could need including fizz and treats on arrival. Hot tub is fab after those long beach walks. Finn the pooch is very comfortable here and knowing the garden is completely secure makes for a relaxing break. So much for exploring the country this place is going to keep drawing us back. Thank you Paula and Steve.
Michael
It was a lovely cottage in a lovely location. The only thing, was a very busy and noisy road but only at peak times. So need to watch children and dogs . There are 3 beds, 2 doubles and a single but I don't think it's a 5 person cottage because of the seating in the lounge. 20 mins walk through the park to the sea front and back up the high st were there are ample pubscafe's and shops. There are 3 pubs 2 mins away 2 of which were not that welcoming but the Victoria was. Stackhouse bar just around the corner opposite the church was our favourite. Very welcoming and plenty of real ales. I would recommend this cottage to all. Oh I nearly forgot the hot tub
Loved the stay at the cottage. Cottage has everything we needed including a hot tub. Met the owner Paula mid week which was really nice to check everything was ok. My daughter came over to see us, loved the cottage so much she has booked the cottage in March. All good.
Richard
A great place to stay with pubs and restaurants within a very short walk and the convenient off road parking was much appreciated. The cottage was clean and well equipped and the owners were friendly and communicative when needed. Would definitely recommend.
Gordon
It is the 3rd time weve stayed at little daisy cottage this year so obviously we love it and just booked for next May. Thank you for being lovely hosts in a lovely cottage see you in May x
Richard
The property is absolutely fantastic, beautifully clean and well maintained. Beds are comfy and towels are top notch. Hot tub was amazing to come home to at the end of each day. It is duperbly located for the beach, park, shops, pubs and restaurants. We loved it and our dog felt at home from the minute we arrived. We have stayed in a few holiday lets across the country but this is easily the best. Thank you Paula and Steve.
Christine
Just had a 7 night stay at Little Daisy Cottage. It was like home from home. Everything you needed was there. Nice welcome pack of treats for two and four legged guests. We had our GSD with us and she loved it too. The house was spotless and had high end bedding on the very comfy bed
Charlotte
We had a lovely 7 nights at Little Daisy Cottage me and my husband and our 5 year old son. It was the perfect base to explore the area from, coming back to an amazing hot tub and really comfortable beds each evening. Hornsea is a charming town and the sandy beaches are fantastic. The owners of the cottage are so nice and friendly but not overbearing at all. When I wanted to check something I just sent Paula a text and she replied in no time. We hope to come back again!
Perfect location close to the amenities. Enjoyed it very much and I have already booked next year.
Firstly weather was exceptional, which always helps. Cottage is ideally placed for all local amenities, and garden is ideal for relaxing. As I said to Steve prior to leaving, we never return to same venue. In this instance however, we will make an exception. Total brilliant experience, great town and superb cottage. Thanks to both Paula and Steve.
Gordon
Little daisy cottage was a lovely place to stay, close to beach shops and pubs places to eat and I have never seen a more dog friendly seaside than Hornsea just brilliant. Fish and chips Lillys, Sullivans, and Whiteheads all spot on, Med Mex bar and restaurant very nice. Back to our lodge. Although we dont do much cooking on holiday but could not find a small pan also the shower above the bath seems a strange bracket holder. My wife our dog Molly and myself will be back at Little Daisy Cottage later this year. Regards Gordon, Cathy and Molly
Cheryl
A wonderful week away in a lovely cottage, this is the 2nd time staying here and this time was made even better with the addition of the hot tub which we used daily. Paula & Steve are lovely hosts and can't do enough for you without being intrusive. Everything is catered for in this cottage and the beds are so comfy you don't want to get out in the morning. Our little dog Milo loved it too and settled in straight away, there is a lovely big park just across the road which he loved, and just a short walk to the beach. We will definately be back.
Alison
A lovely little cottage with everything you could need for your stay. Comfy beds, quality bed linen and towels add a touch of luxury as well as the hot tub.The location is right in the heart of Hornsea, with everything in easy reach. Beautiful parks for dog walks, plenty of shops, cafes and pubs. The beach is also a leisurely walk away.
Daisy Cottage was very clean and comfortable. Yes its right in the town but this means you can leave the car behind walk to the pubs, restaurants and also the beach is close enough to walk as well. This was wonderful. Noise levels did not affect us in anyway, some days was slightly noisier than others but thats to be expected in the town itself. The Hot tub was lovely and relaxing after exploring Hornsea and the surrounding areas including Bridlington and Whitby, plus many more. Hornsea itself is a pretty place, very clean and friendly atmosphere. I would recommend Daisy Cottage for anyone that either likes to stay in one place and not use the car or to be used just as a lovely place as a base to explore surrounding areas. There are many beautiful places to choose. Thanks for a wonderful stay Paula in Daisy Cottage.
Another stay in this lovely cottage. Spotlessly clean, extra thoughtful touches, everything you could need and more. Shops, tearooms, pubs and parks all nearby. Close to a busy road, but we were certainly not disturbed by the traffic noise. Paula and Steve couldn't be more helpful. Looking forward to our next visit.
We have just returned from 7 nights at Little Daisy Cottage first points were communication with Paula she was fantastic really made us feel welcome and provided so much information. The pack in the house was great too with so much in the way of tips for places to go. The house itself was super clean, the hot tub amazing and the outside garden was perfectly enclosed for our dog and children. Space to hang washing out was really good too. The house is right next to a main road the listing does mention this earplugs were a must as the road is very busy. However this meant the location was perfect for exploring without having to drive the park across the road was great and it was nice to be able to walk to places in Hornsea including the beach and the Mere. Off road secure parking was a bonus also. The house itself was super clean, the beds really comfy and it was really homely. We really enjoyed using the house as a base to explore the amazing East coast and surrounding area. To then return home to the hot tub was perfect. Negative points for us was the shower was terrible really low pressure. Also the house could do with more kitchen items like baking trays and cooking items pizza cutter, tongs, fish slice, large spoon. It was also the first cottage we've stayed in where only 1 roll of loo roll was provided per bathroom. The curtains in all 3 bedrooms were lightweight so by 5.30am both children were wide awake as they're used to dark black out curtains at home. Really minor tweaks would make this home 1010.
March 2022 Unfortunately we had to cut our stay short as the road noise was just too much for me and our cat who also came on holiday with us, to bear. Not living close to a main road, had no idea of the noise level or proximity of the traffic to the front window, had to keep the curtains closed so the cat didn't have a nervous breakdown. We also didn't use the hot tub, because it wasn't relaxing being in the garden again due to noise. Not any fault of the lovely owners or Sykes Cottages, the property listing does state that there is road noise, I just didn't realise how much. We also had an issue with the ensuite shower, didn't feel very safe as it's a flat even surface and therefore slippy, maybe pop a shower mat in that bathroom. The above aside, the property is lovely, warm and welcoming inside and the main bedroom bed is so comfy.
Absolutely fabulous! Perfect break, lovely hosts and hot tub was a bonus! We Ill definitely be returning for frequent destress breaks and will be recommending to all our friends. Beautiful bedding and such comfy beds made for a great nights sleep!
First time in Hornsea and will not be the last! !! Cottage was more than perfect. We will definitely be booking the cottage later in the year. Took my 3 children and they loved the skate park not far from the cottage, age 15, 10 and 8 Thank you again.
Leslie
Perfect cottage, well equipped, very clean, credit to the owners.
Paula made everything so nice for our arrival and provided great local knowledge on what to do. The house is located on a main road but there is no traffic noise. The house is in excellent condition and all the equipment is high end. Highly recommend!
George
Not suitable for five people. Very noisy road. Steep outside step. Only 2 dining chairs.
Daisy cottage were excellent in every respect the only thing lacking was an ... Daisy cottage were excellent in every respect the only thing lacking was an umbrella in the garden to shade from the Sun it was very hot in the afternoon whilst we were there and had to sit inside because lack of shade

Paula & Steve who's house we stayed at were lovely & helpful
George
This cottage is both clean and comfortable. It is in central position for those staying with a dog, this town is very dog friendly with hornsea mere and a large park on the doorstep to this cottage, also three dog friendly pubs within a stone's throw of the cottage
Another happy week at this lovely cottage. Everything we needed and more. Local for everything. The flowers and fizz were very welcome. We shall certainly visit again. Paula is a lovely and very helpful host.
Suzanne
Great cottage central for everything you need . .park over the road great for dog.beaches go on for miles...the owner made us feel safe leaving anti bacterial sprays and gel .everything had been santized before our visit . would definately recommend..
Cheryl
Lovely little cottage in Hornsea, ideally situated and very cosy and has everything you need. Says for 5 people which yes it does sleep 5 comfortably, but downstairs would be very tight for 5 especially if they were all adults but as there were only two of us and a little dog we were more than accommodated.
